ahaha its rather chill/easy tbf its one pot, one cup to measure and you throw it all in after cutting your veggies and snapping your pasta noodles and boom, set a timer for 25/30 minutes, stir occasionally if you want and its done!
Kate Alexandria For someone who doesn't have a large kitchen (I barely have a proper stove, and no proper oven - combi microwave/oven), these are not simple ones. :P
OKAY TO CLEAR UP THE CAKE MIX DILEMMA: the company puts "may contain" on the box because their factory uses milk in other products so technically there is a chance that traces could be in the mix. There is no milk in the mix because if there was, it would be in the ingredients list and it would be listed next to wheat where it says CONTAINS (meaning THIS 100% CONTAINS WHEAT). It says "MAY contain" to cover their butt in case someone has an allergic reaction and tries to sue them. But if there was milk in it you can bet they would put it in the ingredients list and also in the CONTAINS list! :) glad we cleared that up!!!
Beeran Legally companies have to put all ingredients on the packet that's why even if there's a tiny amount of salt in the product it is still under ingredients. There are cases of manufacturers mixing their oils with others but it is illegal to do so and they were caught and out on trial. Also a lot of products are vegan and says "may contain" and if we don't eat them because of that than there would be nothing left to eat :)
Rainee Moore I literally JUST made this on the spot bc I remembered this video and wanted to make it and I used canned pinto beans that have been rinsed. If you're not into using canned foods (I didn't want to but it's all I had) then soak some pinto beans over night if you have some.
Brittany Parkes The more vegan meals, the better :) Perhaps you will make the switch after you've learned how to cook a bunch of tasty meals. Best wishes!
Ivette R. it's amazing what you discover when you open your mind to something. Not trying to be rude by saying that but so many people automatically turn their nose up when they hear the word "vegan" but would be surprised how many things that are actually vegan with it stating so on the packaging or whatever.
Ivette R. Haha yeah I guess it is just knowing how to can cook without meat! I was surprised how many of my recipes are actually vegan without thinking about it!
its fantastic!!! you can add anything to the basic ingredients of pasta sauce/passata, veg stock and pasta noodles, i add potato's, carrots or cauliflower, peppers and lentils and its my favourite thing!
Charlie The Greaser I would definitely recommend considering purchasing "Decolonize Your Diet" it's got a TON of old, healthy Mexican recipes from before dairy and meats were introduced to the Mexican diet by colonizers.
your food always looks amazing. your videos help me a lot. I'm a new vegan and i never know what kind of meals to make. thanks for these videos i need them :)
Liv, not sure if you'll see this, but I remember making this 8 years ago the moment I saw your video and LOVED it. Your channel helped me kickstart my own cooking journey. I'm now seeing a viral lasagna soup recipe everywhere online, and it was this exact video of yours that popped into my mind. Crazy how trends work. Hope you're thriving
Favorite vegan channel so glad i found you! Xo your videos are really going to help my transition over to veganism. I plan to go fully vegan for my new years resolution 😊👍🏾
I've just started considering going vegan and your videos are swaying me so much. I was always worried about how difficult it would be going vegan but you make everything seem so simple and quick! Also, your eyes are heavenly ❤
I made the lasagne soup today and OMFG!!! It was amazing!! I love cooking and this was so delicious. I do try to eat as lean as possible so I wouldn't have it on the regular but I will 100% make this for my non-vegan friends because it's legitimately a conversion dish! So so good. I also made your cranberry shortbread cookies and they were so yum! I added pistachios as well and loved them. I'm planning to make them again for Christmas but will add a little more sugar and bake for slightly longer (my gas oven probably works a little different). Thank you so much for these epic recipes. Love! And I forgot to mention how EASY they were to make! Plus with ingredients you're likely to already have (nothing too fancy) ❤️❤️❤️
Made the soup for dinner tonight and added more lentils, some leftover cabbage from my kushari the night before, and some a cinnamon stick while it was boiling. With some extra spices it came out incredibly delicious. Definitely adding this to the recipe book
Love the potato waffle idea! My husband and I tried shredding sweet potatoes and cooking them in our waffle iron and it took forever too cook. We will definitely have to try pre-cooking and mashing like you did. Looks so good!
I TOTALLY TRIED THE LAZY LASAGNA SOUP (but without the white ricada or whatever lol) AND IT WAS LITERALLY SOOO BOMB!!! I am sooo going to make more & freeze it so when I'm on the go, I can just pop it into the microwave & go! Instead of using lentil beans (I didn't have any on hand), I just used 1 more of the lasagna noodles & added some more veggies. Still bomb! Can't believe I tried it and can't believe I'm going to be using this recipe for life lol.
