    Interesting that the Mazda got second despite being the newcomer. If the price is the only sore point compared to the 1st-place Hyundai, I'm willing to pay the price if I'm getting a better car. You can't ignore that inline 6 and rear-drive-based AWD architecture.

      what I don't understand is why talk about price, the cx90 turbo S has the same price as the honda elite and the hyundai, they cost the same here in the United States, 53 thousand dollars and with all its equipment, for me the turbo S is perfect since with the other two models that follow the turbo S we lose a passenger and the difference is minimal, so if within the 3 they have the same price I go with the cx-90 that has more power and is more elegant at the level of German vehicles

    • @OtisSpringerpilot
      @OtisSpringerpilot Рік тому +2

      Absolutely correct! And not only CAN the Mazda inline6 turbo S run on premium OR regular, IF you choose regular, there is NO decrease in torque (369 lb-ft on either fuel!) ..there is a a 21hp decrease with regular fuel....which puts it at 319hp, still above every other SUV in this comparison. Still, it was the CX-90 overall price that knocked it to 2nd place, and I agree that the cost of the Mazda will adversely affect its "overall value".

    Judging by the way Mazda is pricing the CX90, the base models competes with the mainstream segment while the top one can go head to head with the more premium brands and in my opinion and experience, the CX90 can easily topple the MDX, thanks to Acura for refusing to build a RWD platform and with that 10s ZF is completely a joke. This review has helped me round it down to the Palisade and CX 90. If a garage in Mexico City can get me the CX 90 in 2-3 months Im likely to go with that. If not, the Palisade. Than comes the price where CX90 can be bought for just over 40Kusd and that is a steal!!!
    Well equipped and sooo much better built and finished than others here .

The CX-90 might work if you only plan to keep it 50K miles or so...but when the timing chain needs to be replaced at 100K miles, bring the bank. Why? Because the genius Mazda engineers put the timing belt at the REAR of that in-line 6. You will have to REMOVE the whole damn engine to get at it... and what will THAT cost in man hours? See the review by the "Car Care Nut". Naw... for me, it's the Honda Pilot hands down. I can live with a little less fuel mileage for the reliability and longevity of that V6 and 10 sp transmission. This comparison is helpful to consumers In understanding the similarities and differences between models. However, picking a winer is objectively unrealistic. Why? because the criteria chosen is very subjective. Size? Suspension and handling? Fuel economy? Expected reliability? Cost to own? (BTW: if cost is so important, why not include cost to own - not price, but 5 year cost to own).
