Take a look at this latest campervan build from GB Camper Conversions. The Citroen Berlingo makes a great micro camper, specifically with this conversion creating neat and practical use of such a small area.
This conversion is using a leisure battery and heavy duty split charge relay for power. The main storage unit is built using high quality lightweight poplar ply finished in Puntinella with Aluminium corner profile for a sturdy well made finish with Black sparkle worktop. With an ample storage unit is where the 12v sockets, USB power outlet and battery gauge are located as well as a portable gas stove and portable toilet which are all easily accessible. The rear L-shaped seating provides comfort for relaxing and using the unit for cooking or washing with ease, both seats are fitted with heavy duty runners to allow the seats to be extended to make a decent comfortable bed measuring 900mm X 1700mm when fully extended, with storage below both seating units. A nice sized internal or external dining table finished in black sparkle with folding telescopic leg is easy to use and stows away neatly at the end of the large unit. The smaller rear extendable seat can be easily removed for use outside or to create a bigger space inside for short days out.
This micro camper conversion was built with practicality in mind, maximising storage space and functionality.

Good work but I would have used double sided tap to stick the floor battens down, no screw holes and if you reinstate car no holes in seat back.
Really good job. I’ve seen people with just blank wood sheets used so it doesn’t look great, that looks amazing though.

As a self converted Citroen Berlingo full timer I would find this build totally impractical having only the rear lift over door as ingress and egress ! As an occasional 'Day Van' it may work for some. I have no doubt the workmanship is top notch but when the aesthetics take over the practicalities it becomes pointless in my personal opinion.
This is obviously a build just for summer week-ends, not for long trips. No sink, no cooker, no insulation, holes in the car body under the floor to let it rust quickly. Beauty before practicality. Not for me, thanks.

The pull out bed base is wasted space as well unless I missed something.

iirc you need a 6ft bed and fitted sink to tax it as a camper, not a van
Great build, curious... cassette toilet? To use: slide it outside? Is there a way to make it accessible from the inside?
If you're in New Zealand (which they're not) - you have to be self contained to "boondock/freedom camp". Even if you were parked beside public toilets, you'd get walloped with a massive fine for not being self contained (take your ablutions, and grey water with you)
The unit could be split in half lengthwise and the one that houses the toilet can be made lower for access

Nice build but Being right hand drive I would have thought it would have been made with seating on opposite side so side exit wouldn't be into the road, I was going to ask if you sit in the cupboard to take a shit but thought you might think I was just taking the piss

How do you use the toilet
May I ask how the **** you are supposed to actually make use of the toilet. It is not immediately obvious!

Hey this looks great! I’m considering doing a similar thing, but I was wondering if this model of car is high enough for a conversion. What’s your experience with this? I see you took out the boot floor, would you recommend doing that, and if so, did you gain a lot of height with that? Thanks!

Looks amazing but not a practical built, no space for freezer, material too heavy, and sleeping only one person, this built is only for its amazlooking not for use and hit the roads
