This is the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, a new 3-row, 8-passenger crossover SUV aimed directly at American families. This isn’t Hyundai’s first attempt at building this kind of vehicle, but it is the company’s boldest.

We have had our Palisade for three months. Could not be more pleased. It's fun to drive, rides very nice and has all the bell & whistles anyone could desire. As stated, the best warranty in the industry. It deserves a look, if shopping for a new SUV.

I did 500 miles with my 2019 Pilot
In Korea, people have to wait almost 7 months or more to get Palisade as the demand for big SUV market has expanded.
Likewise,i drove so far only 800+ miles. And always look for excuse to drive. Even though i already have one(Limited in Black) but still love watching reviews of Palisade.
Hi Carol,
In your opinion, how quiet is the Palisade on a long stretch of busy interstate?
just bought the moonlight blue with beige and brown interior this weekend. picking it up from the dealership tomorrow. all the bells and whistles!!!!!!
I just picked the same color scheme I love it so far, how’s it holding up
Hopefully this helps others understand the differences between the Kia and the Hyundai.
1. Styling interior/exterior - 100% subjective and it should be. You're the one who has to look at it everyday. From the squared Kia to the more rounded Palisade lines, you definitely have a choice.
2. Center console - You either like the Palisade's push button shifter and how this enables more efficient use of the center console, or you don't. Wife loves that she has a place to put her purse with easy access.
3. Driver info center - Palisade is 12.3", 100% programmable and digital versus 7" digital + 2 analog, non-customizable gauges in the Kia.
4. Push button 3rd row decline is only available in the Palisade.
5. 20" wheels - black only on the Telluride, black chrome on the Palisade.
6. Palisade has different rear end suspension. Makes the ride VERY compliant. Shocks are supplied by 2 different suppliers. Palisade uses Sachs/ZF and are tuned to react faster than Kia which means it can actually be both more compliant and a better handler.
7. Palisade has more sound deadening and thicker glass. Makes for a very quiet ride, although the Telluride is not far behind.
8. Telluride has more space (2") behind the 3rd row. Slightly different length and body lines for the Palisade surrenders the space.
9. Palisade limited comes standard with self-leveling suspension. Telluride you need to order the trailering package.
10. Kia has power folding mirrors, Hyundai does not.
11. Both have 630watt stereos, Kia has 10 speakers, Hyundai has 12. I honestly could not tell a difference, but I. Sure some audiophile could.
12. The Palisade has a perforation rust warranty that is two years longer than the Telluride.
13. The Telluride has 3 more cubic feet of cargo space behind the 3rd row.
14. The Palisade has power folding/lifting 3rd row in addition to the aforementioned power reclining.
15. The Palisade has remote start available on the key fob, whereas the Telluride requires the UVO app.
16. The Palisade has 2” more leg room in the first row, but the Telluride has 0.7” more head room in the 3rd row.
17. The Palisade has a bigger glove compartment.
18. The Palisade has better headlights, thus making it an IIIHS Top Safety Pick +.
19. The Telluride has bag hooks on the front seat backs for the second row.
20. If the app matters to you, you get 3 free years of BlueLink (Palisade) vs. 1 free year of UVO Telluride.
21. The Telluride uses fake wood (really well done by the way) on the dash versus the Hyundai's sparkle painted plastic.
22. The Palisade's blind spot cameras us the left and right gauges to show versus only the center in the Telluride.
23. Even with the same motor and transmission, the Hyundai is faster 0-60 by .1 seconds and faster 0-100 by nearly 3 seconds and delivered better gas mileage both city and highway than the Kia - according to C&D's October comparison.
24. Palisade's are built exclusively in Ulsan, South Korea alongside Genesis G sedans and the soon to be released GX line of SUV's. Telluride's for the American market are built exclusively in West Point, GA, along with the Kia Sorrento.

Wow, thanks for all of the comparison information. Very much appreciated.
Does the Telluride come with heads up display? I believe not
Great review!👍👍Thank you!
thank you for all the info! happy new year!
Wow! Thanks so much for this.
I bought a Palisade limited December 2nd. It’s the most comfortable car I have ever had. Best SUV I have ever owned. The ride is smooth and the price made it a good value.
Love mine, have had it for almost 3 months. I drive it 2 hrs a day, my 3 kids enjoy our long drives.
Ana v congrats!!!
Damn why you commuting so long? How are the lane keep and adaptive cruise with all that driving?
They are really beautiful vehicles. Glad you like yours...and hope of years of fun driving!! Merci
Riyad I also have a Palisade and the lane keeping is amazing I’ve been on road trips and it’s really good even with turns and I’ve read some reviewers say it’s better than Tesla in some ways. In stop and go traffic it takes over and I’m amazed at how smooth it is. I’ve used the feature in rain and it still works flawlessly.
@@agentjrbReally appreciate you replying - I keep hearing over and over again how Hyundai/Kia nailed their new driving assist generation of technology, I'm really surprised that they made such little noise about it having done such a good job. GM doesn't know what to do with SuperCruise/Cruise Automation, FCA+Peugot is trying to be best friends with Google for next-gen, Ford has CoPilot Assist but I haven't seen reviews say it's incredible... meanwhile the Koreans kept it simple and nailed it!
I love the new Palisade! Looks awesome!
Got ours a month ago and immediately drove it from Canada to Texas for the winter. Short story is that we love it and I saw 29 mpg on the highway on occasion. Lots of room for six months worth of our stuff. The only caveat so far has been service for our Canadian vehicle in the US. We had a stone chip in the windshield that progressed quickly to a full on crack requiring windshield replacement. In the US they cannot even look up a Canadian VIN and it took a long time to simply arrange getting the windshield. This was not a warranty situation, just getting a part. Nothing is perfect but Hyundai should consider being a leader in cross border service if they want to maintain their status as an excellent producer of consumer vehicles.