I made the lasagna soup last night, I did alter it though. Instead of mushrooms I used peas and instead of lentils I used white beans and it was delicious! Thanks for sharing Liv.
Just a mix of powdered sugar, almond milk and vegan butter! Theres a recipe in my "DIY food gift ideas" video. I posted that one two videos ago I believe :)
You always come up with the best recipes! I make those cheesecake Oreo cookies all the time and my non vegan family members and friends love them. So glad I found your channel
Your lasagna soup looks so divine, I went to the store today and got the ingredients I didn't have, and I will be making this! It's a cold day, and this is sure to be warm and satisfying. Thanks, Liv!
Totally making that Lasagna soup tomorrow for dinner! I have been planning to make a lasagna soup for a while now but have never gotten around to it! The last time it crossed my mind I just ended up making a lasagna for the week. Since it is getting colder now I will for sure be making it soup style tomorrow. I love how affordable and fairly versatile it is also!
TUTA that just means it was made in the same facility as something else that contains milk. there's a high chance that there's no milk in it. they just say that so they don't get sued.
derelict allotment Yeah, I am quite sure when something says may contain milk it could possibly have milk in it even if it was made on a machine that had used dairy products on it. It would still have dairy essence in it making it not vegan. Take it in this scenario if something spilled on the machine which the cake mix was being made presumably milk and then the process of the cake mix was still occurring and nobody wiped it off then that is what it means if a product may contain milk. Because in these factories not many people pay attention to this stuff unless it is watched and that is why it says on the box that "it may contain milk." So no one can get sued if this happens but it is a risk if you eat it even if there is a high chance of the product not containing milk. because that is just a scenario but you really don't know what takes place at the time. But then again that is your choice what you want to put in your body. Sorry for this being so dreadfully long just wanted to explain this process to you.
And if? You still don't support animal cruelity even if there is a tiny bit (!!!!!!!) of milk in there. So it makes no difference, as a vegan you can eat those products. Your body would not even notice that if you are not deadly allergic to it.
I just made this soup but I added onions and carrots and tomatoes instead of mushrooms and red peppers. I also used chickpeas instead of lentils because I had a bunch of chickpeas that I had to get rid of and it was super good!
Anything is better than nothing!! But if you're interested in learning just do a bit of research and decide if eating honey is something you are comfortable with!
that's great, i used to love honey but i now use agave syrup instead of honey and honestly it tastes pretty much the same but a bit sweeter and it's not as thick but it's delicious!!
i eat honey, but only buy the raw natural ones from local beekeepers. i think beekeepers are beautiful people as long as they respect and care for the bees. it also helps increase/keep safe bee population which is always great
You're amazing!! Im in nursing school & vegan so I don't really have too much time to cook and you're Always saving me so much time with these recipes!
Made the soup and it was BOMB 😍 I changed it up a bit though. I cooked the noodles separately to avoid them getting "gluey". I added fresh tomatoes and zucchini as my veggies, and I didn't have any vegan ricotta so I added a bit of vegan sour cream to make it creamy. So good!
I just made your recipe, it came out great! I added a little bit of crushed red pepper for kick and i highly recommend it. My only question is the lentils didn't fully cook through in the 30 minute timeframe, and i had my stove on medium. Should I have let it simmer for a longer period of time? Thanks for sharing such wonderful and simple recipe, keep them coming!
It really depends on what store I go to! I try to find the ones with the least ingredients and least amount of sodium because they can be super salty! But sometimes I make my own with tomato sauce, 1 tsp basil and 1 tsp oregano + salt and pepper to taste and it's really good as well :)
I'm making the lasagna, and the only thing that I had trouble with when shopping for the ingredients is not knowing what kind of pasta sauce or what kind of ricotta, and I also didn't know if I should simmer it on medium heat or medium low/high, etc for 25 mins, so I am eyeballing it. I'm not vegan, so I got the ricotta with whole milk and then I got the organic tomato basil pasta sauce. I also set it on medium low heat. Hopefully it's as good as yours. Aside from that, this was a super easy recipe and it smells delicious so far.
I'm making the lasagna soup right now! It's that time of the month and I need something warm, comforting and not too heavy and this seems perfect 😊 I'm leaving the lentils out and replacing the peppers with peas though.
