The M26 T99 is a premium rocket tank in War Thunder's US tech tree. It's just a Pershing with a bit more bang, but it's a lot of fun.

Honestly the swing fire is some of the most fun I’ve had in WT it works on nearly every map and it’s very hard to counter

Based on my games yesterday, I think the American crews have started saying "mobility kill" when their own vehicle takes damage to the engine/transmission/tracks, even if they're still operational. I wonder if it's a bug (they should have lines about the parts) or just a silly error on Gaijin's part
yeah if you crash going fast and your track takes 1 point of damage you get the line
Yea, it's a bit annoying when my track turns yellow from arty, and my crew yells "mobility kill".
I'm sick of hearing "faster" every 5 seconds when I'm in a heavy going up a damn dune😂

@@sya_7489 No, he made a video on the R3 T20 which is the 20mm one, the R3 T106 FA is the same thing but with 2 recoilless rifles instead of a 20 mm and it's at 7.7

You should really play the T92 its a really fun light tanks in my opinion and its really fun especially when the snail upteirs you to fight is6s
I would love to see you play the Italian M47 (105/55) OTO, it's the only M47 with a 105mm gun instead of the normal 90mm and it's still the same 7.3 BR as the others
You should try the 105 Sherman, at the BR it's in I bounce shells constantly and the damage from the gun is really solid, it just has a lower velocity
Something I wanted to say about the t114 is that it is a good sniper tank because of its spotting.50 caliber in the gun assembly which has the same amount of drop as the main gun
I recently got this vehicle about a week or two ago, as I was trying to find a way to make a more powerful lineup for my American T28.
The M26 T99 really does give the feeling of having some "extra power" that your tank can randomly pull out whenever it wants. As you mentioned, the M8 rockets can easily deal with light or open-top vehicles that you'd normally have to try to .50 cal, but it also has its uses as a make-shift smokescreen. However, instead of it feeling like a "gimmick" to me, it often feels like an incredibly useful tool, almost of infinite use. Are you stuck on a corner with multiple enemies staring right where you'll drive out? Just start aggressively firing rockets to blind your approach, let them fire their rounds, and then swing around whilst using the rockets to blow out their tracks (which the M8 rockets *can* apparently do, I've even had an awkward situation where I think it "overpressured" a Panther F or D from hitting it on the side next to the track on the ground). Need to find some enemies? Just shoot some rockets and hope you spot something. Is stuff in the way? Just blast it.
As for the rocket racks themselves, before buying the vehicle I did some research to see if it was any good, and apparently, the rocket rack explosion thing was "patched out" at some point, or at the very least Gaijin has made it much more difficult to explode them than it's supposed to be. I found a meme video demonstrating it from around a year ago, so apparently it's been this way for quite some time (search 'How to kill M26 T99 Pershing "Easy" - Expectation vs. Reality' by Steel Guru. I can't give a direct link because apparently UA-cam doesn't like direct links, and "shadowbans" a comment with them). Though, to make things more confusing, Frickin Zooted (another War Thunder UA-camr), made a video on it not too long ago and at one point he mentioned them "patching out the explosions" in his video "THIS TANK DROVE ME CRAZY | M26 T99 (War Thunder)" at 5:50.
From what I could find, some people say it's only HE that blows them up now, and penetrating rounds do nothing. The only guess I have is that Gaijin snuck in them not blowing up at some point, I guess after they decided people paid them enough Golden Eagles and said "eh, why not." However, I'm absolutely terrified they'll raise it to 6.7 at some point with the way Gaijin is. On the bright side, it does seem they've removed the requirement to also have to own the Calliope before buying the M26 T99.

Also, is the moment at 2:08 a great example of ULQ settings? I'm honestly at the point of dread any time I see a map with a large amount of "bush" cover, as I know I'll get shot by something I don't *believe* I could see. It's almost making me consider switching to ULQ myself if it's the only way to keep up, especially if "pros" use it.

This skin looks very similar to the World of Tanks Console premium award tank for a Independence Day event a few years ago. It was given alongside the 'Freedom' T26E1-1 and was named the 'Patriot'. Nice video!
I'm pretty sure it is the exact same skin, just on the M26 T99 instead of the T26E5

it's a copy of the world of tanks PC T26E5 skin (where the name "patriot" came from). The console version also copied it a few years after it was introduced on PC.

Hey spook, you should play the type 10 or type 87 SPAA. The type is an amazing MBT with its 4 sec reload. The type 87 SPAA has pretty powerful apds and a good radar. Have an amazing rest of your day.

This is the tank I have the highest K/D in the game. Since I’ve learned to use it I know how to overpressure panthers and T-34s with the rockets as well. Another tip. If you fire off all but the last row of the top rocket racks, you can no longer be overpressured by your rocket ammo. Really weird interaction.

Nice video!, I recommend you to play with the Italian P40, it has a very hard armor for its br and it can be a lot of fun to use it
Its APHE shell also has the tnt equivalent of a 47mm he shell, so it overpressures EVERYTHING u shoot with it.

@@HatOnaCrab yeah, I'm surprised how easy it is to kill any tank with a single shot, its only drawback is its low penetration for its caliber, but it's not a problem if you know how to use it well
Lol the P40's armour is a joke.
Both the Sherman and T-34 have way better armour while also have canons that don't struggle with half of the tanks in their br range.

the P40 has more armor than a T-34, the problem is that it is not angled, even so, you can resist more shots with it than with a sherman of the same Br

9:41 the recent update that "increases the focus on tank sounds" or however they worded it makes tanks that are halfway across the map now sound like they are around the next corner. So many matches I've held a corner waiting for the Tiger or Jumbo or whatever to come lumbering around it only to realize that he's actually like 400 meters away across a field on the other side of the town.

I've been really enjoy watching your videos of the past few months, though just was wondering if you could play the Challenger tank sometime, as its at 5.3, has great mobility, aswell having the same gun as the centurion mk1. Malzi had a video the other day of him playing top tier arcade and I found it funny how much of it was simply tank vs tank engagements, almost zero aircraft. I suspect if gaijin tested arcade system air in GRB it would be very popular, but also suspect they will never do that.

I have recently purchased this myself. It has become one of my favorite tanks. I’m constantly trying to use the rockets like artillery. And they’ve saved my “but” more times than not.

The M26E5 T99 Patriot is a very good pershing. It has very good turret armor at around 340ish effective. in most places. you can also poke with the front plate at a sharp angle if you hide the machinegun port. though sidescraping is probably the better option.