That’s the only issue with both the Kia and Hyundai, the windshield is not thick enough , Nissan has the same issues
@@reyperez3424 Subaru's tend to crack their windshields too!
IMHO, then do not get an OEM replacement. Go to Safelite or similar for replacement. Good luck with it...
@@biz4twobiz463 might be too new to go other tha the dealership for windshield replacement.
The twins do have thin windshields and thin paint.
Hyundai the future leader of the automotive industry
looks good !
Only sales for America market 😔 Europe should have this beauty
Hi chis I whant one video you test st explorer v6 thanks I what hear you review
I like your car-opinion Wardlaw. You speake’ my language...
Same - I always like it when he reviews a car I'm interested in.
I wish i could buy it my dream sev
Nicer interior than the Kia.
I like this new 2020 palisade..how can I get it?
It looks best with white paint with it's body style.
I hate when they say this and Telluride are basically the same. There are differences in options.
For example the higher trim Palisades have remote start on the key fob. That's not even an option on any Telluride.
Not to mention tech/engineering differences. Do your research.
Armin K and the digital dash, the push button 3rd row and two extra speakers on the limited sound system - all not available on the Telluride.
The key word there is "basically". Of course there are difference in options that's why they are called "options".
trulyspeaking That's why they're called "standard" and not "options" on the Palisade.
They are basically the same. Keyword is basically...LOL!! YES, of course they have a few differences, but basically they are the same. Geeeezzzzzzzz....
@@ThePitbullsrking Exactly!! lol
Safety first
I just find excuses to go somewhere to just drive it.
And what a nice fun excuse to have!! lol
I wonder if you can rent one at Hertz or Avis for a weekend test drive.
Hyundai needs to make that front Grey part surrounding the grill match the color of the paint and this car will look far better upfront
Love the tech but hate how big that divider console between the front seatsis.
Grab the Kia - that's the big difference between the two.
Here in south Korean you still need to wait for 2-3 months before you get your unit.. 😭😭😭
I read the demand for Palisade is too high in South Korea
Read the literature!! The seats aren’t full Nappa, they are trimmed in nappa, the quilted is the only nappa leather . Same with telluride.
i bought leather car seat covers from napa
The looks are growing on me. The Explorer is junk!
The Explorer is terribly expensive when loaded, too!
Did they ever fix the transmission slipping like crazy on NEW explorers?
I loving it
Steve Wise ford ran out of money after giving Lincoln a huge budget and then building all the new engine options and are banking on people buying them for “ford” reasons 😂
Looks strange. Telluride is more honest inside and out. But a good deal regardless. Well done Hyundai.
Telluride looks dishonest to me, LOL. Just a copy of a Range Rover really. At least the Palisade treads new ground with unique interior and exterior styling.
If the gmc terrain and kia telluride made a baby
Too chevy looking on the sides, don’t like the taillights and exhaust tips either, decent interior tho..
Not a good Review !! Speaks too fast, and the video pictures interchange too quickly between different shots. You need to speak SLOWER, take a PAUSE between the next segment of information, and keep the Video camera longer on each new area that you are covering !!
ROFL your promoting the ford explorer that just got the worst wich means dangerous crash test rating
Your comment on dash buttons are absolutely NOT true. It's clear! If you can't see them you shouldn't have a driver's license.
2:44 Every American car reviewer push AND hold the button to fold the third row seat. You just need to push the button ONCE. Do your homework.
Don't be an In-Law, be a Wardlaw.
Powerful? What....
HICARMOM
Cheep materials used and not so great ride quality. Test drove it for 1 hour, didn't think it was worth the price.
I wouldn't want to be seen in any Hyundai!...loll.....
Telluride looks better to me
The 2020 Hyundai Palisade I think is a very nice upcoming SUV for its price but it has too much plastic inside for me I'm a 100% wood leather in carbon fiber Man
Dude didn’t like the third row seat. He is a tub thou
engalvan ... wow, that's a terribly rude comment. I'm sure you are model quality...right? He looks like a normal or average sized American. Shouldn't be so rude. He has a nice voice and good presentation. I also liked the video format.
biz4two biz4 he’s obese. Typical fat American
engalvan what is your definition of obese?
Oh that front end! A big turn off for me.
It looks like a Chinese knock off Cadillac Escalade..
MCMXC its clear that you are a hater why people can’t give credit when is due
rex freeman Im not hating on nothing, Im not paying 100k for an Escalade or buying any Gm Products because GM Dosnt care about Their North American Workers. I considered buying one of these because its one of the bigger 7 seaters in its class. It’s definitely nice but looks like it stole alot of inspiration from The Escalade and put its own spin on it. Thats why I said it looks like a Chinese Knock Off..
@@mcmxc3794 and its 10 times better
You speak too fast, and you did not cover such important things as the manual mode and paddle shifting. Not a Good review !!
I want to like this vehicle but I honestly can not. The design is polarizing, weird and bland all at the same time. It is too simple to be stylish and so vanilla. I guess it's good enough for some but I just can't.
