The VC prices are outrageous, and the VC earned without spending money is laughable. They will never change their ways because kids will still spend their money on Vc no matter what.
I started my 60-99 grind a couple days ago. Once you get past like an 80 attribute point you have to play multiple 30 minute games to up grade 1 point. This should be illegal forcing people to spend money to play a game they paid for
@@DimeszTVthey found that loophole, technically you are not forced to spend. It sucks, and he is right, they need a competitor. Otherwise we just gotta move on and fucking not play a basketball video game.
im trying to make it to 99 this year without spending any money. i havent done this since 2k20. im currently at a 78 ovr despite having done whatever i can to earn vc as efficiently as possible. how is upgrading a player this expensive its unreal
Someone kept telling me to get my money up , and I’m broke because I was a 71 overall wanting to grind and was having fun doing it, I as well was shooting better in general and generally was playing better then that guy at a 71 overall mind you he’s already bought plenty of vc and 91 overall 😭😭😭..,
I tried to go no money spent but it takes wayyyyyy too long earning VC in that game they only give you a little. So I ended up buying $50 worth of VC to get me to a 91. The thing is I had to be around the overall of my friends to even play with them. Nobody in the park tryna play with low overalls sadly
When it's free to play then I'll consider 2k25 other than that 2k can kick rocks in flip flops 😂 and even if they do decide to make it free still not spending money on any VC idc how long it takes to get my ovr up 🤷🏾♂️
The 2k community is a laughing stock to the general gaming community. They are playing a sports game that is pay to win. That in itself defeats the purpose. But the worst part is the 100’s of dollars they spend year after year on a subpar product. These people are delusional.
@@Mycarisloose micro transactions, and casino game mechanics, can be devastating for the youth and those that get addicted. Of course there are things that could be more damaging like heroin, or war. But the subject of this video is how the quality of a franchise has fallen, and its effect on gamers. So what’s your point?
As an offline player, the biggest issue for me is the blatant cheating and scripting by the computer. The computer hits every shot, contested or not, and it doesn't matter who shoots it. The devs are incompetent so they designed the computer to cheat in order to beat you. It's frustrating as hell.
I have no hope for 2k anymore. The franchise is beyond repair in my opinion. The community ruined it by buyin vc and complaining about features that make the game fun cus they want a “competitive” game. 2k peaked at 16 for me. EA could literally jus make another street game and blow 2k out the water. They don’t even need the nba license. There were made up characters in nba street. And u could make ur own created player. All they need to do is add an online mode where u can go against real people. They already got the license for the real life parks. If EA don’t do it I hope another company will.
@@Rr-j4x Online features are real in game features wat are u talkin bout?? And nba street had an offline story mode so they can implement that too. The point is EA could dominate wit making a street game over makin a nba game cus they failed at that too many times.
NBA Street did have NBA players though, in addition to the fictional players designed for the game (who were often based on real NBA Players- see Stretch (Dr. J).
@@jeangentry6656 I kno they did but I said they can drop the nba license cus let’s be honest park players don’t care bout the nba portion. If they renew the nba license coo but it’s not necessary imo.

There are better games but like he said there is no other realistic looking basketball game with real licensed players if your somebody that just enjoys the sport this all you got
The VC is fine, but the prices are just too damn high, and it requires too much VC to do everything in the game. Not to mention, most of the grinding in the game comes after spending alot of money, and that’s just ranking up the seasons. Not even for getting cosmetic stuff as 2k makes that impossible given the in-game payouts.
“2K doesn’t make a good product” = buys game and spends money on a slightly different player each year. Games people consider bad shouldn’t keep selling. 2K doesn’t need a competitor, their customers need to stop being sheep. They’re getting slaughtered.
this doesn't work for companies with a monopoly. theres no other option so anyone who wants to play a basketball game with friends or even single players has to buy the game for the new rosters ect. 2K DOES need a competitor because they have all the customers and the customers have no options so they have to buy the game to play basketball
@youngfleat I mean mycareer does suck every year. Only thing that’s even decent is park. But even that’s not worth getting into because it cost so much to build a player.
