The tank disappearing/going invisible is apparently a new feature added to the game. Instead of fixing the problem where you sometimes see outlines of tanks through smoke; now they just go invisible instead. Which is problematic when the vehicle is not fully covered, but still goes invisible. Very cool of Gaijin
This is a great bug, you look around the corner and there is nothing there but the moment you come around the corner the enemy vehicle just pops in and kills you
As somebody who is currently going down the UK ground tree, I am absolutely jealous of the ability of the gun on this tank to penetrate more reliably than all of my 17pdr armed vehicles (not to mention how reliably it one shots things).
The glories of APHE, at least only from the big 3. Meanwhile Gaijin keeps nerfing post pen damage on solid shot to a point where even 90mm AP is going to take 3-5 rounds to kill a T-34, despite we have a real case if the Pershing 90 AP going in the front and out the back of a T-34. And I don't care it was those war models Russia wanted to get rid of.
yeah take it from a man who got 10.0 USA / Germany / USSR. I gave up grinding british at 5.0, Honestly not worth it considering they still havent fixed the Challenger 2's lower plate and breach spacing to IRL conditions, basically rendering it a 1 shot.
@@robertharris6092as a person who grinded the entire British tree, 7.7 is basically the highest you want to go, above that it's all just downhill honestly. The only exception is the Rooikats, as they're fun to play on their own, but otherwise just stick to 7.7 and below.

The only chief you have to completly avoid is the mk 5 and honestly mk 10 has no right to be at 9.0 considering its ammo(l23 round is much worse than american and german 105 rounds + it shouldn't exist in the game), lack of thermals, and heavy tank level mobility. Chief mk3 is the Best one.

Really it depends entirely on which casing variant it is, the ones with the welded casing can be very hard to pen frontally for a lot of tanks at the 3-4 BR range. But the cast version has a lot more rounded edges where with thinner sections for shells to catch find.

It's just that all the tanks that struggle with the (not-Jumbo) Sherman armor are all the tanks that wind up on your team because the enemy team are all German and can lolpen you. The Sherman, on paper, is an excellent tank. Not great in any particular area, but all-around good and with a stabilizer at a relatively low tier. The problem is that German guns make it feel like it's made out of paper and most of what you fight has German guns, lol.

it's actually a KV-1B captured by the Finns, because the Ps in the "Ps 272-1" painted on the front stands for panssarivaunu (basically a tank, although it's usually abbreviated to psv) and Finnish tanks are still numbered in the same style like a T-72 was Ps 264-202 or a Leopard 2A6 is Ps 274-276. there is at least one photo (maybe multiple, I haven't checked) of this captured KV-1B with the "Ps 272-1" in the Finnish army archives, which is the basis for the tank in the game, and I'm fairly certain that the tank in question is now at the Parola Armour Museum.

I'm always impressed at the fact that you can shoot a critical part directly and barely scratch it, but also hit one part of a tank and have fragments fly all the way across the entire vehicle and detonate ammo or fuel on the other side of the hull. It makes me want to become a tank nihilist.

Just a tip with the shermans, the Cast hulls (M4A1 mostly and one of the Isreali Shermans) can be easily penned through their fronts on either corner due to it being only around 38mm and generally impossible to angle, so shoot the closest corner facing you and you should knock out most crew and sometimes the ammo on the sides. the upper hull is also only 38mm thick at the front and a small part of it is unangled so you can shoot just under their turret rings most times and hit dead center mass.
Acetaminophen is some scary stuff. Thousands of people die every year taking Tylenol for their hangover headache not realizing mixing it with alcohol can cause liver failure. Same with mixing multiple acetaminophen-containing medications not realizing they've been taking multiple maximum doses at once.
The most hilarious thing is when German KV meets KV1E, its like the old Monty Python skits with 2 old ladies slapping each other with handbags, they just track and barrel each other over and over for no real progress.
I'd love to see you in the T-34-100. A T-34 testbed for the 100mm that went onto the T-54. At 6.3 With access to BR412D so it will pen just about EVERYTHING it see's.
I find it highly hypocritical of Gaijin that the T-34-100, which was a test tank in 1945, gets BR-412D, a round that was created after the entire project had been scrapped... Yet the M4/T26 doesn't get M304 APCR, a round that existed when the project was made, on top of the M26 and Super Hellcat not getting "late M82" APCBC with 853 m/s muzzle velocity, which also existed well within the time period of these tanks... But I suppose the T-34-100 is a premium that costs 6k GE, so of course it gets special, ahistorical qualities.
I remember seeing this very tank at a tank museum in Finland (the Parola tank museum). Now here's the thing. Right next to it is another KV-1 at the same museum. And it's even stronger...

