PLEASE BE NICE TO EACH OTHER! To anyone who is not vegan but is coming here for recipes or information: you are welcome here just as much as anyone else! Don't let anyone make you feel bad or lesser because you aren't vegan or "vegan enough". And to everyone who is so patient and polite and helpful with their comments and responses: THANK YOU. I love you all
Liv's Healthy Life I just found your channel and wow I love your videos. I'm not a vegan, but I've slowly been gravitating more and more toward vegan meals and your videos help a ton, the attitude you have toward people who aren't vegan make you an even nicer person who probably will attract more people toward veganism. You are a absolutely lovely person :)
Liv's Healthy Life haha so weird.. people obviously haven't looked up the science behind a microwave and how sometimes it benefits the nutrients in food more to use a microwave rather than an oven!
Liv, I just want to sincerely thank you. Though my mom believes every girl should learn to cook a few meals, I just can't prepare a dish without messing up somehow. My girlfriend is a vegan and she is always making these amazing foods and sharing them with me. I wanted to give something back to her so I followed your videos and packed her a lunch with the stuffed sweet potato, pub-styled burger, and one of the smoothies you made. She was so surprised that she started to cry because it's well known that I can't cook for the death of me. She was so impressed and I owe it to you for the ideas. Your recipes are so easy, simple, and delicious. I have been cooking for myself and for my girlfriend now. It's so nice to be able to present my gf with these beautiful dishes. Thanks so so so much and have a nice day!
This is so sweet!! Oh my gosh you are amazing for being so persistent! It is so nice of you to make all that for her and it sounds like she really appreciated it
I always laugh when ppl mention they aren't vegan! Ofcourse vegan stuff looks good to your the literal only difference is that animals don't suffer in the making :)
About the curry noodles : I've made them dozen times since the day I have seen the video for the first time (I think a few weeks after you made it). Sometimes it just pleasantly filled my hunger. Sometimes, saved the whole day, after loads of ****, laying in couch in Christmas pyjamas. It saved a peculiar night : I was so cold in bed instead of going out like I planned to ; so I made these noodles. Perfectly. I felt so much better, I went out, met new people, made sweet new memories. One of these people was the most wonderful and loving men I ever knew, and I also still have a very close friend too. Life splitted the group, but I have so many great memories with all of them. So THANK YOU GIRL for everything you made
Your eyes stand out so much with this colour hair, they're beautiful! Thanks for the awesome recipe ideas too, I especially like the look of the last one! Next lazy night that's what I'll be trying out :)
I went Vegan and lasted four months, best i ever felt in my life! Unfortunately i failed and i didn't go back till about three weeks ago now and i am loving it! Just TOO many options to not be vegan. Love it, thanks for your video :)
Bless you for putting all the ingredients and measurements in the description. I had to watch one of your videos about 5 times over once because there wasn't a recipe in the description. Love your recipes, love your channel.
Honestly the best vegan channel out there. Hard to find quick and easy recipes, you've helped me make the switch from vegetarian to vegan! Love love love!
Thank you for making your videos ! They have really help me out I'm still trying out the vegan lifestyle and your videos make it so much easier . P.S I love your hair and you ,the dark hair really suits you .❤️🤗
i just want to say that i like your channel and your recipes. theyre simple and really easy to make and dont require complicated ingredients. keep making them!!! 💕
woah these recipes look amazing. I've been going back and forth between wanting to be vegan, since I've been pescetarian for 10 years...and this is making me wanna convert.
Impressive! Thank you so much for the great videos and minimal ingredients! I've just made the transition almost 10 days ago and am glad I did. I like your open and welcoming guidance. I'll go take a look at what you have in your newer videos! Way to go!
I really enjoy your quick simple recipes. This is great for my Sister as well who was just diagnosed with MS and has had to eliminate many things from her diet. These recipes are great for her :) Thanks!
TheSuperSlothYT definitely!! I did that! I started peskitarian, then vegetarian and cutting eggs&honey at the same time, and lastly dairy! Do it at your own pace dont force it!! Just start cutting out things first! Definitely start with the easy part. I didnt like eggs and honey so decided to cut it out before dairy! Cut out what you dont love first!!
Aha! I knew you were Canadian! Happy to see more good vegan UA-cam's. Lauren Toyota is the only one I follow so far and now you! Where in Canada are you from?
Saabria Greene I've cooked tons of tofu dishes and they never taste bland! I never marinate over night either :) just cook them with the sauce the longest and then I add in everything else and they're amazing
I usually use firm or extra firm tofu because it holds up the best. It helps if you press some of the water out first (using a tea towel and something to rest on top, like a heavy skillet, or just do it gently by hand) so that it can absorb more marinade, but that's not necessary. Cube then bake at around 375-400*, depending on the type you use, for about a half hour or so, flipping once. You're looking for a bit of color on it, but be careful you don't burn it, especially if you are using a sugary marinade. Parchment paper helps with sticking. I don't like to use oil, but sometimes misting tofu that only has herbs and spices on it (no marinade) with a little cooking spray (I prefer to use a mister that you add oil to yourself to avoid weird chemicals), can add a nice golden crisp to it. Bake it long enough and you can have "tofu fries".
