Late teens here, but many a weekend was spent procrastinating homework playing that and listening to the same 3 CDs on a loop in an old 3 disc mini hifi lol
They're admittedly going to be different from the original, but they should still look pretty decent (albeit slightly chunkier than before judging by what they've released)
Even if they do, the original PS1 version is still fairly playable, doubly so via emulator or (since it is possible to get really good looking graphics by adjusting stuff like render scale). I doubt it'll be unplayable, but the mech animations I've seen in combat have felt super flat
@@Alzorath yea, they lack weight in the demo, that's the part i want them to fix the most. but I've played the original FM3 so much i ended up memorizing all the network passwords, I'm about ready for a new experience. the thing I'm most exited about is New Game+, its something i really wanted in the original
what gives me hope that fm3 remake will be ok (even if they release it as it was on the preview) , is the fact that theres a following that will want that old nostalgic feel *cough* mods * cough...
yup, I'm sure it will be fine unless it's filled with bugs or something, since the game it's reproducing is good :) - most my issues are simply aesthetic, and that's generally the easiest thing to fix with mods (outside of maybe item stats)
I have played this game for HUNDREDS of hours. And by now bought both FM1+2 as the remake on STEAM. But the third, i hear bad things about, i hope they will get the game done properly, i REALLY would like to play it again in better graphics.
I have fairly middling hopes for the 3rd's remake unfortunately - the story will remain "fine" - and the cinematics will be good. The mech animations and models though... kind of hurt me a little bit from what I've seen (so I'm hoping they're working on re-rigging some of them - even if they keep the chunkier models they've switched to).
Fm is a childhood nostalgia for me

What is the name of the spiritual successor at 1.43? Really hard to make out the name.

@@Alzorath Cheers mate.
Not gonna lie, the only thing left that makes me excited (for better or worse) about the FM3 Remake is how the mechs and weapons gonna look like

a absolutely love FM3, here's hoping they don't mess the remake up

Not much more we can actually do.
