Tbh this series has been filled with so many time-related paradoxes and contradictions and inconsistencies from the very beginning, that I frankly don’t care that much anymore when something makes no sense with the timeline. I just suspend my disbelief and roll with it
Well, technically by stopping judgment day John would never be born, unless reese really wasn't his father...if you think about it reese couldn't be the father because John was born before he met reese in the original timeline that lead to judgment day

That’s the problem with the Terminator franchise, they just constantly go back and try to build directly off of Terminator 2 instead of actually progressing the story forward

There’s this French Terminator die-hard fan, Florent Abougit, who actually wrote a great script for T5 and T6, which continued the original story, connected all previous 4 movies and made a lot of loopholes logical. He tried everything he could to have it produced, but 1) No one knows him in Hollywood, so he’s not in any writers guild or shit like that, and 2) Everyone laughed at him because he’s French, so no one would help him save the franchise. When me and my dad went to see the film in theaters and John was killed, we we're sooooo pissed. And a guy and his girlfriend got up and left, and somebody else sweared very loudly and he got up and left. And what makes me more angry is that James Cameron destroyed his own creation.
2 years later and I'm still watching this. Jeremy, keep doing what's making you happy and through that it brings happiness to others. So funny, love the uploads!
T3 RoTM: John's a whiny b!tch Salvation: he's NOT the leader of the human resistance. Genesys: he's corrupted into a Terminator himself. Dark Fate: let's just straight up kill him. Boy, these entries really don't know how to respect John Connor.
@Bobby da Costa yeah he was the hayden christensen of terminator. T3 was pretty okay tbh and now that you're putting it that way, the other films make so much more sense now. Perhaps Miller and Cameron thought they had explored it all and it was time to pull a shyamalan and turn everything upside down. Kinda like a band trying a different genre and getting hated for it. OFC, nobody expects you to literally throw your instruments away and start rapping, why so tryhardy, why so extreme. EASE into it, i thought sex would've taught them how to do things in life for once xD
The thing is John could have just as easily filled “Carl”’s role. Simple: John thinks Judgement Day is averted, Sarah thinks it could still happen and the two have a falling out. John pursues a normal life and starts a family while Sarah continues to stay off the grid. Sarah goes to John for help protecting Dani in the third act, the two reconcile, one of them sacrifices themself and the other lives to train Dani, passing the torch to the new generation while giving one of these characters a proper send off. But no, they wanted to shoehorn Ahnold in somewhere.
Good job, and your story's far more engaging than what we got. That's way better writing than what we're getting these days, which is incredible, given all the time and thinking that SHOULD have gone into this movie. As is the case with Star Wars, it's sometimes difficult to believe that the people now running these franchises have actually watched, or even liked, any of the movies.
Yes, interesting, good possibility! Unfortunately, hollywood doesn't work like that apparently. It's like:' ok, who's alive, available, who could we use?' and they go from there. The plot comes after..
Genuine question: If the new AI somehow rose up and a new judgement day happened. Wouldn't John still end up being a leader of some sort, so wouldn't John have to die? I feel they had to kill him if they wanted Dani to be the character that she is
5:00 fun fact, they later explained in other lore that the reason they didn't make like A LOT of T-1000's is that basically they were scared of it. It had the potential to basically become smarter then skynet which is why they reverted to more easily controlled models. I mean when you think about it, the T-1000 is a mix of the concept of the "Singularity" and the "Grey Goo" event...........why the hell haven't they done that in a terminator movie yet.
Actually it probably went more like this: Writers: Why the hell are we killing off John Conner? Hes the future savior of humanity. The entire plot of the films hinge on his survival. Director: Because I made Deadpool.
Jurassic world fallen kingdom come out: "maybe jurassic park 3 wasn't so bad." The last jedi comes out: "maybe the prequels weren't that terrible after all." Dark fate comes out: *"Ahh shit here we go again"*
Hot take: I didn't hate Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. I mean, it wasn't good, but it was more "bad sequel bad" and I don't think it retroactively ruined anything the way the Star Wars sequels did. Like I walked out thinking "I mean, the next one could still be kind of interesting," whereas with Last Jedi, it felt like "no seriously, where DO you go from here?" I'll admit that's kind of praising the bare minimum, but if I can do that for one and not the other, isn't that more an indictment on the other?
Fallen Kingdom went back to the books, Prequels were always good, Terminator shouldn't have had dark fate made and let the Sarah Connor chronicles continue.
"You didnt like the movie because you're a mysoginist!" Thats their excuse now. The movie bombed because we're misogynists not because it wasnt original in any way.