KV-1E better. Killing your opponent is an additional layer of defence and German tanks at 4.0 die faster than Russian tanks do. The Russian tanks have a harder time dealing with you at first but they figure out where your breach is eventually. Plus the underrated smoke round.
These Halo: Reach audio clips have been much appreciated. Please keep using them! Had >5k hours in the game years ago and it's an awesome throwback to hear. I would say the same about the other Halo sound-effects, but you have a pretty long history of using them already :)
0:40, yeah, looks like it's not just me. For some reason penetrating a kv-1 like that with the russian 76 blows up the fuel tank down there sometimes. It's super funky.
For how good that tank is, it doesn't usually get fielded in the matches I have seen. The German faction is pretty dope, though it does have one of two affects: rushing too hard, or being so eerily conservative with each tank, they may as well be artillery
Its a somewhat rare premium, and you are far more likely to see the identical Soviet premium the KV-1E. Both vehicles are insanely overpowered, but the German one has advantage of not facing German guns, whereas the Soviet one has the advantage of not having German teammates.
As for being conservative, the best German vehicles at this BR range are the Panzer 4s with the long 75mm, but also absolutely garbage armor, mobility, and stability, so you pretty much have to sit in the back with them. Unless you bring the cancer wagon Puma and go fast. Then there's the buffoons who try and rush with them.
@@wokedog1799 I spawn Puma first all the way to 5.7. I rush a lot of caps, but I also usually survive for most of the match, so I'm an outlier. Pz.IVH armour is really trolly once you get the extra track armour over the turret weakspots. Pz. III and IV might not have stab but they can often get the first shot off if you practice your shot timing while rocking on the suspension. Panther is the perfect example of this, as I routinely kill people while stopping. German mediums can't just hold W and pray like USSR or sometimes USA, but they are incredibly reliable vehicles when you don't have to worry about actual reliability issues.
Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. (Day 53)

I always hate encountering these when I play early US. I remember once we had the entire team wiped out with about 4 of us remaining except for one KV-1B who had extra crews. I was left with just a 75mm half track, and actually wound up flanking him as he knocked out two of my teammates. Truly exhilarating, and equally frustrating.
I honestly think the best German Heavy in WT is the Tiger 2 it has an amazing gun with a already great round, the speed isn’t bad, and the armor is really great and can bounce most shells at 6.7 except for the turret
@@Jotgutso is everything single other heavy tank at that BR. If anything, the tiger 2 is in the best position to face then with their better mobility, rate of fire and turret rotation speed compared to other heavies at that BR
hello spookston could you try out the fv4202 its a pretty fun tank with a funky armour layout at 7.0 so german players arent that good and russian players are using the IS-6 and BMP so theyre are a bit absent minded at that BR. My favourite tank ever. Get better man, although you really should grind the Italian tech tree, it has a lot of gremlins and fast vehicles I know you’ll like. On your way there you should try the Breda 501.
This individual KV-1 still exists today. Finland only ever had 2 KV-1 tanks in service and both survived the war and are on display at the Finnish armoured museum.