soooo I want to ask your opinion so I want to be vegan but I can't but hear me out. The reason why I can't is because i have school lunch and I live in Japan which means I have to drink a bottle of milk every single day and we don't get to bring packed lunches do you have any idea what I can do
stars darkness I think you should start vegetarian first see if there's anyway u can avoid animal products at school & at home, then try to be vegan! I don't think school is going to restrict u being a vegan right?
u dont have to drink a bottle of milk. drink water. Im lactose intolerant and im sure some people in japan are too they cant be forced to drink milk and neither can u
Your lasagna soup is my favorite thing to make! Super easy and cheap. It's the first thing I think about bringing when I have to make food for a potluck! With the option of meat on the side for my non-vegan friends and family.
I made the lasagna soup added courgettes in too. One problem I had was that the lasagna strips were sticking together so I had to keep stirring. Also added in teaspoon of chilli flakes. Delicious and easy recipe ta very much.
Just made the mug cake! It definitely works!! I used white cake mix instead and I put it in for 1 min and 20 seconds exactly ... and I'm not even a vegan but this was the best ! Thanks for sharing!!!
Okay guys, thanks to you I will be looking for potato waffles when I'm doing my exchange semester this winter in the UK. Any brands you especially recommend?
My wife and I made the lasagna soup and loved it. There were a bit much lasagna noodles for our liking so we will leave some out the next time but otherwise we loved it. It was very satisfying.
I am brand new to your channel found you thru Katherine Kara's listening to her wonderful book reads and journals I am just learning the vegan food and thank you for not being so overwhelming with so many different ingredients i am going to make that lasagna soup for tomorrow night. Blessings, Love and Peace
Lasagne soup! Genius lol I made some today and it's delicious. My boyfriend's favorite food is lasagne and this is enough to fill the craving but way less time consuming. Love it.
Christy Sanchez mmm almond milk sounds great. And I'm sure water is fine it's not like oil and eggs give other cakes much flavor anyway. The mixture has all the flavor
wow! you are honestly kind of a genius. that lasagna soup looks incredible. and who would ever think to put leftover mashed potatoes in the waffle iron? so smart!!! definitely going to try both of these soon
Would you be able to make a meal plan for the week with 3 or 4 dishes that we're all made of close to the same nereid ends to minimize cost? I love your channel!
Boiled!!!! Of course the potatoes need to be boiled. Thank you, woman! I wasted an hour trying to bake potatoes with a waffle iron, because i didn't want to wash dishes... You live and learn.
All the recipes were great but the lasagna soup is genius.
Was just coming to comment as I finished the last bite of my lasagne soup. It was AMAZING and I love the idea. I made mine in a crock pot.
ooooh using a crock pot is so smart, I'm gonna do that
Diana Lopez on what temp and how long did you cook it in the crockpot? Xx
Hey guys, sorry for delay. I kept temp low for 4 hours. It serves 3-4 if I recall.
can someone translate the ingredients in spanish? :(
Did anyone else love how her eyes were the color of her shirt
meee
Alana Yeah I saw that soon as the video started 😍 Gorgeous color
Alana Omg, yess! Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous! 😍😍
yes!!! that was my first thought. totally beautiful!
Alana yeah it looks realy beautiful
Me personally, I think that lasagna soup is one of the most genius things I've ever seen. I'm going to make it right now!
Georgia Elle how was the vegetable stock made?
Hi Ckay I just used a store bought liquid veggie stock. Was feeling very lazy that day. Lol!!!
Georgia Elle haha thanks xx
maybe it's just me but I have a whole new definition of lazy, these would be like my productive cooking nights lol
My first thought when I saw how to make the lasagna soup.
ahaha its rather chill/easy tbf
its one pot, one cup to measure and you throw it all in after cutting your veggies and snapping your pasta noodles and boom, set a timer for 25/30 minutes, stir occasionally if you want and its done!
Kate Alexandria For someone who doesn't have a large kitchen (I barely have a proper stove, and no proper oven - combi microwave/oven), these are not simple ones. :P
but you a stove and a microwave/oven so you can still do them? if you didn't have any then it'd be hard i agree lmao
Kate Alexandria I can, yes. But that doesn't equal them being simple and chill :)
But I just might try them out anyways.
Ivette R. Choose vegan! It's best for everyone and everything and will improve your life sooo much. 6 months in, never going back.
Ivette R. it's amazing what you discover when you open your mind to something. Not trying to be rude by saying that but so many people automatically turn their nose up when they hear the word "vegan" but would be surprised how many things that are actually vegan with it stating so on the packaging or whatever.
the image of one kale leaf and one celery stick is really really wrong lmao. I binge all the time...
i wouldnt be vegan if we wouldnt eat like that lol

