Back in the day we used to use adhesive moleskin pads for muffling - the kind people use on their feet. Now we have Wambooka, Moongel etc. Much neater. Thanks Kalani!
many of the cowbells I have bought in the last year came with a couple pieces of foam tape with a peel off sticker with sticky tape on one side of the foam tape...so you can place them inside the bell to deaden the ring....thanks for the ideas....I have some second skin kits for covering blisters that look a lot like your clear jell drum sticky pads you showed here....will have to give them a try. Same idea...they have a plastic peel off on one side that is sticky....

Flat advertising magnets are great, because you can move them to tune in a note. Best way to dampen. I have 3 x Meinl Chrome bells on a Tama Z-rod mount and they ring right through the mount into the other bells. I may also need to use some clear PVC tube on the rod to try isolate the bell mounts. Cha cha cha.
I found that flat magnets inside the bell work nicely. And moving them around inside makes a big difference.

Yes - Good 'Ol Moleskin! Still does the job.
Or go to the toy store and buy the sticky alphabet.. Same thing as moongel but cost a fraction.

Awesome... I guess we can place the gel inside the bell also, 🤔
Just a loop of duct tape, inside the mouth of the bell. Reduces ring but doesnt affect the stick attack.

For bongo bell you should use another stick
You mean hand cowbell

I'm wanting to add cowbell to my djemb playing with a foot pedal setup. Any advice?
Ive got a fever and the only perscription is more cowbell!
Never put duct tape on any instrument. It leaves a ton of adhesive that is not easily removed. Use gaff tape instead.
Just use tape damn it!!!
Key Is G#3

It´s called Drum Gel.
хороший совет брат, мне нравится.
