To add some flavor to the red candy apples, put 1/4 cup of "red hots" or those cinnamon candies in the mixture. They will melt into the sugar and give your apples a nice flavor.

I have a tip for u if you want to do this for parties then it is a better idea to cut the apples first and then dip It in the chocolate, caramel or candy then it is easier to eat and it isn't so messy (and the kids can eat the apple and not only the toppings 😂)

Great presentation and great video, thanks for sharing!! I was not successful with this at all….I attempted the caramel apple technique and it was a disaster. The nuts ran down after standing them on the wax paper and even sprinkles as well. So my project was a bust. Beware to others if buying items and it becoming a waste….not her fault just had high expectations is all. Have a safe Halloween everyone!

I like your caramel is semi-home made:) Nice tutorial.
if you don't want to use a microwave, you can use a double boiler. you need a pot, and a bowl that'll fit on top, make sure the bowl doesn't go too much into the water. anyways, put water in the pot and put the bowl on top. then let the water boil. when its boiled, put it on low heat. after, you put your desired candy in the bowl, and CONSTANTLY stir it. if you don't, it'll probably burn, I think.

The candy for 2 days aprox, because then the candy will get sticky but the rest (chocolate & caramel) for about a week or soo :)