My favorite part is , smash everything together and it magically turns into Lasagna lol
Rainy Neon did you try it? was it good?
does it work with other stock? because i do not have vege stocks😩
Do you know any vegan Mexican recipes?
Thanks!
Charlie The Greaser I would definitely recommend considering purchasing "Decolonize Your Diet" it's got a TON of old, healthy Mexican recipes from before dairy and meats were introduced to the Mexican diet by colonizers.
Thank You Kristi!
Charlie The Greaser I'm not sure if this is actually Mexican but I love Mexican bowls! Like (brown) rice with avo, salsa, beans, and greens!

I think it could be a fun idea

Liv's Healthy Life thank you, I'm glad you like it :)
Love the potato waffle idea! My husband and I tried shredding sweet potatoes and cooking them in our waffle iron and it took forever too cook. We will definitely have to try pre-cooking and mashing like you did. Looks so good!

The last time it crossed my mind I just ended up making a lasagna for the week. Since it is getting colder now I will for sure be making it soup style tomorrow. I love how affordable and fairly versatile it is also!
I bought a wafflemaker on black friday for the sole purpose of waffling something. This is it!
I'm not vegan but you're one of the few youtubers whose vegan recipes are actually appealing to me. Good way to eat healthier.
On the box, it says: May contain milk. At 2:25-2:27
TUTA that just means it was made in the same facility as something else that contains milk. there's a high chance that there's no milk in it. they just say that so they don't get sued.

I'm thinking about going vegan but I don't know if I should continue to eat honey
Well it's not vegan so, you wouldn't be vegan if you ate it lol:) watch new movie and look up the honey industry. Horrible

These look great! It's also an easy way to ease people into eating more meat free meals.
I have tested potato hashbrowns ! with coconut milk, it is delicious !
thanks for the recipe !
That lasagna soup looks so good! Thank you for the awesome recipes!! :)
I just made your recipe, it came out great! I added a little bit of crushed red pepper for kick and i highly recommend it. My only question is the lentils didn't fully cook through in the 30 minute timeframe, and i had my stove on medium. Should I have let it simmer for a longer period of time? Thanks for sharing such wonderful and simple recipe, keep them coming!
loved the intro, short and sweet!
your hair color and the color of your sweater makes your eyes pop so much!! they look GORGEOUS!
What kind of pasta sauce do you tend to use? That lasagna soup looks amazing! 😍
It really depends on what store I go to! I try to find the ones with the least ingredients and least amount of sodium because they can be super salty! But sometimes I make my own with tomato sauce, 1 tsp basil and 1 tsp oregano + salt and pepper to taste and it's really good as well :)

Aside from that, this was a super easy recipe and it smells delicious so far.
Where do you get all these recipes?
I make them up :) Throw stuff together and pray that it works or I veganize old family recipes :)!
Oh cool you have an amazing imagination!
+Liv's Healthy Life For how long you been vegan?????
I'm making the lasagna soup right now! It's that time of the month and I need something warm, comforting and not too heavy and this seems perfect 😊 I'm leaving the lentils out and replacing the peppers with peas though.
soooo I want to ask your opinion so I want to be vegan but I can't but hear me out. The reason why I can't is because i have school lunch and I live in Japan which means I have to drink a bottle of milk every single day and we don't get to bring packed lunches do you have any idea what I can do