I smile when I watch videos like this, because I haven’t bought 2k at full price in 3 years now. I buy it when the price drops to $20 and play offline modes. People, get back to single player modes. I understand wanting to play park and rec, but it’s not that deep. Offline modes can be fun just playing solo. The game is super arcade now when it comes to park and rec anyway. Can’t even call it a sim anymore. On top of it all, the community online is toxic. Everybody so sweaty. Nobody just chill and play casual.
Ain’t no game fun to play offline, everybody like playing online with other people, only the super old heads like playing solo only offline games, just being honest here
@@radezgmrg6688 I’m a “super old head”, yall new gen so desperate to play online that you’re willing to bend over and take a rod every year. Game studios have gotten richer than ever before because yall lack the willpower to stop playing a game, even when you’re being financially abused. Y’all so desperate to play online to your own detriment.
I'm 38 years old and have been playing 2k since the very first one. The series used to be legendary. It's sad to watch the money-hungry tactics become more and more egregious. I stopped buying 2k when 2k20 came out. I returned in 2k24 because my friend said the game was better. It wasn't. Then 2k25 came out and I saw the removed player control. So I didn't buy the most recent iteration. I probably won't buy the game again because I just want to play basketball, I don't want to have to make a build, etc.
I haven’t bought 2k since 2k16. At that time paying for VC was crazy to me. The best part of the game to me was the grind of MyPlayer and MyGM. Paying for VC outside of getting the legends edition was frowned upon in my circles. The fact that so many people now buy VC so regularly is ridiculous. As a kid I wasn’t even allowed to buy dlc or add ons.
A pay to play live service game that expire after a year should be illegal. Thats what NBA2k is. They release a game, give you incentives to buy VC early so you can jump in online right away AND THEN patch a few things, including builds you paid with your money. They essentially are stealing money by changing things throughout the year. The fanbase is chasing metas, so if you really want to be competitive you’ll have to adjust and leave behind a build you paid for. Not only that, if you made a build and stuck with it the whole year they won’t let your VC transfer to the next game. You have literally no incentive to grind, you will lose everything down the line.
i mean less than 10$ a month per year for each 2k is less than lots of MMOs if you were to put the 100$ over 12 months . they could totally do that and make it update every year
Why go F2P or B2P when there's no competition? They will keep the Yearly Release (with minimal improvements) business model. Personally I just buy the game every 4 years. Play with friends (couch play) or Seasons.
@@1ajgtwm ik im well aware. like i said, they're too greedy for that. it's definitely more consumer friendly. i understand they have no competition so they have no reason to do so. yeah they'll lose money on the sales but let's not act like they don't generate billions per year. Atp, you're just paying a yearly subscription to the same game. Even worse, losing the online functionality of older titles once 2 years pass is just straight up corpo greed
If there was any other basketball game, I'd never even think of buying this scam ever again. Live 19 was on the right track, online play was really cool to compete. I'd say that 2K25 in offline mode is quite enjoyable gameplay wise, but that's about it. I never bought VC's, I try to grind with my player, but obviously, at some point it just gets frustrating that everything good have a price, and the fact they give 60 overall player to start with is just crazy. No 60 overall players enter the draft or gets the hype, lol.
This my 1st year not buying. Tired of spending VC, putting in mad work to get my player maxed out only for September to roll around and do it again. I’m over it
Bro by like April or so normally all the homies and shit are kinda done with it anyway.. idk bout you but I don’t ever even play with myplayer the whole year really not worth
I've given up on buying yearly released games. CoD and 2k are jokes at this point. Just cash grabs, and they won't stop until people stop buying them. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see them budge for at least another 5-10 years. As long as enough people are buying the game, and the VC, they'll continue to release games yearly and barely, if ever, listen to the community.
It's because people have gotten too lazy to actually build their skill to become good. New logic is to just throw money at it and instantly have a 96 ovr. 2K noticed the trend and cashed in on it. I miss the days where everyone was perfecting their player by playing the game and earning it. Now it's just boring. These same people think their good because they spend money on vc. They're the equivalent to those who buy supercars but have no clue how to drive it. No skill anymore. Take away their vc and 1v1 them, they're trash.
