Just last Sunday, the EA community manager posted on EA forums that they are trying to gather some evidence on Garden Warfare’s recent surge to send to their higher ups which will hopefully bring back attention to the series! I’ll put up the link on the description but this is great news because there’s someone willing to fight for this in the company It’s of course no guarantee of anything or that it’ll get anywhere but I’m sure every bit of help from players count!
Just this has finally helped me decide that if this ever takes traction, I would 100% preorder whatever comes from it. No questions asked. I'm glad to hear this.

The plant vs zombie community, from each game is surprisingly so loyal and dedicated. From their biggest game garden warfare to the most obscure games like plant vs zombies heroes. Which is insane considering that EA has basically given up at this point with this franchise

Yes, this is true... The only game-modes that are playable today in PvZ GW2 are only Team vanquish and Turf takeover. There is zero chance to find a lobby full of players in other game modes like Gnome bomb ! ((P.S: I also play the game on PlayStation 4 so I'm just comfirming what you say))
Turf i find isnt too bad, if youre playing in the UK, sometimes its better to try to North American servers. I find mixed mode is well populated compared to how it was a couple years ago
As someone who has loved pvz my whole life and has played garden warfare for 10 years I'm so happy for this. This game will always have a special place in my heart and i just hope that flame will never burn out and that the game could be saved and brought back to the life like it deserves.
I think that GW3 should keep the mechanics and feel of GW2 but also add in the new characters and a similar hub system that BFN has including the character variants and fan favorite maps
Definitely a good idea. While BFN is by far my favourite, I can't deny its flaws, nor can I deny the flaws of the other 2 games. The ideal would be probably to combine the positives of all the 3 games. The bigger question is whether or not the Trials of Gnomus characters should return? Hovergoat is cool but I will admit even as a former Torchwood player, Torchwood did sometimes feel super unfair. And another thing is what to do with the GW1 and GW2 characters, do we keep their GW2 abilities or do we endorse the BFN abilities? Or do we combine the ability lineups of both games?

The main reason gw2 has more fans then bfn is because variants are such a major part of the game especially the rarer like one gives the imp shotguns or turns foot soldier into a low attack speed burst damage beast the variants absolutely give gw2 most of its replay value since there are over 100 variants
As someone who got into these games in 2016 when GW2 first came out and when it was a alive, it’s nice to see that these games still hold up well years after their peak. Me and my friends find this game nostalgic and recently found our old copies and got back into our accounts to play, which was an amazing experience. The community is still definitely there, and I love that it is. I’m also on board for another game, and hopefully that small glimmer of hope through that post an EA manager made will turn into something bigger. Also, great video, you deserve more subs.
i've been playing garden warfare 2 for about 2 weeks now due to wanting to play something nostalgic (on playstation), and im HOOKED man, i've haven't seen this game be so active since 2019. It makes me happy that this classic is still being played today. greaaaattt video btw.
having played on xbox for a while and getting max rank, there is at least one server somewhat full for each game mode and seems to be the largest concentration of the playerbase. its been thriving partly because of game pass, but also because the other max ranks tend to stay around on the game for longer than on other platforms. its shown by at least one max rank for each lobby and often times a group of max rank friends in some of the lobbies. I will say, garden warfare 2 is most limited by its release time, and there are still an ungodly amount of bugs you can find that sometimes appear at random, and ping speeds are slower compared to neighborvile. although the balance in neighborvile is better it feels samey with the lack of variants, and i like to also see variants being used in interesting and stupid ways
GW2 did kill itself for me once I couldn't bring my PS4 progress over to PC because I had literally played the game for 4 years, so you would imagine that I would want my free twilight chomper, legendary characters and the secret characters with their skins. Recently however I had purchased GW2 on PC because I miss it and I am currently replaying it all to master because why not?
garden warfare 1 might have the kind of visuals you would enjoy if you played the tower defense games alot since it bases itself in the same universe as pvz 1, just in places never seen before, aswell as the issues with servers in garden warfare 2, the servers were constantly degraded through the years due to a lower player count.
as some one who has grown up with both the original and the shooter series sense I was little, this was a great video, I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers BFN over GW1/2
i play Battle for Neighborvillle on console and i will say i dont think ive ever had a problem joining a game, but some will have a lot of bots but after a game real players join. I still remember a while ago when the game was $4.79 and i immediately bought it because i had played garden warfare one 1, personally i dont get the hate towards the game but thats just me. i just wish they updated it more and cared more about the multiplayer when it was getting updated (i really hope that maybe in the far future we get garden warfare 3 or a new game in general)