This is my everyday version of cooking. On actual lazy days I won't cook at all lol. Question, though? Do the cookies not turn golden? Do you just have to check them with a toothpick then?
they don't turn golden nope! They are supposed to be a pretty soft cookie, to mimic the creaminess of cheesecake (kind of.. if that makes sense) but you can just check with a toothpick if you want!
Where do you usually buy your vegan dairy substitutes? I also live in Canada and I find it difficult to find things like vegan butter and vegan cream cheese.
Em.. I don't know if you guys have this store.. (I was in Maine, not Canada..) But Hannaford has a lot of good ones. I recall seeing vegan butter, and vegan cream cheese.. (Which I haven't seen in Trader Jo's) But um.. Yeah, sorry if this didn't help.
I really want to go vegan but my biggest problem will be cheese because I put that on everything and I really don't like dairy free cheese. Other than that, I can give up everything
That's how I was seriously!! I just learned to live without it. It's SOOOOOOOOOfattening and na for your health and bones. It's addicting too because there is a hormone that is in it meant to make the baby cows want the milk no matter what sothey grow strong and big. I struggled with making good vegan pizza but honestly the best thing about going vegan is finding all the new stuff you like! I had to try a lot of things to get my cravings to go away. I make a Parmesan cheese imitation and sprinkle it on my pizza before cooking and it's to die for! Also good in pasta and anything else! Just blend cooked and salted cashews, with garlic & onion power to taste! And if you have, nutritional yeast! It's amazing.
Lex Went Vegan Exactly , I was a cheese monster, every day I was eating cheese as a vegetarian ... it's not like any animals get killed ... cows need to be milked it's natural ... How wrong was I, it felt like a shot in the stomach and I had a sickening bitter taste in my mouth after, I learned the truth ... 3 years a vegan and vegetarian for 20 years and I'm still ashamed, My ignorance caused animals to suffer needlessly.
Devika Agashe there are vegan options in every country. Beans, rice, potatoes, bananas, apples, a vast variety of grains and vegetables and fruits, etc. You don't need the vegan meat and cheese and sausages and milk. Those usually aren't very healthy either. Whole plant foods (like the ones I first mentioned) are among the cheapest and healthiest foods on the planet and they are available everywhere.
I am speaking about the milk. The soy milk, almond milk, etc. Are expensive.and I go to school so I don't have the ingredients, equipment and time to make milk.
Devika Agashe The whole point of veganism is that milk isn't essential. You're on the wrong channel if you want recipes that don't require specialty products. I'm assuming you're Indian, it's not difficult being vegan in India, easier than some other countries actually. Change your palate to include foods that don't require dairy rather than trying to replace the dairy, because I'll tell you straight up that almond milk and soy milk isn't going to be a perfect substitute for milk. Cornflakes and stuff maybe, but cooking with them is hit or miss.
Thank you so much for your regular video uploads! I tried some of your recepies and they were all amazing. They looked and tasted great. Being vegan gets so much easier because of you! 💕
I am not vegan because I love fish, pork and cheese, but I always loved vegan recipes and I prefer vegan dishes most of the time because I love veggies too and it's a healthier solution.Love your videos,I am going to try a lot of your dishes.Kisses from Greece.

Maddi Gibson look up Gemma Stafford mug meals, they're amazing and she has a ton! It's the cutest thing.
i agree my house doesn't have a working oven unless you count toaster oven...
I love that idea! I can definitely do that :) although whenever I use a microwave in a video people get mad at me hahaha.....
Liv's Healthy Life haha so weird.. people obviously haven't looked up the science behind a microwave and how sometimes it benefits the nutrients in food more to use a microwave rather than an oven!

is it ok to start vegataterean and then slowly start vegan
TheSuperSlothYT definitely!! I did that! I started peskitarian, then vegetarian and cutting eggs&honey at the same time, and lastly dairy! Do it at your own pace dont force it!! Just start cutting out things first! Definitely start with the easy part. I didnt like eggs and honey so decided to cut it out before dairy! Cut out what you dont love first!!

TheSuperSlothYT Of course! It's better to slowly cut animal products from your diet.
Love your videos Liv! I'm not vegan but i'm into learning creative & healthier ways to make food!! Thank you once more & greetings from Panama ♥
Wow! Your eyes are so pretty :)
Love your recipes! I use them several times a week. Please keep adding new videos :)
Aha! I knew you were Canadian! Happy to see more good vegan UA-cam's. Lauren Toyota is the only one I follow so far and now you! Where in Canada are you from?
nova scotia :)
The curry recipe with the rice noodles were amazing. First week going vegan and I am absolutely in LOVE with this recipe. Thank you 😚
9292881726 call if you questions
lol the stir fry recipe is basically what i eat everyday
PAPAYA TRULY Same, I used to have that literally everyday 😂
I've eaten it every day for a week hahaha I feel you
I love this video! Definitely going to make the cookies and the rice noodle recipe x
You have to marinate tofu overnight. If you just put sauce on tofu it tastes bland on the inside, with a nice sauce on it.
