There was a tour quite a few years ago instigated by Donald Fagen called “New York Rock ‘n Soul Revue” and there were a bunch of artists included - Boz, Michael McDonald, Phoebe Snow, Charles Brown - one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. They did release an album of it, definitely worth listening to if you haven’t yet.
Three LEGENDS here. This is Boz’ song and Fagen of Steely Dan and McDonald become part of the band. The entire concert is amazing. All of their hits. Watch them do Kid Charlemagne by Donald Fagen of Steely Dan.
Sooo smooth. Loved them handing off the chance to blow a bit from flute to guitar to that funky looking horn. Great seeing Donald and Michael sitting dutifully at their keyboards, knowing I'll hear a few, at least some by each of them. Cool combo indeed. 😎 🤙🏼🎶❤️✨️🕊
Can you say "smooth jam"? That is one of those tunes that could just go on and on, and I would still listen. Just groovy, smooth, musical excellence. Thanks Biz, will be adding to the playlist..
Puts a smile on my face. Exquisite musicianship all round. Note how hard the drummer was working to keep this groove going. Perfection! thanks for reacting to this one!
Dukes of September is an amazing supergroup! 🤩 I hope you react more of them 🙏🏻

Boz is great love this song . You need to react to more of this concert it’s really cool with Donald, Michael, and Boz you can’t get any better.

My favorite, so funky , so bluesy , and the lyrics... spot on!

Love Lowdown and Lido Shuffle so much. Would love to see you react to Boz doing Breakdown Dead Ahead. It's one of my feel good, go to songs. ❤
I saw Dukes of September when they were out touring. A true supergroup. Three of my all time favorite artists.
" Miss Sun " Dukes of September! 2nd to none❤
" Miss Sun " Dukes of September be the cut ! 3 living legends. Boz vocals with Miss Monet is outstanding 😊

I hear Boz talking to his son in this performance ❤ he passed in 1998 from heroin overdose.
Keep your sunny side up!

Fire
If you are lucky enough, go see Boz!!!
Freddie Washington on bass.
That was good but you should listen to the original that was released early 70s.
He reacted to it a couple years ago.

They do a decent version of the Grateful Dead's Shakedown Street as well....
Steely Dan was not really a band. They had two guys and then the rest were session players. And it usually wasn't the same session players