I don’t even need another NBA Game i just want another Basketball Game , maybe with some cameos by nba or former nba players and not just a street basketball game but a full-fledged basketball game with Franchise, Career mode, Online, Team Creation and all that , just exclude the NBA license and focus on good fluid gameplay and you have a great competitor to 2K
My rule of thumb is if I paid for the game, I ain't paying more. But I didn't pay for the game, I'll pay in the game.... I actually spent a decent amount of money in free to play games because they deserves it. Or if ur constantly adding new content, then I might consider it
I don't play MC when buying 2k basketball. I just love playing quick game and MyNBA or myteam and play with my friends. I don't do online play so for me 2K is good the graphics and gameplay is already good enough. But I agree that the VC is so expensive one of the reason I don't like playing MC because of too much grinding.
A 2k competitor would be real easy to kick start. Skip the NBA license. Just make a street ball themed game, with fake characters. Build the game engine to support sim style controls and moves, and let it sell. Once you get the profit rolling in, then you secure the license and make an official NBA game.
devs on roblox have done it for damn near a decade and have generated HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars any devs who see this listen to this man PLEASE, do not let 2k scare you bruh if small dev teams on roblox can make successful basketball games YOU CAN TOO

2k19 and 2k23 are the only 2Ks I’ve bought at launch since 2k12. When they introduced VC in 2k13 and you had to pay to unlock regular players on the blacktop, I was out. I’ve tried to justify paying for the game on sale and then buying vc until I get to the $70, but it’s unreal how awful of an experience 2K has become. It’s why I am in no rush for NFL 2k to come back if the license opens up. It’s also why we SHOULD NOT be excited for gta 6 😂.
I have been playing 2k since 2004. My last copy was 2k22. I thought about going back and was thinking about buying 2k25, then i came across this video. I think im good, this game is the same every year.
Because 2k is the only available option lol It's not the consumers fault. What people should have done was support NBA Live more. Now it's just 2k making NBA games.
Ultimately, consumers are to blame for this. People complain about this EVERY year and they pay for builds EVERY year. I think it’s like a gambling addiction. I don’t believe they can help it.
This is why I only buy the game on discount. Unfortunately, people kept buying vc . That action leads to bad behavior from Take 2/2K. Edit: On the size of the game size, i heard on another video. The reason for the large size is that you are least likely not to erase the game.
Normally I buy it around Black Friday or the Christmas season when it's normally around $35. I can't believe yesterday I went and bought 2K 25. It was on sale for $59.99 so I saved $10 but still I was shocked because normally when it comes to NBA 2K and Madden are only buy them around Black Friday or Christmas or when they are $35 or less. I still enjoy it the NBA 2K franchise because I'm a single player. Most other complaining that I hear about the game are people who play multiplayer and are forced into buying VC to compete online. I play single player quick play games so I don't buy microtransactions or VC.
I don't play NBA 2k, but I (used to) play FIFA and lot of what you say here is true about that game, too. Nothing is gonna change until people just stop buying these games.
I think the biggest thing that irks me is that the player base allows 2K to get away with things that in other games would literally KILL their game. Example: 1. Imagine if in COD, you spawned into a giant city and to play TDM, you had to ride a skateboard over to the “Gatorade TDM” building”. 2. Latency. How in 2024, can we not have a fluid online experience with a max of 10 PLAYERS. Battlefield can run 64 v 64, with tanks, planes, fighter jets, destructible environments at a smooth 60 FPS with almost no noticeable lag, but god forbid you hop into a REC game with 9 other people, you’ll have to deal with a half second to full second delay and people will defend it with “learn your shot timing”. 3. The fact that they kill all the old servers as soon as the new one comes out. Imagine if when Black Ops 6 drops, you can no longer play any Call of Duty prior. It’s outrageous. 4. VC. Honestly, I think the 115 hours is on the low end for normal people. At HOF difficulty, 12 min quarters, on a “Key Game”, you can maybe earn 1.6K VC. To upgrade my 3 ball to 89, cost me roughly 30K if not more. That’s 30 Games at LEAST, for one singular attribute. This game is compete trash.
@alexcarroll685 no. Your opinion is. Don't be a 2k fanboy. 2k has gotten worse and toxic fanboys like you who support their half assed games are part of the problem.
As an og gamer, i need the old myGM back. One where u manage a team for years. Not just playing time and salary cap but also morale/chemistry. Idgaf bout that online kid stuff. I prefer to play on my own.
