Pretty spot on except you forgot to mention the hours and hours it takes for you to run travel around the map collecting the same 3 machine parts to upgrade all the gear. Love the story and aesthetics, though!
Aloy not shutting the hell up on puzzle solutions is one of my biggest complaints about the game. This really needed a button dedicated to give a hint if they wanted to do this.
Some games have a button that allow players to choose whether or not they want to hear hints, the Tomb Raider trilogy is an example of this, same with Jedi Fallen Order. But this game wants to make sure you never get lost on ANYTHING.
The worst part being that she seems to ignore some of the weirder things needed, and instead keeps harping on about the obvious stuff. Often as you're doing it. Like: I know that crate has to go over there, that's why I've been lugging it over there for the past 20 seconds!

One feature Guerrilla should have added is a turn off Aloy dialogue mode even though she helps at times when I miss something or can't quite figure out what to do but I feel it's there for lore purposes as Aloy is a genius and a mark of a genius is talking to yourself or consulting yourself however games have never really portray that properly and I don't mind Aloy talking as I loathed the times when Characters you played hardly say a damn weird it's so immersion breaking when you play for hours and not hear them say anything in a game like elden ring it makes sense since your character is a mute and in GTA 3 but in the witcher 3 gerald keeps saying the wind is howling or something usually multiple times but NOBODY minds because it's just a game. The worst part of HFW for me is the hub after every main mission turns into 30 minutes of just pure exposition dialogue from 7 odd different characters, who I love individually and want the information from...just not in huge chunks after every main mission that literally tells you everything about the story.
I mean, how do you beat the Project Zero Dawn cutscene in the first game? I cried a little at the end of the game. I don't really know how you could come back and beat that benchmark
@@Johnston212 honesty you can that ending had me curled up in my bed crying
@@quardine337 you mean the hzd?
I think it has WAY more wonder than the first.
I think this issue may be rooted more in you, not so much the game.
Me too man. I loved the gameplay and new robots but felt underwhelmed with the story like there was no sense of wonder or expectations of a big reveal not to mention we never got to see ted faro...

More like an experience we've had with almost every open world game. It's boring af.
@@GamerKillance fr it’s very pretty but who cares? This game has been made a million times
Pretty imagery and giant robot dinosaurs. That's it. The game itself is the same copy-pasted formula from the past 15 years.

Wow, I did NOT expect a "We're back: a dinosaur story" reference
Dr. screw eyes approves.
For sure. Solutions and hints shouldn't be automated, triggering the second you step into a room with a puzzle in it.
That'll be 2 picarats please!
@@badconnection4383 That's why i love the Tarnished, he is mute

Well, *actually*, Aloy's 12-year training montage at the beginning of the first game showed her practicing swimming.
Can't wait for Horizon 3... because odds are Grand Theft Auto 6 will release the day after it.
I believe it will be called Horizon Evil 3 Nemesis.
I just starting playing this game for a second time around, after spending 80 hours completing the first run of the game. It is so massive and full of content, was a blast.

I love all the compliments this game got, it totally deserves it...
Same here guys, I’m currently playing through it and it’s an absolutely beautiful game. I think as time goes on, it’s popularity will grow and it will always stay steadfast as “One of the Greats” we’ll tell our kids about.
Idk, although horizon is an amazing game, i don’t think it’s at the top, it doesn’t innovate on anything new per say, it doesn’t have the charm of a game that just blows you away with its atmosphere and setting like BOW,skyrim, all Fromsoft games, rdr1 and so on, HFW just exists and that’s it
@@hereticslayer7612 correct, I find there's nothing new that they offer, everything is repetitive and side quest is boring