Giving a movie a bad review because it didn’t go your way is a just bad review. This review was bad, yes it was a Terminator! But you forget that he was built as an infiltration unit John was bound to die eventually. In T2 extended cuts they extracted his chip and determined that it had an ability to learn. But you clipped T1 saying it doesn’t feel pity or remorse and will not stop, yet you still forget T2 crucial chip extraction scene. Fuck this review was terrible I suggest everyone to watch the movie, this was definitely better then a lot of the Mediocre action movies lately. Plus the Rev 9 was sick.
But granted they are still killers. Slightly more docile with chris pratt of course but still as lethal as they have ever been. The t-800 on the other hand should just be relentless. It's just a machine at the end of the day. It would have pissed me off less if it just went off and was a hermit. Not start a fucking family.
Jeremy, your re-working of key dialogue and impressions made the realization that yet another beloved story is ruined makes this even more heartbreaking.
This movie actually reminded me of Aaron Eckharts line from The Dark Knight Rises where he says, "you either die a hero or u live long enough to see yourself become the villain", and that's the Terminator franchise now its been around so long its become the villain of its own legacy
Hands down the funniest and most hilarious vid you ever posted easy!!! I pissed my pants. The edited Reese scene and your Arnold impersonation was pure genius😂🤣😂😅
Kind of what happens when the studio decides to kill off the central character of the franchise. Audiences don't respond well to that. When I heard they killed off John, there was no way I was seeing this.
I don't understand how in the world those douchebags can miss the Terminator's formula. It's so simple to please the fans and make money with it. No need to hire the Matrix Revolution team. Recipe: Put a Shotgun and a machine gun in Arnold's hand; Put a bunch of cops trying to kill him, Arnold kills everyone. Done. But they wanted to put powerpuff girls on it. Well Go Woke, Go broke.
The only two cool things about Genesis. The future war scenes and the T-3000. Wish they just didn't turn John evil, a human cyborg hybrid with nanomachines would have been awesome to explore
@@twistedmetal56 Skynet ceased to exists in the new timeline and John Connor is now a senator with a daughter. It's kinda cheesy to be honest, but in retrospect it might as well be the canon ending to the series, since everything after T2 has been garbage.
I agree with you on a lot of this. The biggest problem that I have with Dark Fate is the background story that they gave to Arnold's Terminator. How does an advanced killer robot disguised as a human just up blend in with society for 22 years, get married, adopt a child and start a business. It pretty much undoes everything that happened / was established in T1 & T2. It's also probably because it's been so freaking long since T2 came out. The Franchise itself / multiple time lines have become increasingly convoluted
@Joseph Inzinga What are YOU talking about? No one said shit about Sarah Connor. She's one of the universally-lauded film protagonists up there with Ripley and First Blood Rambo.
You're not missing anything. It just throws a big reset switch without having the guts to recast the aging cast. The movie has nothing original to say.
@@Reidbynature yes but it's not "bad". Besides joker, nothing really had anything to say this year. John wick 3 was just a some cool fight scenes. Hobbs and Shaw was just an average action comedy. And this movie had some good action, cool characters, and let's be honest.....t2 was the same as t1. They're all the same. All star wars movies are pretty much the same. These are the tropes of the franchise. They're road trip time travel movies
Agreed it was good it deserves it 6.5/7 out of 10 that it’s been given. The new REV 9 was awesome, it was action packed, from start to end, and the fight scenes were just awesome. Compared to some of these new action movies lately it was refreshing and I enjoyed it. Everyone is so salty about John Connors death, the t800/model 101 was built as an INFILTRATION unit and it was bound to carry out its mission eventually to kill John.
Really? His arguments don't hold much weight and it doesn't seem like he put that much thought into the movie. I'm also a life long terminator fan.(26 years) I don't get the TDF makes T1 and T2 pointless argument. You can't get to TDF without T1 and T2. John led the resistance to victory which led to Kyle and the Terminators being sent back in time. That leads to Sarah, Uncle Bob and John stopping Skynet's creation and saving/extending 3 billion lives. The only reason there is another savior is because 3 billion lives were saved. Dani and Grace wouldn't exist without John Connor. As for Legion's creation and the start of another future war. It's like Uncle Bob and John said in T2. Uncle Bob: It's in your nature to destroy yourselves. John Connor: Yeah, major drag huh. As for Skynet sending back Carl and other Terminators. Carl was sent back from 2029 to 1998. When Carl was sent back Judgement Day happened in 1997. So Skynet sent Carl back a year after the bombs dropped to kill John before he could start the resistance. Just in case the original T800 and the T1000 failed their missions. However due to the events of T2, Carl arrives in a 1998 where the bombs never fell. If Carl succeeded and Killed John post Judgement Day. He would probably have reported back to Skynet creating a new loop. This is when Skynet would first learn about John Connor, the T800 and the time displacement machine. Each Terminator that arrives after John's death was suppose to arrive during the Future War. Why? Honestly, I don't know. Anyway, as for Carl assimilating into society and having a family. Terminators are infiltration units, they aren't just efficient killing machines. They're programmed to blend in and learn/adapt based off their interactions. We don't know why Carl decided to help Alicia and her son, but based on his default programing, we do know that Carl would try to assimilate into society in some way. What Kyle Reese says in T1 is him trying to drive into Sarah's head that this is not a man, it's a machine programmed to kill you and until you are dead he will not stop. Not to mention Kyle also says that "these things are new" when talking about the T101. Kyle hasn't had enough interactions with a T101 to know that it can learn and become more human. Even if he did have that kind of intelligence on the T101, Kyle is still right. If a Terminator is programmed to do something, it will not stop until its finished its mission. Carl is what Uncle Bob would have become if he didn't go into the pool of molten steele. At the end of T2. Uncle Bob was starting to understand human emotions to the point that he tells John, "I know now why you cry, but it's something I can never do." Sucks he couldn't get past the first part of the movie, but most of the arguments in this video fall apart when you think about them.
@@drzaious8136 agreed. He sounds more like a child than a respectable reviewer. Also his stances are from the viewpoint of how an individual who was at war with the terminators at that moment. Nobody knows what a Terminator does after it complete its mission.
@@drzaious8136 Sorry but I find this defense ridiculous excuses. They assimilate into society by acting not feeling. They can act like humans but do not have feelings like one. And if there was a reason the terminator just developed these feelings without being hacked into, then the story should have shown it to us. Otherwise, all I hear are excuses. And I dont get why you continue the "John led the resistance to victory" as a reasoning for the significance of the past 2 terminators. In this timeline JOHN NEVER DID. He DIED when he was a frkn kid. He didnt do SHIT. How was he able to do all the things you mentioned when he is DEAD!!! All that good story we saw should be completely erased. The fact that it isn't erased is a time paradox and is completely dumb. You look at the timeline as if the future can exist before the present... ugh... nothing makes sense.
@@drzaious8136 My appreciation of this video was more for the comedy aspect of it. I wasn't honing into his actual arguments, even though I agree with all of it.
Greg Williams Agreed. This films plot completely invalidates the entire point of the first two movies. None of their struggle is worth anything, the sacrifice of the terminator being lowered into the molten steel means nothing, Sarah and Kyle getting together in the first place has absolutely no meaning whatsoever. It was one of the worst send offs for these characters you could ever do.

