- After initially denying that it had used F-16 aircraft in the dogfight with the Indian Air Force on February 27, a day after India struck a terror camp in Balakot, Pakistan now has obliquely acknowledged that it used the U.S.-made fighter. So what exactly happened during the air battle that lasted less than seven minutes? In this exclusive chat with SNI's Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale, Air Marshal SBP Sinha, a fighter pilot who retired from service on December 31 last year as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command, details the sequence of events and how he feels the Pakistani Air Force that deployed nearly 24 aircraft for the misadventure goofed up big time, displaying lack of professional training.

Both nations will glorify their own personals but logic must play a role for those who understand. otherwise keep chanting and chest thumping will not let the facts disclose.
He said a very correct thing though. The IAF was always capable and powerful. It was just ain hands of the government. The present government gave us the free hand we needed and we delivered. This is why India needs Modi.

1- If you say its because IAF flies more and PAF is poor and doesn't have fuel, well they shot down a Mig 21 and made IAF shoot its own Mi17, which says a lot. In Kargil war, one mig crashed inside Pakistan (no surprises) and PAF shot down another Mig looking for the first one. PAF lost none. So PAF won all air battles in the past 20 years.
2- If you say its because IAF has more aircraft, then what's the use if IAF keeps losing all them aircraft to accidents and then losing the most recent air battles.
3- Abhinandan is making selfies (for Bhabi Jees and bachay) after his plane was shot and he was captured after stupidly entering enemy territory. PAF didn't even release the video of the shot plane which definitely would have won them amazing propaganda points. Talk about professionalism

high level professionalism of Pakistan armed forces was evident on 16 december 1971 in Dacca Race course.
To summarize- in response to Balakot, immediately the day after Pakistan sends a strike package of 24 fighters! They fly in 4km inside the LOC, drop bombs and leave. Abhinandan goes chasing after them chivalrously in his mig-21, gets his jet blown to smithereens, gets beaten up by Pakistani locals, is taken into custody of the PAF, has some coffee, gets comfortably hosted and even responsibly escorted back to his own country by the same PAF, who he went chasing after in the first place!

AWACS has electronic surveillance which means in addition to detecting aircraft, it knows which aircraft is being used. Also RTI confirms F-16 has been shot.

Lectures of professionalism and training coming from IAF which shot down its own helicopter (confirmed) and lost a MIG-21 (confirmed). I am not even mentioning SU-30 who's status is like the PAF F-16 i.e. unconfirmed. Secondly, had an F-16 been shot down, the IAF wouldn't even have paid any heed to what the ISPR was saying (1 or 2 or 3 pilots). The very fact that IAF just had an AMRAAM to show in the initial press conferences and that "our ground troops saw it" statement and nothing else shows that they didnt have any proof. Also, even after more than a month they showed 2 boring radar images and again said we have proof but cant show. "PROFESSIONALISM" right? WOW. IAF can fool indians but not the entire world and the world has serious doubts over IAF claims as per so many new articles. Lastly, IAF statement says that PAF locked on to several of our aircrafts but we defended ourselves but you fired one R-73 and it hit?? Only fools believe you now LOL

3am IAF jets enter Balakot, Pakistan. Next morning India said they killed 300 terrorists. Pakistan takes international journalists to the site and shows that there is no terror camp but a Mosque still standing. three bombs missed the Mosque and fell 100-200 meters from the mosque (the wire website and many others have imagery photos). Then PAF on Feb 27 at 10am broad daylight enters J&K and drops a bomb next to military depot and records video showing to International military personnel that we are very capable (Operation Swift Retort). in that strike a Mig, a Sue jets were downed by PAF. an Indian helicopter also crashed. total 2 IAF pilots dead and one captured by PAF drinking tea. Kashmiris were at plane crash site in J&K and were chanting “Pakistan Zindabad.” India fires its IAF Marshal and Pakistan releases captured pilot as a peace gesture. India have not forgotten and will never forget. InshaAllah

Nobody is asking a critical question. Why were the IAF fighters working on the ancient 'turn hot, turn cold' ground control, instead of a tactical data link (such as the link 16) which was in use by the PAF for 20+ years?