Sports games need at least 2 studios with licensing rights to have some kind of competition. I’m getting tired of EA football and 2K basketball without any other options…
It don’t need to even be associated with the NBA. Just needs a similar basketball game like 2ks multiplayer. Give the animations generic names, allow ppl to customize their players, let them go and hoop on courts like the park/gym and call it a day.
No it definitely needs to be associated with the NBA or it won’t sell. There’s a reason that Madden is still successful despite multiple different companies making football games till this day.
@@Crackdealerfr idk I haven’t seen a football game since 2k was making them. I think if the gameplay is good ppl will still play. Live had the NBA but the mechanics with the game were bad so it failed.
How could someone spent so much money on a game where servers only lasts 1 to 2 years and all your grinding, money and effort would just be wasted . Unlike other games that would last a decade or so. Damn.
This game is just NOT FUN. I don’t even want to play in the park anymore and when the NBA part of the game is ass you know the game sucks. I am done buying this shit
Great video! Basketball is my 4th favourite sport and typically only buy 2K at the end of the NBA season. One thing I can't stand about 2K is how, despite having a physical copy of the game, it will take up almost double the hard drive space as NHL or EA FC.
I got all the NBA 2ks correct because I saw upper left as and right shot meter And the figured out the style of the bottom ones. (and no I don't play nor even own none of the 2ks I just remembered from the 10 minutes I once played these game... Except 22 I loved playing that one)
Another huge problem is that NBA players endorse the game. Imagine if LeBron James said he wasn’t playing 2k or providing his likeness until they cut microtransactions and actually improve gameplay. The next day we’d be hearing about layoffs and Take Two “changing their strategy” for how they make games. The problem is, LeBron James is a billionaire. He could put money into this game every day for a year and wouldn’t even notice it in his bank account
A change id like to see is that your MyPlayer be able to be transferred to the next game, your badges go to bronze but if you were a 99 you get a x2 you can place on whatever badges you like and you get a VC discount at the start of the game maybe for like the first week. Something that simple would make it smooth to me. Because seeing people spend mad cash on builds only to have to do it again is wild and imo unfair.
@@MR.__G NBA live you can do a 96 overall glitch and max out every build literally in seconds. No way I'm grinding for months when I can just do it for free
I understand your point about it being very expensive and difficult to compete with 2k when EA bowed out. At this point from the reviews I have seen and the way I feel the past 5 years playing, if a start up that at least came close to the game play but actually listened to the people buying the game, it may not happen overnight but either 2k will change drastically to win or the new game will start taking chunks of their profit. Something has to change and until there is another game that fans can play, this will only get worse year to year.
You’re missing the point entirely. Does a redesigned shot meter and adrenaline bar make it an entirely new game?? $70 for a new shot meter?? Goodness gracious
Maximum Football gives me hope that one day, either them or someone else will do what they are doing with basketball. Community focus is important and easier than ever before to connect with that community.
i hate ppl who or creators who literally will dog on 2k all year before it drops just to be first one to buy the new game. or ppl who say “im buying it for content” yeah okay buddy just say you love the game
the biggest issue is not being able to continue your grind in the following years.. like why would we have to create a whole new player each and every damn year they need to figure something out where we can keep our progress and then still strive for more
The community should come together like really come together and force them to change shit but everyone says there sick and tired of how 2k is and how tired they are of 2k treating the community that build them the way they do so if everyone is really tired we should come together like a community and put it to the end and you got streamers how here dropping thousands on new myteam drops and than you got kids with mommy and daddy money so that’s why they stay the way they do cause there’s people that still spend money on opening packs or creating multiple my players
Never gon happen. The 2k community too far gone. They don’t even kno wat they want. They say “I’m not buyin the game this year” and fold right before the game comes out. They don’t care enough not to buy the game. They’re content with buyin it and complaining. It’s a mix of fomo (fear of missin out) and havin hope the game will be good again.