There must be an alternative for people with allergies, so ask whoever is in charge of lunches about getting that instead
u dont have to drink a bottle of milk. drink water. Im lactose intolerant and im sure some people in japan are too they cant be forced to drink milk and neither can u
Tell whoever gives you lunch that milk that you're lactose intolerant and then you can just drink water or juice or something.
stars darkness tell them ur allergic & drink water
Your lasagna soup is my favorite thing to make! Super easy and cheap. It's the first thing I think about bringing when I have to make food for a potluck! With the option of meat on the side for my non-vegan friends and family.
that soup is life 🙌🏽😍😋
How do you even come up with this stuff !!! Amaaaazing, really a creative talent
That sweater really makes your eyes pop😍😍
I made the lasagna soup added courgettes in too. One problem I had was that the lasagna strips were sticking together so I had to keep stirring. Also added in teaspoon of chilli flakes. Delicious and easy recipe ta very much.
Your eyes and sweater omg!

Tracy in the UK you can buy frozen potato waffles but they're more of a lattice but they're sooooo good 🙏🙏🙏
Tracy it's a thing lol
Yeah in the UK when you say waffles most people will think potato waffles before they think sweet waffles
Okay guys, thanks to you I will be looking for potato waffles when I'm doing my exchange semester this winter in the UK. Any brands you especially recommend?
the potato one is brillant! I would have never thought to use the waffle iron!
Thank you for your great ideas! :)
My wife and I made the lasagna soup and loved it. There were a bit much lasagna noodles for our liking so we will leave some out the next time but otherwise we loved it. It was very satisfying.
Mayby Christmas snacks or something like that? 🎅
I am brand new to your channel found you thru Katherine Kara's listening to her wonderful book reads and journals I am just learning the vegan food and thank you for not being so overwhelming with so many different ingredients i am going to make that lasagna soup for tomorrow night. Blessings, Love and Peace
holly crap, that soup... I'm making it tonight
I've only been vegetarian for 4 days and I already feel so great!! Best decision of my life!!
That soup looks ... souper 😊
Lasagne soup! Genius lol I made some today and it's delicious. My boyfriend's favorite food is lasagne and this is enough to fill the craving but way less time consuming. Love it.
wooow your eyes match your sweater! :D
Evis haha the sweater matched her eyes
Your vegan recipe videos are my favorite on You Tube!
i don't even know what I would do without your videos, they make me so fcking happy 💗 thank you!
Does that cake mix and water even taste good? I might do almond milk instead
Christy Sanchez mmm almond milk sounds great. And I'm sure water is fine it's not like oil and eggs give other cakes much flavor anyway. The mixture has all the flavor
i just made the lasagna soup and ITS SO FUCKING GOOD PLEASE MAKE IT
I KNOW RIGHT!
Liv's Healthy Life making this tonight! thanks bunches for the idea
wow! you are honestly kind of a genius. that lasagna soup looks incredible. and who would ever think to put leftover mashed potatoes in the waffle iron? so smart!!! definitely going to try both of these soon
Woah your eyes are amazing Gurl 😻
Would you be able to make a meal plan for the week with 3 or 4 dishes that we're all made of close to the same nereid ends to minimize cost? I love your channel!
the coconut bacon would be halal i guess. i can eat that
Kashaf Fatima it's vegan sweetheart, so it's halal
I've made the lasagne soup so many times now and I LOVE it!! Super easy and so yummy. Thanks for these easy to follow videos :)
Who else liked before the video even started?
Boiled!!!! Of course the potatoes need to be boiled. Thank you, woman! I wasted an hour trying to bake potatoes with a waffle iron, because i didn't want to wash dishes... You live and learn.
This looked delicious BUT pasta cooked for 30 minutes sounds like a disaster. The lentils should be added first and then later on the pasta.
Sofia Wigren yeah I was thinking the same thing.. first lentils then pasta for like 10 min
lasagna noodles are very thick
when you bake them in actual lasagna, they take about 30-45 minutes
Just added to my favorites. Trying all 3 recipes.
OH MY GOD YOUR EYES☹💚