Saabria Greene I've cooked tons of tofu dishes and they never taste bland! I never marinate over night either :) just cook them with the sauce the longest and then I add in everything else and they're amazing
You can also, marinate, bake, then add to your recipe for an even more intense flavor. ^_^
I never thought of that, what sort do you use?
I usually use firm or extra firm tofu because it holds up the best. It helps if you press some of the water out first (using a tea towel and something to rest on top, like a heavy skillet, or just do it gently by hand) so that it can absorb more marinade, but that's not necessary. thank you!
your videos always make me hungry! lol. love them so much and can't wait to try them.
This is my everyday version of cooking. On actual lazy days I won't cook at all lol.
Question, though? Do the cookies not turn golden? Do you just have to check them with a toothpick then?
they don't turn golden nope! They are supposed to be a pretty soft cookie, to mimic the creaminess of cheesecake (kind of.. if that makes sense) but you can just check with a toothpick if you want!
your eyes and your hair are perfect together, I love your intro, you pillow at the back is fabulous and your recepies are yum
Where do you usually buy your vegan dairy substitutes? I also live in Canada and I find it difficult to find things like vegan butter and vegan cream cheese.
I live in Nova Scotia! I buy them at superstore or sobeys :)
Liv's Healthy Life Thanks :)
MarbleGray Unfortunately I've never heard / seen that particular store in Canada. Thanks anyway for the help.
Avery Hudson Ah, I apologize. Well then my suggestion is to look in a local grocery store.. I'm afraid I am not very helpful.
I'm aware I am late to the game here, and you've probably heard it a million times before, but oooh my god, your eyes!! They're amazing!
I really want to go vegan but my biggest problem will be cheese because I put that on everything and I really don't like dairy free cheese. Other than that, I can give up everything
Crystal Berg that's totally how I was! But once I realized why I was going vegan, cheese is no big deal anymore! There are so many alternatives!(:
Well then do that, atleast for now! Remember doing something even if it's small is better than doing nothing :)
The dairy industry is horrifically cruel ... and you do realise blood and pus goes in the milk and cheese ... and no I'm not joking
3 years a vegan and vegetarian for 20 years and I'm still ashamed, My ignorance caused animals to suffer needlessly.
this video is so chill like i could just watch this forever
Your eyes are so pretty omg they remind me of earth
how have i not found your channel! i love these! i think you have the best explanation for both you easy vegan recipes ! i can't wait to try them :)
I want to go vegan.but in my country there aren't a lot of vegan options. and the ones that are available are expensive.pls help
Agreed!
I am speaking about the milk. The soy milk, almond milk, etc. Are expensive.and I go to school so I don't have the ingredients, equipment and time to make milk.
And milk is essential in our household
Can I take off the maple syrup?

i respect that hahaha
I really need to try the last recipe. Thanks for making easy vegan recipes for different tastes! 💜💙💚💛❤️
as a vegan i honestly thought you'd say the ultimate lazy meal is raw fruits and veggies, bc isnt it?
Kristiana Chancy not every vegan wants to be raw. I sure don't.
bpourr lol you dont have to be "raw" to eat a raw meal. if you're never eating raw then i feel bad for your body.
Lol you're a nice vegan aren't ya?
bpourr just being honest to a random person who thought theyd share their odd comment
I guess so haha
You channel has grown so much n such little time!!! You deserve it, your videos are always great!! Love your recipes (I've done many of them). Delicious!
The sauce in the start, what does it taste?
Stark probably like Spicy tangy sweet
Stark I made a similar one some days ago, taste kind of like barbecue
Like something straight out of a chinese take-out,it tastes amazing!
looks delicious!! Yup making my grocery list for tonight! Quick & easy just what I needed!
no wonder there's so much maple syrup in your recipes..you're canadian...
thank you for these recipes! I couldn't help think of Mommy Tang when you put the sesame seeds on the stir fry..."protein protein, protein!" :D
maple syrup in curry? ...? 😐
the restaurant i work at adds a bit of sugar to our curry! she's probably just using a less refined replacement
emily greenberg maple syrup is refined? Fml
Veniziano Vargas sugar is refined, the person said she's using a LESS refined replacement to the sugar
kawaiikai00 canadians 😂
it's not a canadian thing, it's a vegan thing lol sugar isn't vegan because it's bleached with animal bone char
I love your videos soooo much. I'm vegan and you make the easiest recipes ever that look so good!! I've tried some of your recipes already and they were amazing!!
my rice takes like 1 and a half hour to cook hahahaha
theveganali how??
theveganali same...i can cook everything but rice lol
Oh I had problems with rice cooking too. It was always too wet or too dry so I invested in a rice cooker... absolute life saver :3
Oh no I meant like it cooks perfectly fine I own a rice cooker hahaha but it just takes pretty long I cook brown rice!
brown rice definitely takes longer! I do a mix of brown and jasmine and it works pretty well and doesn't take as long:)
Thanks for making these videos Liv! I've been vegetarian for about a year now and I'm trying to find new ways to make vegetarian food that my non-vegetarian family will enjoy too. I will definitely try these recipes out!😄
