Is the drummer in a band that we can check out?
I have all of TOOL"s work but I went ahead and bought this version on ITUNES also. Great work!! I will donate. Keep up the great work!
Its much better and more professional if you put the full name for the bands credit. So people recognise the artists.
only if you work on getting women on the guitars and drums. and kill the patriarchy.
Does anyone else comeback and listen ever once in a while
froglick28 even added it to my Spotify playlist
Not the same as watching it . Watching the drummer is a treat
I keep coming back to listen I can't believe how hard these kids rock this Tool stuff as good as Tool does just about
At least daily. Honest, I heard this version before I heard Tool's, and I think I like this cover better.

Yep. Me too. And love it every single time I watch it. Talented young musicians. I mean REALLY. REALLY! Glad it wasn’t just me.
Hell yeah!! Greetings:))
I play this cover song blue tooth while traveling! I love this group of youngsters!!
Hey this is Curtis from the video… left another comment a while back. Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas. Really enjoy coming back to this video every so often as inspiration to keep drumming!
Wait, you're the kid on drums?
I've played with some amazing drummers that have toured nationally and I was floored by your performance in this video. You owe it to the world to keep drumming. That's pure talent. Take it from an old guy that let his skills rust away.... Keeping doing what you love and don't let life get in the way or take it away from you.
Curtis that drum solo was amazing! How long did it take you to learn and practice well enough to play it? Keep it up!
At the time I had only played drums for a year and a half. I had sheet music for the drum part, and it took about 3 months of learning it and then another month of playing along with a metronome every day and getting it perfect. Unfortunately, I don't know what website/program my drum teacher used to get the sheet music.
10 years later, it's not immediately in my hands, but I imagine I could work it back up in 2 weeks or so :)
The biggest difference for me in learning drums parts has been listening to a song 10000 of times in my day because I genuinely love the music. Then going back and transcribing the rhythm with pen and paper is easy to do. The bridge between listening and writing the music down is SINGING the part. If you can sing the drum part from memory, you will be able to play it.

Love the enthusiasm and performance. So many of you clearly gave it 100% and it shows ….
It's been 10 years, and I'm still in awe. We need a where-are-they-now update on these kids.

The young man with the percussion sticks exemplifies the notion of no matter how small the part may seem, do it to the best of your ability. Take it seriously because it is a part of the whole, an important part and without that part all the rest would be impacted. Excellent.
also the piano and the other percussion. excellent job.
I was thinking the same thing.

What the bassist guy does here is amazing.
Yeah but objectively the drums are the hardest part in the song, purely because Danny Carey is the best musician in the band
9 years later, they deserve 28 million views and maybe more. They have a few other covers that are impressive in one or two aspects, but this all around great. Possibly the best music video on UA-cam.

How do U know this!
Um, because I can read.
Hi, watching this in October 2023 - I first experienced this stunning talent about 10 years ago! These kids are spectacular!
I've watched this about a hundred times over the years. And it's still RIDICULOUSLY good.
The dude on the drums is a fucking monster. And yes, the vocals are in the wrong register. Because she's literally a child. And still manages to pull off an incredibly challenging cover.
10/10. Absolutely no notes. One of the best UA-cam cover videos of all time.
Might seem like an odd comparison, but I saw one analysis of George Michael when he did Somebody to Love with Queen and it was pointed out that rather than try to copy Freddie's range, George just did his own style of singing, which came out far better than if it was a copy. Same is true here...she couldn't have duplicated Maynard at all, so she took her own voice and made it her own.
The drummer is the best example of what is the energy of metal
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer So, Tool is not metal? Uhhhhhh.

Most likely the single best video on UA-cam and the best cover of a Tool song period. The Bass player, the drummer, the singer, the lead guitar, the kid with the sticks?!? Come on, I watch this once a week just to smile.
The kid with the sticks plays drums on their cover of Ozzy No More Tears.

The drummer (Curtis) asked to cover this song.. and it's as good as the original version (or even a bit better)
@dravakian definitely an excellent cover and I guess it fits that the drummer would specifically request it. Also pretty accurate that it took him and a couple other kids to cover all of Danny's parts.
I've been listening to Tool since the 90s, and this song was one of my favorites. I was driving to work one day just listening to random UA-cam songs when this came around. My eyes grew wide and a goofy ass smile appeared on my face. I had lost hope in the youth when it came to music. Now, I have hope. That's what this song means to me. And to rate this song. I think this song knocked the original out of the water. I also rate it boldly as the greats cover, I've ever heard. Hands down. They owned it.