I quite like PvZ Battle for Neighborville. It's a very nice family game to play together in splitscreen. GW2 is also a nice splitscreen family game, but I honestly perfer Battle for Neighborville. I don't really play online much since I like to play with my family and not with random stangers. But anyway, both games are pretty good. We play them on our Xbox during family game time after dinner. Although, to be fair, lately, we have been playing Call of Duty World at War and Black Ops 3 because they have 4 player splitscreen modes. But Plants vs. Zombies make for better family games, so I'd love to see a Garden Warfare 3 or Battle for Neighborville 2.
Ive played Garden Warfare 2 since like a year after its release. The community is non toxic, the games have so much variety with the varients and theres just a general sense of community and friendly rivalry. After most matches even if it was a one sided beatdown, all sides still have fun emoting and clowing around together in the post game screen. Very rarely do you hear toxicity in game chat. Theres a constant but drip fed stream of new players and finding busy lobbies is no issue at all on PlayStation Lots of edits for spelling and grammar I also forgot to mention its my favourite game of all time after the original tomb raider
The console servers are fairly active. Modes like Team Vanquish usually have AI on the team to fill vacant spots until someone joins but I haven't had these problems with Turf Takeover before. The main hub is active on consoles too and sometimes I'll get a dead server, most of the time this isn't the case though, and just today I was playing with a bunch of people in the main lobby.
PvZ 2 is actually peak if you just play the original 11 worlds (preferably on an older version like 5.0.1 or through a mod like Reflourished). I think it was was a very worthy sequel to the original game that personally I found to lowkey enjoy even more. PvZ 3 is hot garbage you can ignore it, despite the oddly high store ratings the game is almost universally hated in the PvZ community. PvZ Heroes is a very fun card game spin-off that I’d recommend checking out.
Holy.. you just unlocked a core memory with Heroes, I totally forgot that I was hooked on that years ago and I agree that PVZ 2 was actually really good, but man was it hard (for me at the time) and the thought that i needed to pay to maybe compensate for my skill issue was what made me drop it. Might give it another chance!
(fuck off youtube comment filters) The game got a lot jankier and less polished after they released Modern Day Part 2 and had massive lay offs in 2017 (they also removed like half the OST for storage space bruh). With Android or a PC running an Android emulator such as BlueStacks you can download old versions of the game (I would recommend version 5.0.1).
(this is meant to be the last part of the comment but who knows what will youtube allow me to send) Another way would be to just install a popular mod called Reflourished. The premise of Reflourished is that its primarily like an expansion mod to the old PvZ 2 the way it was in 2016 with all of the original adventure content basically intact but with quality of life changes and a bunch of custom extra content like new custom worlds and some bonus levels for the worlds.

i want to say that US east has been carrying me for the past 2 weeks, in the morning US west's ping is stable, but as later it gets, the ping increases while US east remains solid throughout the day.
If you think gw2 is slow paced without sprinting you should learn to bean jump and the superhero jump those tecs fixed the issue for me, in my opinion with the way they implemented sprinting it took away from the characters that could move faster in the previous game but with some changes it could have been really good