I remember when I first used this tank, (I took part in the console crate vehicle exploit and got all of the crate vehicles for around $15 total), some guy messaged me after the match and invited me to an exclusively KV-1B/KV-1E squadron. The purpose being to run them in groups of 4 and dominate to make the most of gold wagers. The balls on those guys. Not even trying to hide how shameless they were being.
Too much tylenol is actually the leading cause of liver failure and cirrhosis in the world, not alcohol. Luckily its not a single dose thing, but a long period of exposure deal so you're fine. To actually "overdose" on tylenol is a very deliberate action, a slow and mostly reversible one at that. Thats why the max daily dose has gone from 2,000mg to 1,000 and the max 6 hour dose to 650mg from 1hr. They're all guidelines to avoid cirrhosis not acute poisoning.
regards to what is mentioned at 2:40, So long as it wasn't a large amount you should be fine. It can cause liver damage in doses above around 8,000-10,000mg, thus if you aren't feeling very well and your skin and eyes have taken on a yellow tint, that's when I'd go to a hospital but again if you just had a bit of cough syrup an hour or two after a 1-2g dose of Tylenol, you'll probably be fine.

you should try the M47 OTO, it's the Italian M47 and it's the only varient with a 105mm canon insetad of the usual 90, but it's still the same 7.3 BR as the other versions
I played a low tier match on geramny and a panzer was following me, right when i stop to shoot, he rams me, i kill the guy and then i keep going, he follows me, i stop again HE RAMS ME AND I ALMOST MISS, THEN AGAIN AND AGAIN TILL HE DIED, AFTER THAT MY TEAM WAS ALL AT THEIR SPAWN AND WASNT EVEN CAPTURING THE POISTN
during the most recent event the best br to play at was the one with the kv1b and facing it made it horrible, in the pz4 with the 75mm i couldnt pen it unless it was side on and not looking at me. even the lower plate wouldnt pen
Good timing on this....on a lark today I opened 2 of the gambling crates because I wanted to see if I could get a cool camo, spent $5 and got the KV-1B and the Art Deco F-14 skin.
I fought a KV-1B in my KV-1E one time... it was a special experience. I finally managed to lock him down (with help from a couple teammates) and put a round through the vertical hole in the bolt-on armor on the turret side.
I just faced one of these as the Soviet Union. Like 7 well-aimed t34 (1940) bullets and like 40-70 AA ZiS-12 shots all of them from a very close distance. Not a single critical-hit, got killed twice. By the very same tank. Other two teammates openly shooting it. Definitely a skill-issue
I forgot how I got this thing but either way this thing like it's clone copy the KV-1E are an absolute beast. It's also safe from german guns but not from german teammates who have less situational awareness than a dodo bird.
Fun fact. The Churchill VII has the same weakspot point as the Sherman Jumbo; the machine gun. And apparently the roof of the tank (where it slants to the front turret armor).

I mean, you're not wrong - but I have survived in a heavy for a really long time, sometimes for long enough for my teammates to kill them off, mostly they never come. The most stupid game I had was in a Churchill Crocodile where I was surrounded by at least 8 tanks and I lived for minutes.
Hey spookston, Try the following: fresh lemon juice, with hot water and if to sour add sugar. And drink it as warm as possible. Do that up to 4 times on a day for up to 5 days, it should help you

Yep. Smoke now causes vehicles that are meant to be obscured to just flat out de-render. Totally not broken in any way.

Its a somewhat rare premium, and you are far more likely to see the identical Soviet premium the KV-1E. Both vehicles are insanely overpowered, but the German one has advantage of not facing German guns, whereas the Soviet one has the advantage of not having German teammates.
As for being conservative, the best German vehicles at this BR range are the Panzer 4s with the long 75mm, but also absolutely garbage armor, mobility, and stability, so you pretty much have to sit in the back with them. Unless you bring the cancer wagon Puma and go fast. Then there's the buffoons who try and rush with them.
@@wokedog1799 I spawn Puma first all the way to 5.7. I rush a lot of caps, but I also usually survive for most of the match, so I'm an outlier. Pz.IVH armour is really trolly once you get the extra track armour over the turret weakspots. Pz. III and IV might not have stab but they can often get the first shot off if you practice your shot timing while rocking on the suspension. Panther is the perfect example of this, as I routinely kill people while stopping. German mediums can't just hold W and pray like USSR or sometimes USA, but they are incredibly reliable vehicles when you don't have to worry about actual reliability issues.