@@Cameo96_ I think I would rather miss out and just expect for it to be ass I mean you can’t believe UA-camrs cause 2k in there pockets so whatever UA-camrs say is irrelevant and total bs so I would rather just miss out instead of getting finessed
The actual problem for 2k is the actual community !! They always find ways to find exploits and play a way the game wasn’t designed to be played. Speed boosters and dribble cheesers have always been the worst part of 2k. They actually aren’t good enough to find ways to create space so they find exploits and then to tutorials on UA-cam. Always with these jumpshot/build meta’s. That’s why you’ll see same players with the same animations everywhere. The game works perfectly fine when it’s played how it’s intended to… The people who don’t know how to play basketball are the ones who ruin the online experience. Everything else you said doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. You don’t have to pay for vc, just grind.. and if you don’t have time that’s why vc is there
Yeah but without people buying the game or spending money on VC everyone could Grind without having less time, when 2K would remove the paywall with VC and Editions
So why yall keep playing it ? This year I refuse to buy that crap and make them more money while the game continues to suck. Wish more people were more on board
Haven't bought a 2k since 18, but thats the thing that sucks about a monopoly there isnt much we can really do besides not buy their shitty booty ass product
Greedy is an understatement. Remember when they introduced the "Season Pass" and how u could pay to skip levels? Well in 24 i think it cost 40 dollars to skip to the end of the season pass. Now it cost 80 plus dollars and they have locked Badge Progression behind it. Making it absolutely Pay to Win
2K is doing what many other studios with microtransactions do, but what sets them apart is how they design the core gameplay loop, include user-generated content, and build on their established legacy. Like any successful product, the game creates a structured experience that keeps players engaged by delivering small bursts of satisfaction, keeping them coming back for more. These bursts of satisfaction, or dopamine hits, can come from simple things like visuals, sounds, or rewards. When you log into 2K25 for the first time, the game walks you through how to open packs and claim rewards, all while giving you these small dopamine boosts. Players don’t even realize it’s happening, but when they stop playing, they feel the urge to jump back in and repeat the process.
2K hides behind Madden. It’s so bad over there that it actually makes 2K look good. People forget that they are just as greedy as EA, but they actually know how to make a good career mode and game. There is zero chance however that they will bring back skill points instead of VC. It makes them too much money 💰 that’s how you know it’s become cash with repeat consumers over improving and innovating.
i remember 2k back in the day man where it was just fun balanced and the park wasnt over saturated you could actually have a good time as a brown shirt and actually perform well if your stats were good against good comp
They had competition. NBA Live, remember. Y'all ran it out of town. Now you're reaping the rewards of your actions as 2k fleeces you. Good job!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
You're a fool. It got "ran out of town" because it wasn't good enough. It was more animation driven than 2k with a weaker career mode, weaker customizations and an especially weaker franchise mode. Don't throat a billion dollar corporation for their incompetent products
But it’s not the consumer’s fault that ea just couldn’t make a great basketball game, as bad of a game as 2k18 was , ea couldn’t even compete with that, live 19 was cool but nowhere near 2k19, we the consumer didn’t run live out of town they did it to themselves
Big facts. NBA live come out & people just kept finding ways to trash in favor of 2k & now we’re stuck with this game only because we want our basketball fix!!
Thing is, 2k could be an amazing game if it wasn't for greed. Every single bad decision made by the devs over the years was primarily influenced by greed - making it more and more difficult and annoying for a f2p player to progress. 23 was the last playable 2k imo, mycareer grind was long but doable. In 24 you literally can't even play mycareer with a rating below 70, you just get pushed around like a little kid. Not to mention that 24 had like half the content 23 did. I was hoping to at least play some myteam on 24 since I didn't want to bother with mycareer and guess what... They removed the fucking auction house, CAPPED MT REWARDS???? Their greed is reaching levels of insanity.
@@spokenwordnawledge Do you play MyLeague/Assoc mode? If you did, then you'd know that nothing has changed since like 2k14 or sum shit. They only update the aspects of the game that make them money.
Its than ppl think. I stopped playing 2K after 2K18 Because they I noticed that they were decreased the Amount of VC you won for winning games in All-Star Team Up & In Rec. You use to win 1000 VC for winning the game with an A+ Team mate score. We usually just mindlessly play so you could go through 20 30 games a night easy. It was easy to build VC by playing the game. That's how it should be. But then they dropped winnings down to a low level making you have to spend money on VC. It's predatory! And its crazy that ppl don't realize or just don't care enough.
