      @@dereksstuff8395 they told me directly it’s in the works from the factory. Seems like they should have had the option out of the gate.

      @@charger7022I would’ve bought it the first night I saw the 1165v if it had the foot control. Still waiting. Soon they say.

      Check out Tony's Cool Tools channel review of this splitter. Machine is equipped with an knee control actuator. Seems better than a foot one.

    Hi Derek - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. A very impressive machine with great knife speed. However, I would prefer a longer knife to more effectively split the larger rounds even if the that resukted in reduced speed.

    Great little machine. I’m shocked how fast it is. Like other commenters, I think a foot pedal would be safer- you can free up both hands to keep the block where it’s supposed to be. I like it!

    How tall is the working table?
    I deal with a lot of really big tree service wood. I wonder how it would do with a really big round! (40" red oak). Probably would have to remove that guard on the front.

      @@FirewoodInTheField Thanks! The table is 32" high. They also have the option for a side shelf (to the right) If I ever got a 40" round, I'd just bust it down with my skid loader mounted splitter (home made)

    New Sub! Looking into getting the electric version this fall. How do you like the hand operated control? Would it be better with a foot pedal?

    Looks like it's working good! Does it look like a foot pedal could be fabricated for it? I know Splitfire says it's a safety issue but...

      Great machine! They should get moving on the foot pedal. Looks more dangerous with the hand lever and only one hand on the wood.

      Pretty sure they are going with a "knee" operates lever instead of a foot pedal. Inside info from someone getting one for review and testing purposes.

      Nice little machine, didn’t know split fire made a vertical splitter. I agree with the other comments about a foot pedal being safer, seeing your thumb wrapped around the piece to hold it up had me nervous 😂

    Dangerous design. Gas hard to fill, no foot lever...... really needs to be re-designed. But I must admit.....it is really fast and compact.

    Wow it's a speedster, where is this machine manufactured it would be easy enough to put in a foot pedal.

    Rule #1 of splitting: Split where you stack. You now have to handle your wood twice. Why you got that machine with wheels! Use them

    Doesn't look like it has enough power to lift or process anything over 12- 15 in.

      @@jameschandler2776Hickory is quite heavy. I'll put a bigger piece of hickory on there tonight and make a quick video of it lifting. Thanks!

      @@dereksstuff8395be careful with lifting larger rounds. That splitter only weighs 450 lbs.

    Don't put you hand on top of the round that is being split you could lose your hand or some fingers for sure.

    Get some ear protection , muffs are comfortable with Music ... FYI..