Mission failed, request extraction
Jeremy recapping the end of T2 in Arnold's voice had me laughing so hard
His impression is fucking hilarious
All we wanted was a future war movie Tim miller WTF
The inconsistencies after just a few minutes:
>John dies, he doesn’t become a leader.
>He doesn’t become a leader, he doesn’t meet Reese.
>He doesn’t meet Reese, Reese doesn’t go back in time.
>Reese doesn’t go back in time, Reese never meets Sarah.
>Reese never meets Sarah, John is never born.
Tbh this series has been filled with so many time-related paradoxes and contradictions and inconsistencies from the very beginning, that I frankly don’t care that much anymore when something makes no sense with the timeline. I just suspend my disbelief and roll with it
Well, technically by stopping judgment day John would never be born, unless reese really wasn't his father...if you think about it reese couldn't be the father because John was born before he met reese in the original timeline that lead to judgment day
> If John is never born than Skynet never loses the war.
> If Skynet never loses the War than it has no reason to send a Terminator back in time in the first place.
> If there's no Terminator send back in time than Kyle Reese is never sent back in time to help destroy the Terminator.
> If the original Terminator is never destroyed than its CPU chip is never used to reverse engineered to create Skynet.
> If Skynet is never created than no war would have happened.
Ok seriously without multiverse theory the whole timeline makes no sense.
But Terminators that were never built are still arriving from a future that never happened?
@@thadward4629 You're assuming there was an 'original timeline' where Reese didn't father John Connor. The implication of the first movie is that anything you send to the past via time travel will have already appeared BEFORE you send it. There are no alternate timelines, there is a single timeline, with a causality loop, in which Reese will always meet Sarah, John will grow up and send Reese into the past.
Funny how Cameron got pissed at Fincher killing Newt and Hicks in Alien 3. And then allows the same to happen to his characters.
I call that a hypocrite.
I loved his early work but Cameron is a sellout woke hack now just as bad as Ridley Scott.
@@Maesterful Yep. And someone said that the Rev 9 didn't kill the innocent immigrants while killing the border agents.. I smell open borders agenda brainwashing on that one.
Cameron lost all passion for Terminator. The industry has destroyed his sense of joy and pride for his works.

