You are an extremely patient teacher.... you don't really need to know how patient you are... You didn't need to endure all my abuse at not getting the ideas the first or second time of viewing but you maintained your calm and patient tone each time! The beauty and joy of internet learning. Now even I am making all kinds of crochet things even on airplanes..... Thanks so much for sharing your skills and patience. I will try to pass on the skills of teaching as professionally as you have.

I'm loving this. I can just about do everything else with thread but never crochet. This has given me the confidence to try with my hooks I inherited from my Grandmother. Thank you so much for giving me a link to her as she passed away some 20 years ago.

This is great. Thank you so much. I am a complete "newby." I used to watch my babysitter sit and crochet for hours and I always wanted to learn but couldn't sit still long enough.

"That happens more frequently than you could ever imagine." The wording and tone of that tickled me :D
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I learned how to single crochet from another video, but the person in that one talked so slow and didn't word it nearly as good as you did, or demonstrate as well. This is very helpful, and I'll definitely be coming back to learn more :D

This makes sense, and yet doesn't make sense. I think it's just that I lack experience in doing it. Watching it, it does make sense, but I won't really understand it until I pick up some yarn and a hook. I wanted to try to find a video that worked with my individual way of learning before I started attempting to do it. Thanks for the vid

One and thru and two and two..... Until this lesson i had *no* idea i was missing the one, and one of two (i wasn't looping over before going thru only *one part of the stitch) totally explains why my first bit looks way wonky. Still having to grasp the following posts part

Thank you so very much for your video. I do already know this, my mom taught me, but didn't know the names, nor can I interpret the patterns :'( I hope I can learn here.
P.S. I hold the hook like a pencil, she taught me like that. I might give it a try to crochet like you, but seems quite difficult. :)

Some people learn differently. Perhaps you can find someone who isn't going as fast. Personally, this pace was suitable for me. I wouldn't hurt to go slower, but it's not necessary for me. I hope you will find, or already have found, a vid that works for you.