BfN is my favorite on the series out of the 3 Ive played since each released, but BfN is pretty "decently" alive on Switch. Theres a pretty dedicated niche playerbase of level 3000s that play actively, lobbies arent too long of a wait time, and 16 player matches end up with more than half of the lobby being real players. There are even usually just 6 or more people just casually messing around in the hub PvP area.
Ea has gotta make garden warfare 3 without any consumables that force you to pay to win. Like GW2 but this time add BFN characters with variants, use the same game models from gw2, add more variants(Goat and stump), add exclusive characters (Chester chopper, Berry shooter, and citrus cactus),bosses as spawn able bot zombies, and have all maps from previous game modes(ex: for gardens and graveyards have walnut hills, Seeds of time)
For bfn, in order to play gnome bomb, you need to wait for the 3rd online play mode to switch to it. There's only 3 so that the players are more concentrated, which is why its easier to get into lobbies. You can't really have both.
These numbers are also on pc, console has a way bigger player base especially since all games are on gamepass and have been on ps plus. On console, even BFN has players
You better believe Plants vs Zombies won’t stay down, this is my favorite franchise and it has so much potential, the only thing holding it back is EA or the pop cap leadership who does not see the potential of it and us not greenlight products to see is potential realize like there was plans to make a somewhat open world plan for a plan for zombie game and maybe a movie and they canceled both, stupid.
i play Gw1 from 2014/15 up until 2017, played for like 3 years straight every day, and havent played since. i thought i heared the servers were meant to go off years ago
if BfN had variants I would 100% play it over GW2 bc of running visuals and all QoL upgrades, I get the idea behind their removal, they are too grindy harder to balance and some even repetitive and sometimes a variant is just useless/a downgrade compared to another, however they breath so much life into the game and replayability
nah the bfn visuals are so weird and dry compared to the 2 ogs. Also I actually don’t like running cuz it encourages running away in the middle of a match (using an ability to do that AT LEAST puts you in a disadvantage unlike sprinting. Also the maps and single player are trash (in my opinion)

I hope PopCap and EA eventually get a team to revive the GW games. Hell, even a successor to BFN would make me happy at this point. But PopCap is WAYYYYY smaller than they were, and PopCap Vancouver who designed the shooters are literally non-existent now, which sucks. The amount of times theyre promoting and putting the shooters on sale SPECIFICALLY is very interesting though, especially now that they seem to be seperate from regular sales of all EA games on steam
I played gw2 a shit ton when I got it on console in 2017. It was really fun and once I got a pc. I got the game on PC so I could make the game look even better with mods and stuff.
I wouldve loved nbv if they had my boy Popscorn and the other variants, thats the only thing holding it back (And maybe that awkward creepy artstyle, especially the peashooters)

Console servers are doing good. Before it would typically be half full to somewhat empty with the rare full match. Recently almost every single match has been full
Gnome bomb can drive a man to insanity. I remember playing a match witha friend what went 40 minutes into overtime and both teams were going crazy. There were SO many dummy shields around the point you couldn't physically reach it.
Shame that my baby GW1 isn't on steam. I love the game and I massively prefer it over the latter games, but since it's a decade old at this point, you can imagine that there aren't too many players left... Still, at certain times you can still get full lobbies (at least where I live) and that's just talking about PC, the game's weakest platform!
I wish pvz3 was good… Hopefully it will be someday considering the devs are finally listening But to answer the question yes every pvz game prior to 3 hold up pretty well

GW2 on PlayStation is doing all right I can always find a game no matter what time and I showed the game to 2 of my friends and they liked it so much that they bought it and are constantly playing it and my other friend is also tempted to get it so people are starting to buy and we also had a sale on PlayStation and it definitely has brought more players
You wanted to know how it is on console yeah? Well most people play this game on xbox, and im certain of it. The first device gw2 came on, was xbox on February 23rd 2016. Though i think playstation may have more but i might be wrong. But this is seriously one of the only games where xbox has the majority playerbase.

(fuck off youtube comment filters) The game got a lot jankier and less polished after they released Modern Day Part 2 and had massive lay offs in 2017 (they also removed like half the OST for storage space bruh). With Android or a PC running an Android emulator such as BlueStacks you can download old versions of the game (I would recommend version 5.0.1).
(this is meant to be the last part of the comment but who knows what will youtube allow me to send) Another way would be to just install a popular mod called Reflourished. The premise of Reflourished is that its primarily like an expansion mod to the old PvZ 2 the way it was in 2016 with all of the original adventure content basically intact but with quality of life changes and a bunch of custom extra content like new custom worlds and some bonus levels for the worlds.