Yall steady complaining about 2k and yet yall still buy it over and over again, stop buying it and that will force 2k to do better... i haven't bought 2k since 2k14😂😂😂
I started in 2k14 and got up to 88 ovr before they shut down the servers without ever buying vc. All the way through 2k16 I got to 88 as well without it. Now in 2k24 I spent probably $100 on VC to only get to 90 ovr and my player can only shoot! The price of 3pt alone is insane. And Start Today is my favorite mode and the ENTIRE season on ps4 it said “not yet available” when you tried to play it. Terrible, terrible cooperation
And this is the reason that since 2k21 i don't even play mycareer but i create a draft class, make myself into a rookie and add myself into the draft for the upcoming year and then I adjust all the attributes and badges (I've played as a 7'5 center with 99 3pt shooting). I used to play mycareer when there was actual story and they assigned you to team/university but last one I picked where i want to go and i started the games as a 58 ovr ahead of Kyrie. I at least had to grind some games to get in the 1st squad ahead of Steven Adams back in 2k14...
NBA 2K25 has been pretty disappointing for me. The server outages happen way too often, and the virtual currency feels overpriced. The graphics are okay but not really much of an improvement, and I keep running into bugs that mess up the experience. It feels like they’re relying too heavily on microtransactions, and rewards don’t even feel worth it. Plus, the MyCareer mode is way too linear, the AI isn’t smart, and sometimes the menus and interface are just clunky and hard to use.
They need REC leagues in game that cater towards the lower overalls so they can grind respectfully in peace and still be able to enjoy the game. There's alot 2K could do to make things run smoother and enjoyable but since every time the game drops we go out and buy it plus spend coin on the VC they have no reason for them to stop their current model or implement changes that benefit the consumer.
Thank certain "content creators" for this happening. I quit playing after 2k15. I've retired from 2k. All my friends play this trash, I HAD to distance myself from them. If they want to waste money, I won't be involved.
Yup. I agree 100% with everything you said. As a long-time 2K player myself, I can confirm that I did not buy a full-price NBA 2k game, for the last 10 years. I wait until price drops under 30$ and then I play the roster updater. Every year, I hope for some big update, like an option to change a haircut on every player (from a huge haircut database), or to fully edit body types... Or maybe, to be able to add a custom face (not scanned one), edit teams jerseys, names, arenas, etc. Option to create a dunk/layup animations, etc. I rarely play online so I never drop a single $ for a VC. Yeah, 2k is a greedy bastard, but with no competition an a horizon, we are peep with them for now. People are stupid and will spend their money on in-game currencies (see a mobile games), and they are counting on this.
honestly, the cost of the license for the NBA players is such an overrated factor in the barrier to make a competitor basketball game. Anyone that plays the park or the rec in 2k has no interaction with that license whatsoever since they just make their own player anyways. If EA or another company just made a park/ rec game that didn't cost 250$ to have a few 'myplayers' I'm sure people would flock to it, no license required.
Spending $500 on a game is ridiculous. With that kind of money you can pay rent in my country. Even if I do have such money to spend I have my priorities straight and even paying $70 for a game is too much for me. Especially if it's 2k cuz this game ain't worth it it's price comparing to RDR2 for example where RDR2 is fucking amazing and worth every penny
I only play MyNBA and buy when it inevitably goes for $20 on Christmas, its so unfortunate that NBA 2K has the best Franchise mode in all sports games.
The VC prices are outrageous, and the VC earned without spending money is laughable. They will never change their ways because kids will still spend their money on Vc no matter what.

If EA don’t do it I hope another company will.
real in game features are more important the online features.
@@Rr-j4x Online features are real in game features wat are u talkin bout?? And nba street had an offline story mode so they can implement that too. The point is EA could dominate wit making a street game over makin a nba game cus they failed at that too many times.

I probably won't buy the game again because I just want to play basketball, I don't want to have to make a build, etc.
dang unc
Last sentence is crazy, wanna just ball not make a build that stuff lwk an effort now
I haven’t bought 2k since 2k16.
This series can easily be a F2P model but T2 is too greedy for that
EXACTLY
i mean less than 10$ a month per year for each 2k is less than lots of MMOs if you were to put the 100$ over 12 months . they could totally do that and make it update every year
Why go F2P or B2P when there's no competition?
