  • n each bi-monthly episode of DiResta (every other Wednesday at 2pm PST), artist and master builder Jimmy DiResta (Dirty Money, Hammered, Against the Grain, Trash for Cash) lets us into his workshop, to look over his shoulder while he builds whatever strikes his fancy. On this episode of DiResta, Jimmy whips up a mold from a Rodin "Thinker" statue to make a lamp. Bright idea!

Your solution to fixing that volume issue made me speak out "i wouldnt have thought of that damn"

For DIY vlogs, this is the preferred style. Low on personality (all the wonderful down-home humor, music, emotions, and lists of tools needed for the job, what they did last week, etc.)...and instead, high on information. The recognition here is that the information is why we are watching the vlog, and the personality stuff, just something to be endured until the information begins to flow. Three thumbs up for Diresta vlogs.

mu99ins Jimmy is also a pretty cool guy, he was in three tv shows a ways back. I also like how he focuses on the project and not what he ate for lunch.

Simple concept and something anyone can do. Also a good way to experiment with making castings. My only concern is someone trying to resell an item like that. What are the legal ramifications of using someone else's art to sell a product?

A suggestion here would be rather than drilling from bottom to his back and sticking a lamp above his head. It would have been fun or very artistic if the lamp would have been in front of his legs on front side. It would be like he is thinking and staring at lamp :P
