Wow Jazz, I am not a candy maker and this was so easy. The caramel is dry to the touch and dipped easily, didn't drip off the apples. Next time I will double so I can use the whole can of sweetened condensed milk. I also dipped half of a dried apple ring and let them cool on parchment. Great, easy recipe. Thank you.

I’m seeing so many complaints about the music…..wow really….it’s not that serious….anyway I will be trying your recipe. It looks delicious! My issues when I make them is the caramel always slides off unless I dip them in nuts, or in chocolate😮. Or they stay too sticky. They taste is always there, but it’s the stickiness I don’t like! ❤

Hi, following your recipe, I don't know if I discovered a hack for the Caramel by accident.
I just boil sugar butter and corn syrup till it reached 245. No need to stir since it's butter n sugar, won't stick to pan. For it to reached 245 on high, took no more than 6 minutes. So now I microwave condense milk so it does not bring your sugar temp down as you added. I added the condense milk, brought to 245 again in les that 5 minutes. So caramel can take less than 11 minutes if I had been microwaving milk at the same time the sugar , butter and corn syrup was boiling. Let me know if it worked out. If not, I have hocus pocus hands because it came out just like yours. I am still in shock😲

Those silicone pads does not need to be "buttered" as they are NON STICK already.

Thanks! I just know how sticky caramel can be and wanted to prevent it as much as possible.

Parchment paper is also known as a NON STICK method and stuff STILL STICKS. :)

Dang, don’t be so harsh. I’ve seen many bakers butter it because caramel is that sticky and We would rather butter than our caramel apples be stuck to it. Better safe than sorry.

@@Bunnymayn Before talking, you should know that MANY bakers prefer the silicone mat over parchment because parchment DOES stick to caramel and has been known to rip. So she actually had the BETTER method. This poor girl is just showing us her method. She's not telling people this is the only way to do caramel such as you are. And don't need to be so rude and arrogant. Educate yourself before attempting to teach others. Prick.

I made that recipe. But they had the butter, brown sugar and syrup soft boil first. Then add condensed milk. I’m learning. One mistake at a time.

This video is a TRIP! Recipe looks good. But the two songs overlapping. Wth? Scary as heck! Then the voice of the narrator half asleep. I don’t think she’s the one cooking either. It’s just so weird. But thanks for the recipe lol!!

This video was originally for Halloween. If you go back, I have the same video, just decorating the Apple for Halloween. I tried to mask the Halloween music but it didn’t end up working. I was fully functional and was the one cooking the entire time.