The Michael Bien impression made this review my all time favorite. I died laughing...and then I was sent back in time to tell myself not to laugh so a sequel could be made.

And why the Mandoverse is the true Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.
I want Season 3!
Your voice over on the John and terminator scene had me crying with laughter
PHENOMENAL! Great job Jeremy!
Instant thumbs up after that scene.
I was lost at first
Dead with laughter!!! 😅🤣😂💀💀💀😅🤣😂
Funniest thing I've seen in 2019
Your Kyle Reese dubbing made me believe that was Michael Biehn.
Good job with that.
Me too mate
LOL, it was hard to tell if it was him or the movie at first.
Yep. I was confused for a couple of seconds.
@King Greed I know right!
Edit: Opps, I was thinking in terms of the movie instead of the actor.
Yeah, Biehn had been one of my favorite actors because of Terminator and Aliens.
And he never really got any credit.
Reese laid the groundwork for Sarah, and she passed it down to John.
And John taught his father, that is some family!
Hahaha me too
This was by far, one of Jeremy's funniest reviews. He NAILED ahnold's accent, but I wasn't expecting him to do it a 2nd time! Mountain Dew almost shot of my nose!!😂
So the heartless killing machine felt bad then started a what?!?!
You know he's mad when hes wearing the black bathrobe.
and when he starts drinking "water" for the review.
“I gotta go, but I don’t actually have to go we could live in a cabin in the woods together.” LMAO
I really hoped that's what had happened when I first saw the dark fate trailer! Not the same T800 from T2 but another protector that showed up a few years later, pretend to kill John, but not really kill him, new mission to fake his death and then keep him in hiding in the woods. I don't know... I just don't won't him dead!
A fake death would have been better than what actually went down
BradBrochill23 yeah that was good lol 😹
"But you know what, were not going to do that. Bye, die horribly, fuck you". LMAF.
Classic. The Rees talk was awesome as well
They should have built on to salvation. I know that now.
At this point I'd even take T3 over Dark Fate.
That’s the problem with the Terminator franchise, they just constantly go back and try to build directly off of Terminator 2 instead of actually progressing the story forward
@@benm5970 I enjoyed Salvation and would have rather have got a continuation. End the 3rd movie with Skynet and the Resistance sending The T-800 and Kyle Reese back to 1984 and to continue the story watch the 1st Terminator.
@@mysterion3182
Yeah I agree they should’ve just built off of Salvation, move the story forward, stop resetting it
There’s this French Terminator die-hard fan, Florent Abougit, who actually wrote a great script for T5 and T6, which continued the original story, connected all previous 4 movies and made a lot of loopholes logical. He tried everything he could to have it produced, but 1) No one knows him in Hollywood, so he’s not in any writers guild or shit like that, and 2) Everyone laughed at him because he’s French, so no one would help him save the franchise. It’s sad, because his story was awesome, and would have saved the franchise...
Jeremy.... this review is by far THE best and MOST hilarious video you’ve ever done!
Anyone else finds it MORE entertaining when Jeremy hates a movie? Or is it just me?
His UA-cam career began with a passionate rant.

His twilight reviews are my all-time favorites.
I feel like a friend that's listening to his drunk friend rant about how much he hates his ex
Well you could be the girlfriend or boyfriend having to hear them talk like this during sex.
That is when you get the popcorn.
On the other hand.. I love Jeremy getting a refill with Jameson… my favourite whisky alongside with Seagram.. Both of them do the trick.
James Cameron fucked up his own creation.Hes the one who killed John Conner.
We've all been on both ends of that rant. LoL!!!
T3 RoTM: John's a whiny b!tch
Salvation: he's NOT the leader of the human resistance.
Genesys: he's corrupted into a Terminator himself.
Dark Fate: let's just straight up kill him.
Boy, these entries really don't know how to respect John Connor.
I feel like if Salvation had continued then we had really seen him become the leader. Anyway I still think Bale was the best adult John.
@Bobby da Costa Dark Fate makes Genysis look good? Fucking hell it looked bad but that's REALLY bad.
Straight, white, and male. You had to know how it was gonna go.
@Bobby da Costa I also feel like T3 and Salvation had potential, but were badly written.
Just realised the whole Kyle Reese segment was dubbed. Lol
Best dub ever.
That's some impressive ADR.
Really good work
He does one of the best Arbolds as well! He is a pretty damn goid impressionist!
If only he could collab with *ALIEN Theory* to do a voice over of Hicks in Theory's Earth Wars vids.
Thought that was actually Reese's voice for a minute there, so good job on Jeremy doing decent voice over acting.
That Arnold voice impersonating was funny as hell lol
"I thought it was dumb [that Hicks and Newt were killed off]. I thought it was a huge slap in the face to the fans. " - James Cameron
James: oh yeah let's do this shit again in Terminal to dark fake!!
yeah, he's so cynical
Cameron is trash!
@Michael Anderson similar to "An effect without a story (or reason or whatever, forgot exact quote) is pointless."
It was Cameron’s idea he did t direct alien 3
I would have enjoyed that movie, I’m not gonna see Dark Fate
Yes, interesting, good possibility! Unfortunately, hollywood doesn't work like that apparently. It's like:' ok, who's alive, available, who could we use?' and they go from there. The plot comes after..
arnold could be the REV9
You have the best Arnold impression I’ve ever heard. Very very good.