They will keep the Yearly Release (with minimal improvements) business model.
Personally I just buy the game every 4 years. Play with friends (couch play) or Seasons.
Why should they lose money on game sales tho, they will never do that
@@1ajgtwm ik im well aware. like i said, they're too greedy for that. it's definitely more consumer friendly. i understand they have no competition so they have no reason to do so.
yeah they'll lose money on the sales but let's not act like they don't generate billions per year.
Yup. Either separate the two or make it make sense. Not to mention your 99 builds would put you around 75 compared to other NBA players.

They even killed Team Up. Legit no way to play with multiple people at once unless you fork up more money with MyPlayer.

2K use to be FUN. They cared about basketball...now its money...JUST money

I wait for about 6 months until it goes into the bargain bin for about $20 bucks
I don't play NBA 2k, but I (used to) play FIFA and lot of what you say here is true about that game, too.
Nothing is gonna change until people just stop buying these games.
Same here been into fifa since the first edition on the sega mega drive
I think the biggest thing that irks me is that the player base allows 2K to get away with things that in other games would literally KILL their game.
Example:

And the figured out the style of the bottom ones.

Believe it or not you can buy something for content and not like it.
the biggest issue is not being able to continue your grind in the following years.. like why would we have to create a whole new player each and every damn year they need to figure something out where we can keep our progress and then still strive for more
The community should come together like really come together and force them to change shit but everyone says there sick and tired of how 2k is and how tired they are of 2k treating the community that build them the way they do so if everyone is really tired we should come together like a community and put it to the end and you got streamers how here dropping thousands on new myteam drops and than you got kids with mommy and daddy money so that’s why they stay the way they do cause there’s people that still spend money on opening packs or creating multiple my players

Wait yall actually bought 2k25? No wonder the special ed classes are full this time of year.
You know what funny? We don't have to spend the money, it only out of competition. Players don't want to lose so you spend money, so you can compete
NBA live was ass bro
The MT gained in MyTEAM is so unbelievably low this year that it does not feel like I'm progressing at all
Once they stopped updating Assoc mode, I knew it was over..
They literally update it every year. It’s called eras mode now. But keep complaining about things that’s not even a real issue
@@spokenwordnawledge Do you play MyLeague/Assoc mode? If you did, then you'd know that nothing has changed since like 2k14 or sum shit. They update the gameplay for the online "gimme money" modes, but ignore the rest of the game. However sheep like you love the online modes so you dont realize nothing has actually changed. They only update the aspects of the game that make them money.
good video bro, agree with pretty much everything you said
I never buy vc but i always have fun idk why everyone acts like they need to buy vc to have fun
You maybe. I don’t like grinding
@@tommy90210_so that’s why there’s the option for vc for players like you who don’t like grinding.
This is why I stopped buying 2k
In 2 years since 2k23🤮😒😒
That’s understandable
Agreed so much. I think 2K 12 was my first, not too sure
Take two interactive needs competition, and that’s where I’ll come in.
I mainly play offline with my bro. We only get the game when it's on like 80% discount, with it inevitably will 6~7 months in.
Befroe i even watch this video, i just gotta say it costing 100$ to max your build to 99 is absolutely insane
Chris smoove entire life is based on 2k😅
He was the only guy that made playing 2k fun
100% agree. Not only the VC issue, but who the hell turns off servers for older versions?
honestly, the cost of the license for the NBA players is such an overrated factor in the barrier to make a competitor basketball game. Anyone that plays the park or the rec in 2k has no interaction with that license whatsoever since they just make their own player anyways. If EA or another company just made a park/ rec game that didn't cost 250$ to have a few 'myplayers' I'm sure people would flock to it, no license required.
Nba live needs to come back
Spending $500 on a game is ridiculous.
Imagine how much people will have to pay in GTA, not that people will care much.
But, bare in mind you need to spend 500 just to cop a PS5🥴
I only play MyNBA and buy when it inevitably goes for $20 on Christmas, its so unfortunate that NBA 2K has the best Franchise mode in all sports games.
First year sice 2k13 i havent purchased it and just steered away from micro transactions. Man so much fun just playing games with normal progression
All they have been doing over the years is making my career worse, the park less fun, and making dribbling the ball more complicated.