Not really the HUD is more dynamic as it shows when needed or just turn it off completely if you like
@@triton5336 It's still loaded. Also, I'm not sure if these games are made to be played with the HUD off. At the least you probably need to see your health.
@@AdonanS Horizon works with it fine but the quest log is vital since you won't know where the place is unless you have icons active on the map or what to do but Aloy might hint at it. oh in Horizon you can just look at the map to get a sense of direction then go towards where you want to go. The icons on the map are also removable and health too but each set of icons are seperate and can be singled out. Sorry for going off topic.
The romance option was missing here with the hero worship that ppl had for aloy like how Alex/Kassandra was in AC , missed opportunity there 😔.
(Adding note if anyone missed i was being sarcastic here)
Aloy being romance averse seems to be a character trait. She got hit on a lot in Zero Dawn, and often replied in disgust.
I mean they do hint at it a couple times, especially with Avad at the start, but she just has way too much to do in a very limited time frame and romance just isn’t one of her concerns at this point, she has to stay focused, as she states on multiple occasions
She's trying to save the world because only she can. Plus she spent 19 years raised in the wilderness with little socialization. It makes sense
@@thelastbrickbender2139 With Avad and Varl, Aloy makes it clear that she likes them, just not in a romantic way. Given that Elizabet was gay, it's likely that Aloy is as well.
Aloy's an aroace icon
I fully expected them to mention Varl constantly trying to make the game a co-op for the first act. It felt like they should have just put it in the game imo.
I'm half expecting a co-op mode in Horizon 3 with playable Aloy and Beta.
I literally had to pause and Google if there was co-op because it's like wtf Varl this is my video game stop tagging along 😛
I absolutely lost it at Mass Effect cosplay. One of the funniest HGT in a while
1:43 You do know there are rivers & lakes in the first game, right? Aloy could swim in that game.

When I fist played this game and saw Tilda, I immediately pictured the Honest Trailer calling her “Tilda Swin-Tron” but “Infinity Trinity” got me 🤣😂🤣
Poor Horizon, First BotW now Elden Ring. I love Horizon, so glad the PS4 version was actually good since Sony does not want people to buy a PS5.
The Jeff Bezos joke was spot on.
GTA6 or Witcher 4 will be right after Horizon 3probably
This one made me laugh out loud more than 5 times and then chuckle slightly at least 7.
Looking forward to putting this game on easy mode and then blowing through it to enjoy the story and environments, just like I did with Horizon: Zero Dawn.
But not until after I finish Elden Ring.
The funniest part is that all the sentient AI have the entire world with like 6 continents to travel to and they all decided to stay in one general area to be picked up when the story needs.
To be fair HEPHAESTOS is set in the US because that's where project Zero Dawn was finished
@@kalamies. The point is after the AIs detached from GAIA, they could have gone to any of the Zero Dawn facilities all over the world but all conveniently chose to stay in one general area.
Technically you don’t know where ELEUTHIA and ARTEMIS were when the Zeniths found them, but your point is not wrong. I did laugh when GAIA says “I’ve found 3 in close proximity” or something to that effect, it was a very convenient plot device.
I’m sure Horizon 3 will send you to different continents in rallying the troops to face off against Nemesis as it corrupts HEPHAESTUS to make EVEN BIGGER ROBOTS or something like that.
Aloy's face at 2:10 is priceless. Major flex on the PS5's beautiful graphics.

Lmao, I laughed so hard when he dropped his voice and said "Droopy Dog" outta nowhere
Do the Kirby series now that The Forgotten Land is out!
My experience of the battle system was completely different. I didn't even try matching elements (unless it was blatantly obvious what they would be weak against, like fireclaws etc, or when another character told me what to use), I just used arrows and exploding spears all the time. And I don't think I even once used the valor surges (couldn't be bothered to spend time figuring out which ones were useful in which situation), so these elements aren't vital to the game at all. Just keep a distance and shoot the yellow shiny parts until they're dead.
This game is awesome, a masterpiece, but have been treated so unfairly. Thank you for giving it a bit of the love it deserves!

So, my brother and I were playing Destiny 2 Witch Queen campaign, and he had it on Legend, which lead to hours of repetitive combat, with all enemies being hard to kill, even with my strongest of weapons. We got a few missions done, so a few days later when I was in charge, I dropped the difficulty to normal, and guess what? We had fun. Granted, the mission felt too easy, but we had a good time, instead of being pissed for hours.