Jurassic world fallen kingdom come out: "maybe jurassic park 3 wasn't so bad."

Dark fate comes out: *"Ahh shit here we go again"*

Hot take: I didn't hate Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. I mean, it wasn't good, but it was more "bad sequel bad" and I don't think it retroactively ruined anything the way the Star Wars sequels did. Like I walked out thinking "I mean, the next one could still be kind of interesting," whereas with Last Jedi, it felt like "no seriously, where DO you go from here?"
I'll admit that's kind of praising the bare minimum, but if I can do that for one and not the other, isn't that more an indictment on the other?
Fallen Kingdom went back to the books, Prequels were always good, Terminator shouldn't have had dark fate made and let the Sarah Connor chronicles continue.

Giving a movie a bad review because it didn’t go your way is a just bad review. This review was bad, yes it was a Terminator! This is Jeremy's best video. Especially the Voice over parts. Never stop drinking that water, Jeremy.
Really? His arguments don't hold much weight and it doesn't seem like he put that much thought into the movie. I'm also a life long terminator fan.(26 years)
I don't get the TDF makes T1 and T2 pointless argument.
Uncle Bob was starting to understand human emotions to the point that he tells John, "I know now why you cry, but it's something I can never do."
Sucks he couldn't get past the first part of the movie, but most of the arguments in this video fall apart when you think about them.
There’s T1 and there’s T2, no other Terminator films exist in my mind
Greg Williams Agreed. This films plot completely invalidates the entire point of the first two movies. None of their struggle is worth anything, the sacrifice of the terminator being lowered into the molten steel means nothing, Sarah and Kyle getting together in the first place has absolutely no meaning whatsoever. It was one of the worst send offs for these characters you could ever do.
Well, that's because Sarah and John ended the War. End of story.

@@jay83 Agreed, loved T3 and also thought the ending was perfect and emotionally satisfying. And heartbreaking, that empty bunker because nobody else in charge made it... and then the radio message...brilliant. It made so much sense.
I remember when the marketing for this came out and I was so insanely happy to hear Eddie furlong was coming back, but then heard what they did and was just disgusted I actually felt bad for Eddie
Jeremy thank you for pretty much reviewing this film the exact way I felt it. I was totally in denial leaving the theatre. Tried to like it because I waited a year for that shif
That Kyle Reese dubbing was hilarious, and was really well done!!
"Let's kill John Connor right away, then have the Terminator be an elderly family man who sells drapes. That'll go over great!" -Hollywood
And a tiny girl is the leader of the resistance now. Screw this film
I must of watched this at least 50 times now simply for the Kyle Reese voice over - it is absolutely fucking outstanding , some of the best VO i have EVER heard. Truly incredible , thankyou for your skill and the enjoyment i get listening to it. (Watched Terminator just yesterday and was comparing the scene - jaw dropping).
Yooo this my favorite spoiler talk from Jeremy. Dude Arnold impressions had me dying
I used to think Terminator sequels were a comedy...now it’s just a f*cken tragedy
F*cken? lol
The death of John Connor was the death of this franchise
Joseph Arredondo it’s been dead since T3, I don’t think you can kill it again
@@thefury770able It's like they are constantly resurrecting the franchise to kill it again in each iteration.
thefury770able T3, TS, and TG were meh films. T3 snd TS could’ve been great but weren’t executed all that well. They smacks to the face of the franchise...DF was a bullet through the brain.
I dont know if anyone has ever done a john conner impression before but your impression might just be the best thing ive ever heard and then the Arnold schwartzenblah had me rolling around with laughter...and ive just had an operation on my abdomen so it was bitter-sweet but still amazing
