We just made a 5 hour drive to get our 2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited all-wheel-drive just as we would have ordered it, if it were possible. During my research over the past month or so, I have seen that the Limited Edition is in high demand. All wheel drive even more so. I have checked dealers from South Carolina all the way to Pennsylvania and found that they sell these vehicles, in the Limited trim, just as fast as they arrive on the lot. We were very fortunate to be able to snag one with all of our specifications. We just purchased the 2020 limited in All wheel Drive with graphite exterior and beige interior. Loaded with every option and then some dealer add-ons. If we would have missed this opportunity we were looking at up to a three month or more wait for the exact vehicle we wanted. In the time that we have owned ours, it has been as impressive as my 2018 Mercedes-Benz, which we purchased new! We were within hours of buying a brand new Audi Q7 Quattro, then we took a pause and looked at the Hyundai and for the money we are pleased with our purchase.
2 months of ownership and 3,000 miles we love ours. Here's what has surprised us so far: 1) Regularly gets over 30mpg hwy steady driving. 2) Puddle lights from side view mirrors and backlit door handles - great at night. 3) 64 custom color interior light colors 4) 12 speaker 640 watt stereo booms 5) Heated/cooled 2nd row 6) When car is off, hold windshield washer and wipers will freeze straight up. Great for washing. 7) Telluride just aced it's iihs crash test. Bodes well for Palisade. 8) Simply stand at the back when locked, 3X car beeps and the rear tail gate opens. No foot-wagging. 9) Self-driving. Not Tesla-like, but damned impressive. 10) Front end at night just looks awesome.
@S Parfano If you're assuming Hyundais are unreliable because that's how it was 15 years ago, you'll be in for a shock. This mentality of assuming what was will always be is idiotic and needs to end. It's like how people still assume ford's are unreliable, and Nissans are rock solid.
S Parfano Kia and Hyundai beat Volvo, VW, Ford, Honda, Lincoln and many others in 3 year reliability. Genesis, Kia, Hyundai took 1st, 2nd and 3rd in initial quality 2 years in a row beating Toyota, Lexus, Porsche....we'll everybody as they finished 1,2,3
S Parfano hard to argue with 16 year old Toyota. We had a 2002 Tahoe with 137K miles and a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with 85K miles. We traded because we needed something with better gas mileage and 3 rows. This Palisade fit the bill. But you enjoy that thirsty Toyota big fella.
It’s nice to see car brands re-inventing themselves in such a way that they’re actually becoming more favourable not only for the price, but it’s equipment and style too.
I just traded my 15 Genesis 3.8awd sedan for a 2021 Palisade. I love it. I have more room, it has a great ride, pretty decent mpg. I keep the selector on eco as I commute around 130 miles a day. I have noticed in sport mode that not only are the shift points different, but the suspension tightens up a bit, as does the steering.
Doug the type of it to urgently edit a Hyundai video overnight because he posted it on his Instagram got his viewer's hopes up, although most people didn't know what it was.
This SUV makes me want to start a family. **Edit** Most importantly, this is the first time I have ever considered a Hyundai. I agree with the below comment, this would do so much better branded as a Genesis. Slap a turbo on this and it would be a hit.
@@somelikeithoth86 It's alright. My wife and I tested out the GV80. It was too small for our family of four and the long roadtrips we take and the GV90 won't hit till 2023. So we drove out with a 2021 Pali Calligraphy and are very happy with it.
All this tech stuff in modern cars is gonna come back to bite used car buyers in the ass. Anyone who is buying these second hand in 5-10 years are gonna have so many headaches once this stuff fails. At that point, you might as well disable a lot of the unnecessary crap, but the way their making even the analog dials and controls into digital screens will mean you can even read the gauges or control HVAC without replacing everything
Same, they're gonna take over the market. Bang for your buck wise theyre amazing . South Korea also has amazing cities all technology advanced and super clean. Might be the City of the Future.
I wouldnt. While it is a nice vehicle in comfort and appearance, Hyundai engines are shit right now, and their paint is terrible. The dealerships are scrambling to fix rampant oil starvation problems in all of their models under warranty, and paint is pealing on thousands of Hyundais that are less than 4 years old. Its an epidemic. Of course, Hyundai wont tell you this until you go talk to an angry service tech. They sell you polished turds, and the shine wears off the minute the warranty expires and you have a seized up engine at 50k miles.
Will Thornton yea true, the engine sucks, I am a Hyundai fan (I am Korean) but it is true, the 200hp gets worse fuel economy than a base 911 or any 400hp german engines. This is what Hyundai should work on. The engine is low quality.
Who says no one is going to use the different drive modes? I frequently change it from comfort to sport especially when I need that quick throttle response when turning into a fast road from a dead stop, then when I'm at highway speeds, I switch it back to comfort. And when I'm in the city in bumper to bumper traffic I place it in eco mode and sometimes used the "auto hold" button for automatic braking so I don't have to hold the brakes down often and I also use the adaptive cruise control to let the Palisade do all the stop and go work.
Fun fact: did you know; Hyundai’s logo is designed after 2 people (the seller/associate and the buyer) Hyundai prides themselves in customer service experience and wants you to have the best and the most reliable product from start to finish. They have expanded this practice in getting to know their audience and buyers and fitting all their cars to needs and desires of the public!

@S Parfano If you're assuming Hyundais are unreliable because that's how it was 15 years ago, you'll be in for a shock. This mentality of assuming what was will always be is idiotic and needs to end. It's like how people still assume ford's are unreliable, and Nissans are rock solid.

And when I'm in the city in bumper to bumper traffic I place it in eco mode and sometimes used the "auto hold" button for automatic braking so I don't have to hold the brakes down often and I also use the adaptive cruise control to let the Palisade do all the stop and go work.
