The only thing i did different was put the washer on top with the new lug nut, to push down on the top bushing. If you look at the top of the strut it already has a metal peace for the bottom bushing.
Great video thank you! That being said, my Monroe OS spectrum shock came with no plate for the bottom rubber bushing. I can’t reuse either bushing plate off my original equipment because the bottom one is welded on, and the upper one is a different thread pattern and the upper metal cup nut is welded on. I left the top of the shock underside of wheel well with only the rubber bushing and no cup plate. I’ll be calling them in the morning to figure out what’s supposed to happen
Thanks for making this video. Will be tackling this job on my Taurus in the coming days. Along with replacing the toe links.

Very good video. I was looking for ford Taurus rear shocks. This was perfect, simple and clear. My rear was noisy, so I did both. Thanks
Excellent, glad I could assist.

Im curious as to how long this job took? 2 hours? Or? Thanks
great video -looking for front strut video of same quality
After nearly 3 years, how have the TRQ shocks held up?
What were your torque specifications when installing the new shocks?
You should do some 2004 X5 videos.
the top nit spins,,,,so it doesn't come off ass easy as in your video. Had to hold tip with small vice grip and turn nut with open end wrench. Pain
Good video
