    Good comparison between both 3733s I enjoyed the video, especially the 3733 that doesn't shake. That is a 1st for Lasko I wished they made them all like that. But that's just not the case with them all the time.

      This has definitely shocked me that there are box fans out there with good blade balance. I didn’t mention it but that blade is also quieter than the other crappy blades they use

      @@Fanscarsetc wow that’s good to know its seems like Lasko is slowly getting their act together hopefully this will continue that keep the blades and motor quieter and in perfect balance it’s about time

    Lasko really needs better quality control. The new Air King fans at my school are having trouble oscillating or not oscillating at all after only a few years of hanging.

    I believe Lasko may have started phasing in some new molds for new blades. The inner text has the Arial Rounded font on the glossier variant (which oddly has slightly more blade pitch, cool!) and a different font on the matte variant with less blade pitch than the glossier blades. I know this because I bought an Air King 9733 (which obviously has the 3733 blades), it had the glossy blade set with more pitch, and compared it on a huddled winding 3733 motor to a standard less pitched 3733 blade. They were slightly different in sound but look the same pitch-wise. It's nowhere near the weather-shield though.

      Speaking of the weather shields, i’ve noticed the older ones have a wider, more flower petal shape than the newer ones like mine which have a narrower diamond shape. Idk if the older ones move more air than the newer ones cause i haven’t tested an older weather shield yet, but i imagine they move much more air. I have noticed the glossier blade seems to be quieter and spins slower than the other blades, and spinning at the same rpm as other blades it moves a bit more air. The new blade molds will probably be a lot better than the current ones.

      @@Fanscarsetc I can't say for sure since I don't own an old weather shield, but my recalled 3700 certainly moves waaay more air than a modern weather-shield.
      Does the old weather shield in question have that "highly pronounced ring" in the center of the blade hub?

      @Fanscarsetc  10 днів тому

      @@sccpsteve Yes, the older petal blade-sets have the ring in the center, the newer ones don’t. I believe that blade was made up untill around 2013 because jordan has a 3720 from that era and it still has that blade.

      @@Fanscarsetc I was informed that all Laskos with a ring in the center are the equivalent power of a recalled box fan. I don't know if that's true but that's what I was told.

      @@sccpsteve I actually just watched one of Eli’s videos and apparently in 2003 or 04 the weather-shields moved to a similar blade as the ones today but i’m not sure if the pitch changed or not.

    Couldn't really observe any shake/vibration as you moved the camera around too much. The camera has to fixed on a mount and rock steady if you're going to film vibrations.

      Okay cool father, if you pay attention you can see when the fan on the right is running on low, it makes the other fan shake. It is undeniably out of balance

      You may see it, but I played your video several times to notice it before posting. Thanks for pointing it out, but it's extremely difficult to see with all that camera movement. Use studio production techniques to point out the little things, like I suggested earlier. It would make for a more convincing video. 😉