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has.

I always hate encountering these when I play early US. I remember once we had the entire team wiped out with about 4 of us remaining except for one KV-1B who had extra crews. I was left with just a 75mm half track, and actually wound up flanking him as he knocked out two of my teammates. Truly exhilarating, and equally frustrating.
I honestly think the best German Heavy in WT is the Tiger 2 it has an amazing gun with a already great round, the speed isn’t bad, and the armor is really great and can bounce most shells at 6.7 except for the turret

My favourite tank ever. Get better man, although you really should grind the Italian tech tree, it has a lot of gremlins and fast vehicles I know you’ll like. On your way there you should try the Breda 501.
This individual KV-1 still exists today. Finland only ever had 2 KV-1 tanks in service and both survived the war and are on display at the Finnish armoured museum.

I remember when I first used this tank, (I took part in the console crate vehicle exploit and got all of the crate vehicles for around $15 total), some guy messaged me after the match and invited me to an exclusively KV-1B/KV-1E squadron. The purpose being to run them in groups of 4 and dominate to make the most of gold wagers. The balls on those guys. Not even trying to hide how shameless they were being.

Overdosing on tylenol can be a super brutal death and basically leads to full blown liver failure.

Too much tylenol is actually the leading cause of liver failure and cirrhosis in the world, not alcohol.
Luckily its not a single dose thing, but a long period of exposure deal so you're fine. To actually "overdose" on tylenol is a very deliberate action, a slow and mostly reversible one at that. Thats why the max daily dose has gone from 2,000mg to 1,000 and the max 6 hour dose to 650mg from 1hr. They're all guidelines to avoid cirrhosis not acute poisoning.

regards to what is mentioned at 2:40, So long as it wasn't a large amount you should be fine. It can cause liver damage in doses above around 8,000-10,000mg, thus if you aren't feeling very well and your skin and eyes have taken on a yellow tint, that's when I'd go to a hospital but again if you just had a bit of cough syrup an hour or two after a 1-2g dose of Tylenol, you'll probably be fine.

you should try the M47 OTO, it's the Italian M47 and it's the only varient with a 105mm canon insetad of the usual 90, but it's still the same 7.3 BR as the other versions

I fought a KV-1B in my KV-1E one time... it was a special experience. I finally managed to lock him down (with help from a couple teammates) and put a round through the vertical hole in the bolt-on armor on the turret side.
So... You can say, that... You penetrated his "armor" with a bunch of guys... 😳

I just faced one of these as the Soviet Union. Like 7 well-aimed t34 (1940) bullets and like 40-70 AA ZiS-12 shots all of them from a very close distance. Not a single critical-hit, got killed twice. By the very same tank. Other two teammates openly shooting it. Definitely a skill-issue
I’ve encountered a KV1 B somewhere and I couldn’t even penetrate the armour, its really responsive to flanking attacks
I forgot how I got this thing but either way this thing like it's clone copy the KV-1E are an absolute beast. It's also safe from german guns but not from german teammates who have less situational awareness than a dodo bird.
Fun fact. The Churchill VII has the same weakspot point as the Sherman Jumbo; the machine gun. And apparently the roof of the tank (where it slants to the front turret armor).

"it doesn't really matter how powerful your tank is, if you get surrounded by four tanks you're done for, it's game over". I mean, you're not wrong - but I have survived in a heavy for a really long time, sometimes for long enough for my teammates to kill them off, mostly they never come. The most stupid game I had was in a Churchill Crocodile where I was surrounded by at least 8 tanks and I lived for minutes.
