2k25 is the last 2k I'll ever buy. I only bought it because I found a random $50 gift card around the house. I hate almost every aspect of this game - from needing to grind or pay to increase your player's rating just to be able to enjoy the game, to the toxicity of playing online. 2k won't ever change because they have a big enough player base that they can siphon money from them year after year.

A literally remember me in my cousin. Playing twos on 2k19 and literally making extra builds because we had so much VC with nothing to spend it on. And now they have taken away every Avenue To make VC other than using real money

At least 2k has a good game buried under all the greed madden doesnt even have that but both games suffer from the same thing lack of competition and microtransactions

2k25 is the first 2k i bought since 16/17 and i play exclusively MyNBA/MyGM. I don't do anything that needs VC and hopefully VC will never touch the MyNba/MyGM mode.

lol I feel old I started playing 2k when it literally was just 2k wit Ai on the cover & I always loved 2k more than live(live 05 I did get over 2k5 lol) but after 2k went to ps4 I never fw them again. Shit just always felt clunky & slow on new gen consoles or if the pace sped up it be too fast for the animations to run properly shit trash. Too focused on graphics.

On top of all the issues this game has and the inflated cost to play it, It’s the same game every year. They shouldn’t put out games every year. It’s stupid, ridiculous, and redundant.

2k is a series that I can only purchase and get into every few years

I'd been seeing "Being a DIK" in my steam recommends for ages. Didn't know why, I hadn't played any AO games, or any Visual Novel genre (adult or otherwise), yet there it was. I always scrolled past it... not because I'm against the adult content or anything, I just never saw the point of the AVN genre. So I scrolled by. And it kept popping up. Finally, one day (after Season 2 had been completely released), I said hell with it and picked up the first season to see why the hell Steam was constantly trying to shove it down my throat. I had never laughed so hard for so long in my life. Those first couple episodes had me in stitches the entire way through. Sure, the lewd scenes are... well... lewd. But the level of writing going on was right up there with Animal House and Revenge of the Nerds level comedy. Just couldn't stop. Once I quit out from the first play session, I didn't wait to finish out the first season, just immediately bought Season 2. I still don't do a whole lot of them. I checked out College Kings... it was ok, but the characters are fairly two dimensional, if that. It's still a decent story. Similar for a couple others I've picked up. Decent stories, just never rose to that same level. I know there's some other good ones out there to try. But yeah. I think we all have the same kind of thought process, even for those not really troubled by the idea of a pr0n game. But it's still, you know, a pr0n game. You aren't really expecting a whole lot out of it. Then you have that one that just takes you on an absolute journey. Sometimes, far better than a lot of the major titles that are being put out these days.

Yeah I got it agree with you that VC prices are outrageous! Used to be you could buy this game for 20 to 25 bucks and have fun Now even if it’s on a holiday if you wanna unlock the special features it’s gonna be about 70 bucks and if you want to build your character it’s more than $50 worth of VC it’s about $75-$100 I like to grind out guy and build him up but it takes about three seasons it’s really frustrating for the gamers And they hardly give you any VC per game too so that’s the other problem

I can’t even fault 2k for the VC system. You can’t blame a company who is better than anyone else by miles to leave money on the table. The only way it stops is if someone challenges 2k with another game. Which unfortunately is very unlikely.

I don’t think ea making a rival game will change anything. Micro transactions is the name of the game. Every big franchises is like digital casinos. Ea run the same show for madden and fifa. Call of duty same shit. They will use ai to benefit the wales (people who spend money). They manipulate every part of the game to make sure those who are spending money will keep spending money. Game franchises are casino’s now. It’s a new day the game will cater to high rollers just like a casino will. They will never care about the game modes that they can’t monetize from. They have investors to make happy every quarter. Games aren’t made to have fun anymore there made to squeeze money and find high rollers.

Actually, the same NBA 2k11 was what got me into basketball, together with my ps3. Coach mode was also on demon timing too, the devs were better then In my opinion.

It's never going to work out because of the culture that surrounds it. 2K players view it as a mark of wealth. The idea being that if you can't justify spending money on a game. You must be broke. Therefore, you're a loser. That's the setup and 2K has known this since day one. A competitor coming on the scene would only mean cheaper micro transactions. The standard has already been set. If you want these games to get better. The culture's mindset will have to shift toward a substanced and balanced experience. Instead of a materially driven dick measuring contest. We all know that isn't going to happen.

I'm starting yo eatch my watch later list because it reached its limit. I'm sorry I didn't watch it before. I'll probably play the game someday 😮

NBA 2K 25 All-Star edition was almost $100. I wasn’t going to get it but I saw the sale for $42. I had to get it. It’s a win for me. I’ll get used to the game.😅

I used to get 2k on the weekends out of the Redbox back in high school for the ps3 then I would buy the game used during the summer until I graduated lol

I miss 2k15 and 2k16. Easily my two favorite 2k games and it’s a shame they keep getting worse and worse and worse
