Paul, take it slowly and steadily, keep everything warm and follow the process shown here and you should be fine. We published a supplemental video showing some of the common problems we have seen that might be of interest.
We bought ours from a ship’s chandler because they are used a lot on boats. Try searching for companies that specialise in fasteners. Somewhere like Spalding Fasteners may have them.
Hello, I have a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. I recently had a new soft top installed by a gentleman who has an auto upholstery business. There are large gaps between the windows and the top. Previously, there was a removable hard top on the car. Is this a common problem with Alpines, or did he not install it correctly? Thanks for any help.
@@michaelsekiya5291 I am sorry Michael. I am not familiar with either of those companies. I am guessing that they are in the U.S.? My advice would be to speak to other owners local to you and see what their experience has been. A soft top costs a lot of money and is a big job to fit correctly so it is worth getting one that is high quality and correctly cut.
I thank you for this video, I will be fitting my new soft top to my SV in the next 30 days.

Hi! Do you happen to know where the small metal reinforcing plates for the rivets can be purchased?

There would not normally be gaps, the rubbers on the frame should be sealing against the windows as shown in the Part II of this video,

hey, may i know where you get the soft top from
Hi, We get our soft tops from Don Hoods in the U.K. We have had several from them over the years and have always been impressed with the quality.

In your opinion, would i be better off ordering a top from Mr. Hood or the C.A.T. company?
