- Filipino Malls Are Insane | Manila | Goodbye Philippines! Our last day in Philippines was in Manila and with 10 hours to kill before our flight we checked out a nearby Mall. We didn't expect it to be so crazy, it felt like we were in Vegas. We will miss you but we will be back!

Wow, this mall looks crazy! We were just in a mall in cebu and were already so impressed, but this one takes it to another level😀👌 Definitely want to go there as well now🙌

+JJ's Journey It's the Newport Mall inside the Resorts World Manila complex! If you don't want to take the shuttle bus to RWM, you can just use Runway Manila to walk right across from the 4/F Food Hall of NAIA Terminal 3 to Newport City where Resorts World Manila is. Btw, Runway Manila is a really cool pedestrian walkway that connects the NAIA Terminal 3 to RWM. They would even let you ride the golf carts there if you don't feel like walking just like what Travel Beans did on their way back to the airport, lol! I've actually seen your vlog in SM City Cebu. If you were impressed with it, then wait 'till you see SM Seaside City Cebu which is currently the 3rd largest mall in the Philippines and 7th largest in the world! I also suggest you check out the Entertainment City Manila in the Bay area. It's dubbed as Asia's Las Vegas- like gaming and entertainment complex situated along the reclaimed area of Manila Bay! Check out Solaire Resort & Casino with their newest attraction "Dinner In The Sky", you can also check out The City of Dreams and Okada Manila with its amazing musical fountain show which is one if not the biggest musical fountain show in the world and The Cove Manila which is an indoor beach club right in Okada Manila. These places will surely blow your mind and worth exploring even if you don't play in the casino because there's a lot more attractions and beautiful things to see! Not a lot of travel vloggers have gone there, so I have a feeling a vlog featuring the Entertainment City Manila might just get viral just like this vlog of Travel Beans which garnered so many views, haha!:- )
this video is a bit misleading. the so called mall is resorts world. it is a casino hence looks like vegas.

The Entertainment City sounds awesome haha! just a little advise, before going to the smaller islands you should stock up on cash because a lot of the smaller islands have limited choices in terms of banking. when i went to el nido i brought cash since i knew el nido has some very backwards banking choices.

I recall they had BPI but was limited to P10k. Had to insert my Debit card twice.
Next time you go back to the Philippines you should go to the northern part. The Bataan Ancestral House, Baguio City, Rice Terraces, Vigan, Pagudpod and Batanes Island. You should travel between the month of January to April summer time in the Philippines.

Philippine malls are destinations in themselves. They are designed for Filipino families who want to spend the day out in an air-conditioned place without actually buying anything. haha
Haha yes, we don't really have this as much in the UK. It is just somewhere to do a bunch of shopping haha
Hmm without buying anything?so I guess most of the malls here would be close by now if those pinoy would not buy right?so how many tourists the Philippines has?around 5 million a year whereas Thailand has 20 more and also Malaysia Singapore etc so do u think that those mall exist because of tourists?i don’t think so!

Malls in the Philippines earn so much with just pay parking. Parking is always full in any mall, and with most malls having pay parking, that alone will keep malls thriving here.
Wonder Breed I wish they were actually designed to hang out there all day ,for example , been to a mall in the US and only had about 50 people in it compared to a mall in the Philippines that maybee had 5000 people in it and guess what? that little Mall in the US had more benches and places to sit then that huge crowded Mall in Philippines .seems like they don't want people sitting and hanging out. I even sat on the floor one time so we'll start walking and some security guard motioned me to get up. lol.

I still don't get why we don't have malls like that in the U.S. Yeah, similar to Vegas, but I heard there are more things to do there than in Vegas. Well, I haven't seen one that's uber filled with fancy, art installations. I would have to go and visit a gallery in NYC to see one. It's odd. I grew up there when I was a toddler to about 2nd or 3rd grade and malls there have been like that. The mall in my U.S. town is extremely lackluster. It doesn't even compare to the malls there.

Hope you organize a meet and greet in Manila when you get back here in the Philippines.Next time go to Sacada, Baguio, Tagaytay and lots more other islands of the Philippines.Tips.. dont come back here around June to October because its rainy seasons /typhoon months here in Luzon ..Pls. come back by November or December.December is a Christmas festive month and visit Manila . You can witness CHRISTMAS decoration galore and cheap/discount shopping treats.

Still deep down we don't think people are actually watching as it can feel like numbers on a screen when we see all of the views. just ask help from the locals next time if you happen to encounter mishaps....they can offer you extra cash or a place to stay for a night. It's not begging if you have a valid reason. you're backpackers and sometimes things go wrong and that is understandable.
I feel bad for both you for having that awful experience. If only I had known that you will be in Manila, even for a few hours and needed a place to stay until your flight, I would have offered you my place.

You should visit Baguio City in the Philippines. It's cold there all year round since it's a mountain resort city. All cards are accepted in almost all establishment. You'll be surprised to find a city that the temperature can go as low as 13degrees celsius, in a tropical country.
You should have told me. I could have hosted you so that you would have a place to stay and rest before you go to the airport.

That mall is really amazing, hoping that I will have a chance to go there. Sorry about the ATM problem in the island this happened to me even in Manila. I always have 2 bank card and check my cash every time.
