Absolutely not true. Maybe 20 years ago but recently Ford and Nissan have THE most recalls on Transmissions especially Nissan with the CVT. Even more specific the Nissan Rogue Ask me how I know and I'll tell you so
You did not mention the Mitsubishi Outlander. My 08 has 241KM, runs like a clock. Has never left me stranded or broke down. Never tuned up the engine and A/C is ice cold after almost 17 years! Totally under rated and flies under the radar!

Engine does not pulsate like my highly touted Camry which has a rebuilt motor and half the mileage. My outlander still blows ice cold Ac/C with just recharging the freeon.Technicians do not drive them for 17 years!
My coworker had a RAV4 and his wife hated the way it handles and so he drove it. It was having transmission issues early on and he kept telling the dealership that. They kept telling him it wasn’t and had him fix all sorts of other stuff and when all that was done they said it was the transmission and he was sooo angry. He traded it. Toyotas are not perfect regardless of what Scotty K says, and if Subaru’s were so bad Toyota wouldn’t have bought a share of the company. They know Subaru does AWD better than they do, or anyone else, and is trying to steal their tech.
My Toyotas spent a lot of time at the mechanic, whereas my Hondas never ever broke down. I drove my accord wagon for over 300k and did regular maintenance, then sold it and bought another Honda. I am now on my 2021 Honda CRV and I love it❣
I have had 2 Kia sportage and it is so true. Most reliable car ever. I have never taken it in for any engine or other problem apart from brakes and tires and regular oil change. My first one I kept for6 years an this one I have is 10 yrs old.In fact I think Kias are very reliable in my experience
Equinox is good car, but I liked the 2.4 litre instead of 1.5 litre engine . Don’t get the sunroof version though, the sunroof is prone to leaking and expensive to fix. Otherwise equinox is good car , just don’t get one with a sunroof
I got rid of my 13 Forester after the 5th oil change. Subaru has a very weak dealership network which is why I got it at the corporate Mississauga dealership. They broke the car during a simple maintenance task so I traded it. This is a similar story to the 2003 Impreza I unloaded after 15 months that the Winnipeg dealership broke. Some things never change.
Honda, Toyota, Tata, Mahendra, walswagon, Mazda, are good cars, easy to maintain. I used Honda, Toyota , Mazda cars 25 years in Dubai. Now I use Honda n Toyota automatic car, very nice, economical, easy to maintain, once in a year I service my car. It is very smooth n very easy to drive n safe, if you drive carefly n normal speed. No liability like BMW, Mercedes etc. Expensive n luxurious cars.
My VW Golf GTD is nearly 9 years old, never broke down once, and its still going well to day. This golf i brought brand new, 2016 and still looks new . So please don't judge your electric cars yet.

Yup 2019 forester and I take good care of my cars this one leaks oil and TPMS failed twice. Had enough got a new 2025 Honda CRV. WHICH HAS NO TPMS. AHHHHH.
My god sister has a Subaru forrester from 2019 and still runs with no issues. She wants a new one but she loves NOT having car payments so she’ll keep ‘red lips’ until it fall apart. I don’t see that happening no time soon.🤣👍🏾
I've watched several videos from several different reviewers who claimed that the chev equinox is not at all a reliable vehicle. If you want to drive a reliable vehicle it is Toyota, Honda, Mazda or Lexus.
I bought a new 2018 Kona $20k. Has 80k miles. No mechanical problems just oil changes. Have never had to align front end. I think $20k is awesome for a Korean rice cooker.
Toyota RAV4 I own one it was awesome for about 10 years and then the transmission started slipping that's why I got a brand new Subaru Crosstrek way better
As soon as you said equinox i knew this whole video was baseless and absolutely wrong. My son works at a salvage yard and it is full of equinox and escapes that are only a few years old just outside warranty because they cost more to repair than to buy another car. The transmission’s all go the same way so you can’t get a used part you need to pony up $13,000 for a new transmission installed. Chevy and ford know how to squeeze money out of their customers.

My ex has a Hyundai Tucson it needed the engine replaced on warranty but she has to watch for signs of it happening again. Hyundai makes disposable engines.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy a Forester or get involved with Subaru ever. My local dealership damaged by Forester and couldn't even figure out how to fix it. And then they refused to fix it. I reached out to Subaru of America and they refused to step in so I ended up losing the car and thousands of dollars. I won't ever buy a Subaru again. Worst car manufacturer in the world!

Wow, that's a lot of milage. I have a 2009 Equinox with 180,000 miles. 2009 is the last year the engine was a V6.

This is the most underrated comment. Excluding recalls and bad luck…most these cars will be fine if you take it in for regular maintenance.

I believe Mitsubishi is the brand most of the experts and technicians recommend avoiding.
Wife's first car was a Mitsubishi (Eagle Vista) - only one breakdown in 18 years, and was still running fine when the body finally rusted out.

Engine replaced on the Hyundai Santa fe and transmission replaced on the Tucson at 50k miles.
I just wish the Subaru service here are more dependable and available parts easily available

Not sure what you're referring to, but that engine has been very good for Honda. Perhaps you have it confused with another manufacturer.
Any cars break down. There are no perfect among them. Supercars and cheap Chinese cars also break down. It’s all about the cost of repairs.
