The MZ is very comfortable to ride..Ligtht in weight and fast enough for my riding style..They are very reliable motorcycles..I've had motorcycles of just about every make you can think of..and yet i love MZ's...Just the fact that you don't have any valves to adjust, makes me happy..

A sima 250-esem is tekergette a blokktartó lemezt ha nyélgázt húztam. Bele sem merek gondolni ez mit csinálhat... A pillekönnyű elejéről nem is beszélve.

Ha a gyújtást meg tudták már akkor oldani jeladósra, akkor a fordulatszám már nem akkora tényező. Láttam már 6 hengeres Jawa-t is ... de nagyon lefelé "lógtak" a szélső hengerei... az valahogy nekem nem volt túl bizalomgerjesztő. Most egy 634-es Jawa-m van ... az ETZ-hez képest valahogy nekem a komfortosabb, jobban bírja a nagyobb emelkedőket nem beszélve a bölcsővázról ... "valahogy" stabilabb.

Where can I get one? Seriously, this is one very nicely made machine, very well engineered. It's suprising that the GDR MZ factory didn't put something like this into production. I would certainly have bought one. My dream back in the early 80s was a 250/1 Supa 5 (yes, I have weird automotive tastes) and I eventually got one - but at the time there was in existence a small but passionate group of people who would have bought such a machine.
Padi Phillips Engineers would have done it but the government forced them not to build newer/better vehicles (they said that citizens wouldn't need something like this) - same for automobiles (search for Wartburg 355, Trabant 603 and so on). They made many mistakes in politics and that lead to big dissatisfaction within the citizens of GDR and finally destroyed the state.
Well, something is wrong. This bike gets to 100 km/h in roughly 10 s (as seen at 1:12). This is roughly the same acceleration that ETZ 250 had according to wikipedia.

Great video and a top class conversion! Would be good to understand the engineering that went in to this. How were the two engines combined, what modifications need to be made to the driveline and chain run, was the clutch upgraded, how were the engine mounts fabricated, how were the crankshafts joined etc etc? I have a couple of spare TS250 engines and would like to know the secrets of this conversion.👍👍

Die normale 250 ETZ ging ja schon ab wie Schmids Katze ! aber 500 ccm muß ja der Hammer sein ! Der Klang erinnert ein bißchen an die 350 ccm Jawa ;-)

István Vígh Ez egy egyedi gyártmány. Kéthengeres MZ - a BK 350 kivételével - soha nem készült sorozatban.
