Excellent conversion! One addition I have recently seen in other conversions is the use of an extending tap on the sink so that it can be pulled outside and used to shower with.

      @microcampersukvanlife4810  3 роки тому +13

Shower is a good idea but a decent shower needs decent pressure which generally camper sink pumps do not provide, you would also need a decent size water tank unless you want a 60 second shower

@@microcampersukvanlife4810 ciao.

Love the combination sink and stove unit! It is a brilliant feature visually and also in terms of cleaning. I am surprised sinks like that are not more common in camper/van/car/rv/conversions. Or maybe those kinds of combo sinks are common in the UK, but I have yet to see them as a feature for camper builds in other countries. Yours is my first. You have provided all the things people generally need and want in one space. I know some people have commented on the lack of a shower. However, for a quick and basic wash you have that ability with warm/hot water and a sink. If you want to have access to pressurized hot water and standing to bathe, that's what the showers and stalls at the campgrounds or gym memberships are for. Thank you so much for sharing your stealth build with us! 💙🖤

That’s the most efficient use of a small space. Everything well thought out from the tv mount, sink/stove combo, toilet and sitting/bedding arrangement. Most vans here in America are a little bigger so my goal is to eventually buy one and do a similar build hopefully adding a small fridge & shower(bathroom) area with the extra space.

    Personal bookmarks:
1:09 Make under sofa accessible from side door to create a “boot”.
1:30 L shaped sofa - just enough access space by door. Wipeable cushions but too many joins.
    1:35 Privacy Glass
    1:50 Hatchback for shelter.
2:07 TV, Fire TV, DVD player, on extendable arm with magnetic roof aerial
2:37 Drainer over hob, quiet pump. Extendable hose with trigger switch as a tap would be good.
    3:00 Water accessed from rear
4:00 Kitchen work surface extends in front of sliding door.
4:38 MICROWAVE! Russell Hob 600w. If fitted in kitchen unit then 12v cool box or IceCo fridge could go in space where microwave stored.
6:10 Touch dimmable ceiling lights, reading lights, kitchen light.
6:45 Smoke / Gas (Carbon Monixide?) detector
7:25 Slatted sofa bed base, 3 slatted bed extension pieces store on top or inside.
8:52 Loo has removable front section, more comfortable. If bottom section was removable too then wouldn’t have to lift toilet out to empty.
Notes: on other videos on this channel there’s a privacy cab curtain with press studs at sides. Curtains on windows with top and bottom rails. Panelling behind sofa that creates a back rest / shelf; steps down but would be better continuous height and on other side by sliding door could have hooks and clips to store leads etc with access door to storage under seat too. Flip up table on end of sofa bed, boot end, for outside use. Panel behind front seats to extend bed length. Could be back rest that flips down when front seats moved forward, at present it flips up. USB plugs. 3 pin plugs for hook up.
Presume insulated but no heating, requires diesel. Or fan heater on hook up. Or 12v electric blanket.
If had tall kitchen unit, bureau style, then more storage, microwave could be contained within, drop down front would provide a table that can be used sitting down and on end of unit at rear could have hooks to hang coats or a long item on a hangar.

@@microcampersukvanlife4810 Just my notes as doing research. Really like your build but have read you’re not doing conversions at present. It’s a great design but I’d like a full height kitchen unit so that the microwave could be fitted inside and it would give more storage. You could have a small rectangular sink within, enough for washing hands or cleaning teeth, rinsing off dishes with a trigger style extendable hose/tap, or filling up a collapsible bowl if you need more. If designed like an old fashioned desk bureau the flip down front would provide a table too.. similar to this ua-cam.com/video/8qQZ-miXKpg/v-deo.html

Very nicely designed. You need a small chest fridge under one of your seats, accessed by a pull out drawer. Edit- i also think the toilet should be in another pull out drawer under seat too. Easier to access. You give up clothes storage under your seats, but maybe you can put some kind of light stacked storage, to put on front passenger seat for clothes. Like those plastic drawers. Also the most important thing is a fan or screened vent in the ceiling. For fresh air when you sleep. Because it doesn't feel safe to leave a window cracked open at night. Some kind of nice window coverings like curtains or pull down shades too. A couple solar panels would be nice too. If I had a car like that I would love it, because sometimes I need to make overnight trips for work, and it sucks to have to pay for a hotel. I could just sleep in this instead. Plus it's not too big that it would use too much gas. This would be perfect. I wish the car manufacturers would just make them that way lol.

found a problum with these type of vehicals, the rear door, a few months ago, was camping, weather nice and hot, sitting in back with side doors closed, having a coffee, but rear door up, a rain cloud came over , left it open, after a few mins, water started coming though door, , found out it was collecting were the number plate is, running into gapes, so pulled door down to 45', fixed, not not ideal, now got a tarpaulin that goes over rear door, that stops water going though door were number plate is, door can stay open,

I don't really like the toilet, laveo dry flush toilet would be a better preference for me
The hob/burner is to small to fit any sizeable pot, an electric portable one that is stored away after use would be much better. Above all, it's a nice build for a solo person who has a gym membership 👍🏾

Fairly awesome. Only thing I don't like (and this is being picky) is that the toilet is where my head would be when I sleep and watch tv, and if the toilet was full of shite and pisse it could possibly emit a smell. Maybe the the toilet down the other end?
