Growing up in Fairfield County, I was a listener all through high school, I taped many of his shows on WOR. I have an autographed napkin from one of Shep's appearances in NYC to promote In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash, that my buddy got for me when I could'nt attend. I still listen to my recordings of his shows, he was one of a kind.
IIRC, Fred Barzyk was Shep’s producer, either on WOR 710, or his TV efforts. Shep’s radio program, Mad Magazine and the National Lampoon shaped my formative noggin, and I manifest those influences to this day on my non-commercial FM radio show. I laugh at my own jokes, I deliberately shuffle papers on mic, and occasionally veer off-topic when the impulse strikes me. So in conclusion I say to you, Excelsior, you fatheads!

Are we going to see this documentary soon? I would love to see it. Shep was amazing! Growing up in NJ, I loved when he did Shepard's Pie.