The console server have always been really populated at least for us west you can find about 15-30 different games for just turf and tdm about 10-15
i want to say that US east has been carrying me for the past 2 weeks, in the morning US west's ping is stable, but as later it gets, the ping increases while US east remains solid throughout the day.
If you think gw2 is slow paced without sprinting you should learn to bean jump and the superhero jump those tecs fixed the issue for me, in my opinion with the way they implemented sprinting it took away from the characters that could move faster in the previous game but with some changes it could have been really good
Console servers for gw2 are still pretty active. I can usually find games during the day.
I play on Xbox one and I’m getting games of every mode in about 20 secs max the servers are usually full or almost full too
i have played a lot of Graden Warfare and Garden Warfare 2 when I wase young. I loved the charm that the games had and still play it some times.
GW1 Is still my favorite one, the weird surreal artstyle is at its best there, and the maps are really fun to play on.

BfN is my favorite on the series out of the 3 Ive played since each released, but BfN is pretty "decently" alive on Switch. Theres a pretty dedicated niche playerbase of level 3000s that play actively, lobbies arent too long of a wait time, and 16 player matches end up with more than half of the lobby being real players. There are even usually just 6 or more people just casually messing around in the hub PvP area.
I am a console player, and the servers on the console edition for PvZ gw2 and battle for Neighborville are doing amazing

Ea has gotta make garden warfare 3 without any consumables that force you to pay to win. Like GW2 but this time add BFN characters with variants, use the same game models from gw2, add more variants(Goat and stump), add exclusive characters (Chester chopper, Berry shooter, and citrus cactus),bosses as spawn able bot zombies, and have all maps from previous game modes(ex: for gardens and graveyards have walnut hills, Seeds of time)
For bfn, in order to play gnome bomb, you need to wait for the 3rd online play mode to switch to it. There's only 3 so that the players are more concentrated, which is why its easier to get into lobbies. You can't really have both.

i play Gw1 from 2014/15 up until 2017, played for like 3 years straight every day, and havent played since. i thought i heared the servers were meant to go off years ago
if BfN had variants I would 100% play it over GW2 bc of running visuals and all QoL upgrades, I get the idea behind their removal, they are too grindy harder to balance and some even repetitive and sometimes a variant is just useless/a downgrade compared to another, however they breath so much life into the game and replayability
nah the bfn visuals are so weird and dry compared to the 2 ogs. Also I actually don’t like running cuz it encourages running away in the middle of a match (using an ability to do that AT LEAST puts you in a disadvantage unlike sprinting. Also the maps and single player are trash (in my opinion)
@@Halls141 visuals yeah its mostly preference, id say running is good bc returning to the action at least feels faster and sometimes in like gardens and graveyards returning is so lo g you use abilities to return, while i do agree mid combat running is kinda wack, i honestly dont care for either single player that much but I feel bfn is more polished

I hope PopCap and EA eventually get a team to revive the GW games. Hell, even a successor to BFN would make me happy at this point. But PopCap is WAYYYYY smaller than they were, and PopCap Vancouver who designed the shooters are literally non-existent now, which sucks. The amount of times theyre promoting and putting the shooters on sale SPECIFICALLY is very interesting though, especially now that they seem to be seperate from regular sales of all EA games on steam
I played gw2 a shit ton when I got it on console in 2017. It was really fun and once I got a pc. I got the game on PC so I could make the game look even better with mods and stuff.

Console servers are doing good. Before it would typically be half full to somewhat empty with the rare full match. Recently almost every single match has been full

Gnome bomb can drive a man to insanity. I remember playing a match witha friend what went 40 minutes into overtime and both teams were going crazy.
There were SO many dummy shields around the point you couldn't physically reach it.
Think i got my record kill count of 98 in GB. I know some people absolutely urinate on that number but damn i was proud of it lol

turf in my opinion is the best mode (not including mixed because it all modes) and it grants most coins try it out
GW2 on PlayStation is doing all right I can always find a game no matter what time and I showed the game to 2 of my friends and they liked it so much that they bought it and are constantly playing it and my other friend is also tempted to get it so people are starting to buy and we also had a sale on PlayStation and it definitely has brought more players
You wanted to know how it is on console yeah? Well most people play this game on xbox, and im certain of it. The first device gw2 came on, was xbox on February 23rd 2016. Though i think playstation may have more but i might be wrong. But this is seriously one of the only games where xbox has the majority playerbase.
