To be honest, I’m not impressed by either. 30 hours? You can get 300 hours or 3000 easily out of Fallout 4.
Novad selir not really, that game is a MULTIPLAYER service game. It should not be treated as a mainline game, more of a shitty spin-off kind of like Andromeda.

@@effigytormented Nope, Firefly didn't have an alien cat-girl. Seriously, I didn't know about that series, but other than being an space-opera/western with a "ragtag" crew and a ship doing various jobs, it's obviously COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (except for another few things I guess :) ).

Parvati is a joy, although I really like Ellie too, and Max's quest has a pretty rewarding conclusion. Heck, I kept all of them alive because I'm a sucker for sidequests.
My biggest complaint about the game is that there are no romance options for the player. The game is remarkably sexless for an M rating.
@@fighteer1 honestly i'm okay with that. These days, romance options just feel like the developer is checking a box anyway.

it is pretty good, it just isn't that original
I absolutely love it, but nobody can deny it's basically a new Fallout game. It just emphasizes the futuristic aspect of retro-futuristic and alt-f4's the post-apocalyptic part.
I'm glad I got it throu xbox game pass instead of paying full price for it. I'll just leave it at that.
It was horribly bad. Hollow with quests that exists in all the other games of the genre. combat the suck as. Also i died only once... i fell into a hole
I needs DLC badly, but since Microsoft bought Obsidian to make more DLC & another Fantasy-esque game straight after it's opening weekend, that's a good bet The Outer Worlds is going to have GotY 2019 (Tied with Sekrio & that Russian Top-down RPG) & unofficial 2020, 21, & 22. Time will tell.
We might be looking at the new RPG-standard Game.
If Modders ever get into it... it would be incredible what they could improve on from working on Alpha Fallout 4 & Skyrim.
I was just amazed by how your companions were so interactive. They have opinions on many of your choices and you have to justify your actions occasionally. Also they interact with one another. Completing the same mission with a different set companions has totally different dialogue between them. I loved that aspect.
My favorite thing was bringing Felix and vicar max to monolith, vicar and his full on argument with the other dude that followed a different religion. Followed by Felix being upset after finding out the nice family are all cannibals

Out of every quest in the entire game and its expansions, I was most invested in Parvati's. The survival of Halcyon can wait, my engineer has a crush.

I actually was really interested in the world of this game, particularly in how we find later that nobody is communicating with earth anymore and something probably happened to it
Also the way companions worked was kinda an innovation for the fallout franchise

Fallout + Firefly - Bethesda = a bloody good game. I love that so much of this game feels like an overt troll towards Bethesda. (Also, please do Honest Trailers for Age of Empires and the Heroes of Might and Magic games.)

I have gotten most of the jingles stuck in my head now which feels weirdly ironic. They did such a good job of creating fictional corporation that they have more memorable advertisement than real corporations.

It was all over the game, I loved it. There's even a random event where a bunch of cows appear in your cargo hold until you exit and re-enter the ship
As soon as I realized that Parvati is going to be my ship mechanic, I was like AWWWW KALYE! ☺️
After I saw the cows I immediately freaked out...
The energy ammunition is literally 'Firefly' ammo. They aren't hiding their love for the series at all, lots of easter eggs abound. And I am totally all right with this.

Spot on! That's EXACTLY what I hate the most about Fallout 76. Bethesda has managed to turn a franchise that used to mock and criticize the excesses of capitalism into the very same thing. They've practically become Vault-Tec, ripping off people with shoddy and unfinished products and subjecting them to weird experiments. And Fallout has become a mockery of itself.
But the most depressing thing is that they apparently don't even understand what they've done and become. Or they just don't care. And neither does their new fanbase. It's just sad.

@@DEMANATI well it's close but they do make changes, like a different way to cycle through weapons, and slowing down time while having to manually aim for each limb with each limb having its own unique disable effect, rather then just auto aiming at a limb when time is slow and crippling the enemy
