- Just as Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were headed for discussions at the second informal summit between the two leaders in Mamallapuram near Chennai, SNI’s Deputy Editor Parul Chandra sat down for a chat with Dr Lobsang Sangay, the President of the Tibetan government-in-exile, formally known as the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) on Saturday morning. The Harvard-educated Dr Sangay minced no words as he spoke about the current situation in Tibet and what his expectations from both the Chinese and Indian governments are. Noting that Chinese repression in Tibet has not worked, he called for a peaceful dialogue between the two sides. He also made it clear that China will have no say in choosing the successor to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. “It’s for His Holiness to decide who his reincarnation will be.” Dismissing Chinese claims on choosing the next Dalai Lama, Dr Sangay asked why they wanted to choose the successor of a person whom they have consistently vilified. Slamming China for the repression of his people in Tibet, Dr Sangay drew attention to the destruction of monasteries and attempts to destroy Tibetan Buddhism. On the mysterious disappearance of the Panchen Lama a quarter of a century ago when he was merely five, Dr Sangay accused the Chinese of kidnapping him. “We don’t know if he’s alive or not. The action of the Chinese government is unacceptable. We want to know where the Panchen Lama is.” Watch this interview for more.

I visited Tibet in year 2018 during Wesak and Buddhism is still alive in Tibet and the people are very devoted. Everyone behaviour good and bad has it's cause and effect within ourself and the environment. Whatever is happening around the world are all connection with karma. Law Of Nature. As a Buddhist cultivator to learn and practise Buddha Teaching is the most pleasurable life as to end the seas of suffering of karma, emptiness, impermanence, birth, old age, sickness and death. Nothing vs. Everything. With loving kindness and peace sees all humanity as one. Respect ourself and respect others. Everyone has a Buddha Nature. This is the true meaning of Buddhism and as a Buddhist.

Your parents left the place long time ago, and you are a foreign citizen now. Claiming land in Tibet of China is like Singaporean claiming a piece of land in Shanghai. The land belongs to millions of people live there, including more than 10 ethnic groups of population and they don't like foreign invaders.
