    hello. I have Pathfinder 4.0 2010. The gearbox has a delayed gear only in D-drive, 2-3 seconds. At the same time, there is a hissing sound in the gearbox for 2-3 seconds. The oil has been changed. I don't know about the oil filter, we haven't checked. Could it be the valve body or filter that can have such a problem?

    Great video thank you! That being said, my Monroe OS spectrum shock came with no plate for the bottom rubber bushing. I can’t reuse either bushing plate off my original equipment because the bottom one is welded on, and the upper one is a different thread pattern and the upper metal cup nut is welded on. I left the top of the shock underside of wheel well with only the rubber bushing and no cup plate. I’ll be calling them in the morning to figure out what’s supposed to happen

    The entire video is too dark, more light is really needed to make it more visible. I had a different problem with my Accord's master cylinder but it requires a replacement anyway. The Brake Light was on in my car even if the fluid level was fine. The problem was the float inside the reservoir was stuck, and it sent the wrong signal to the dash. However, you can't just change the reservoir, you have to change the entire brake master cylinder! I think using the master cylinder bleeding kit with the hoses are better than this method but in a pinch, this will work too. I don't think it works as well, as he still see a lot of air coming out of the lines. Make sure that all the lines are bled to get rid of the air out of the entire system. I would crack loose the lines but removing the nuts that hold the master cylinder to the firewall first before opening the lines. This way, you can quickly remove the master cylinder when the lines are open. I'd also put the nuts on the master cylinder first before connecting the lines, make it much easier. And No, you can't bring it to the shop for them to bleed it for you, it is dangerous to drive this car to the shop if it has air in the brake system. It is best to bleed it out all the brake calipers and complete the job or bring the car to the shop before changing out the master cylinder if you don't think you can do it.

    I will NEVER use drilled and slotted rotors on a Michigan vehicle. We have RUST and rotors ROT like hell in Michigan. I remember using a CUT OFF wheel on the rotors on 2 Chevy Nova's just to remove them. You haven't lived until you cut a rotor off a vehicle because it wouldn't come off. Why would you do ANYTHING with the caliper doing a simple brake job. If the piston(s) hang up, or are difficult to press in with a C- Clamp or brake tool THEN you mess with the caliper. Sorry dude but your video is sad.

      @garasierra8886 A real wize guy huh? I just finished all 4 brakes on our Subaru chum. My Titan is next. I have been doing brake jobs since before you were probably born son. The only insult here is to yourself for making comments on someone you have no idea about. If anyone needs to stick to a Chiltons manual, it's you. Leave the professional work to the experienced folk son. Anyone can get a mechanics licence now days. A true mechanic takes YEARS to learn, and we never stop learning.

    How do you reinstall the nuts? The bolts are free floating and spin with the nut

    • @TheHamPimp
      @TheHamPimp Рік тому

      Grab with a small needle nose pliers/tweezers as high as you can, and spin on the nut as high as you can get it. Then, once you can grab the end of the bolt, spin the nut the rest of the way. Once you get it semi-tight, the head will catch and you won't need the pliers to torque it down.

    I can't thank you enough for this great video. I rode mine with a very minor noise (similar to yours, but not as loud) a little bit too long and was rewarded with some mashed threads on the shaft that the centrifugal oil catch is mounted upon. It was near a 5 hour job because of that but it would have been much longer without your very fine instructional video. Thanks again!
