Great vid once again! The camera I've decided on for myself as far as EDC has been the Fuji X20. Small sensor compact camera with a variable zoom of 28-112mm and a max aperture of f2-2.8 and a pop up flash. It is stabilized, shoots in 4:3 aspect ratio natively (!) and has pretty decent 1080p video. Great for capturing memories. It's not ultra portable or ultra fast, it has no tilting screen or 20fps burst, it doesnt even do great in low light, but I love the manual controls on it like the dedicated exposure comp, priority mode selector, optical viewfinder (not an EVF), heck even the variable zoom is mechanical which I've frankly never seen on a compact body; it even has the screw in for a soft shutter release which my GFX 50r doesn't even have (I did not think I would value this as much as I do). For SUCH a small and unassuming package it really does offer a whole lot, and I'm glad I picked one up.

Oh wow! Great question. I’d say that, if cost wasn’t an issue, you should go with the R6II or the X-T5. Both have WAY better video specs than the X-T20. Between the R6 and X-T5, it’d depend on if you already have lenses for those cameras or not. Do that help?

I’ve not had any issues. If you’ll search the web or UA-cam for a tutorial on how to do that with your specific camera in the search, you should be able to find something that will walk you through it. Let me know if you don’t see anything and I’ll see what I can do.

Awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 30,000 is ok and I wouldn’t worry about it too much. These newer shutters are rated for 100,000 + so you’ve got a lot of life left. I use the shutters count as a measurement of how much it’s been used, not so much how long will it last. I think you’ll be just fine. Mine has about 15,000.
I’d say it comes down to 2 things. Price and style of camera. Do you like a rangefinder better than an SLF style body? I think both will make amazing pictures, it’s just a matter of affordability and preference. Does that help?
Both are great cameras but depends on what are your preferences, they are pretty similar but one deciding factor I think is comfort, the X-E3 is more comfortable to shoot with than the X-T20, specially if you have big hands, also style wise I feel that xt20 is better looking but that's up to anyone, a grip can help for the xt20 but I'm not sure I have both xt20 and while not an xe3 I have an xe1 which is pretty much the same design and I do find the X-E1 to be more comfortable but the X-T20 easier to carry around

@@WoodenAxle yeah man. You lose DOF like you gain reach. Smaller sensor means less DOF compared to FF. So 50mm 2.8 is like 75mm F4. However if you’re still getting pleasing/good enough shallow DOF then just love the lighter smaller body and lenses. 👍🏻
I‘ve shot in a night club with a X-T20 and the 18-55 kit lens. Did everything I asked for and the results were stunning!

after I got an XPro-3, I slapped a free-focus 18mm on my X-T20 and made it a little edc pocketable point-and-shoot
That sounds like a fun edc.

I'm trying to decide too. But the X-t20 has the tiltable screen and that's a BIG plus for me.

2.8 is more like 4 on an APSC isn’t it?
