I've had my XT2 for almost 8 years. Best camera and easiest camera to use thus far. Three batteries in the grip and a soft touch shutter release button! Brilliant piece of kit!
I bought this camera during the pandemic and the rest is history. This camera bridges the gap between retro and modern. The controls/dials are intuitive to use and the image quality the Xtrans 3 sensor produces is unique and has a lot of character. I love this camera, in the age of high pixels with gears that costs an arm and leg and everyone getting on the film train, this camera brings something on the table that no other camera does: character. Great video and I'd love to see some photo walks videos.
I own the XT-2 it is a fantastic camera, the problem we face whichever manufacturer we subscribe to is one of gear acquisition, more megapixels, more focus points better low light performance, etc, the way forward is being able to understand and use the gear we have to the best of its ability, that makes your photography better.
I've found the best way to avoid gear acquisition syndrome is to spend more time creating photos and experimenting with different styles and techniques and less time reaching articles in magazines and online about new cameras and equipment.
I've seen dozens of videos about the Fujifilm X-T2, paired with many lenses. This is not one of thoose with the views that deserves, and this helped me decide on purchasing this camera. I really like your photography style too, didn't see a single boring photo throughout the samples. Wish you the best!
Got an X-T2 over a year ago for a song, along with a couple free incredible lenses. Best deal in my photo life. I look at the X-T5, and I know I'll get on eventually, but the X-T2 has my heart right now and I'm still pleased with the image quality. A great photo doesn't become any less a great photo just because cameras with greater megapixels exist. They are just different creative mediums that you need to work within.
I agree this camera is very small and lightweight. Sure an X-T20 is smaller, but you get all the controls and at the end, the X-T2 feels better in the hand. Bought my X-T2 new in March 2018. Today, there are nearly 200'000 clicks on this body! Although I added an X-T3 and an X-H2 to my camera bag, the T2 remains my #1 choice for everyday photography, holidays, and street photography: if it gets stolen or does break - who cares? - But it doesn't break, did not even break when I let it fall down when I stumbled on some unexpected steps in Barcelona this winter. To my surprise: you are right with image quality not so much affected even when going to ISO 12'800. I always put the shutter on M+E, where the max. shutter speed is 1/32'000 th of a second.
i owned the X-T2 back 2017-2018 and then again 2023-2024 and it still holds up beautifully even now 😍 i only resold it bc im switching to all USB-C for my set up lol after owning 40+ cameras that is still my fav camera
If I hadn't wanted a RF style camera, I would probably still have my XT2 now. Got one back in 2017 and had it until 2022. Got a XPRO 3 in mid 2022, then moved into a Leica MP 240 at the end of 2023 due to wanting a RF style these days. But man oh man was that XT2 amazing and one of my favorite cameras ever, especially with a 27 mm pancake lens on it.
I really enjoyed your video! You give me inspiration for shooting my X-T2. I've bookmarked this one so I can go back and rewatch a few times to learn from your images. I've been using the X-T2 since 2018 and it still works great!
My man. Bought one myself as well very recently. Should've done this 5 years ago. Build quality out of this world and due to the EVF it feels very modern.
Excellent video. Your presentational skills are superb: articulate, well paced and informative. Very stylish all round. I bought an X-T2 recently as a replacement for my Canon gear ( too heavy to lug around) and I am astonished at the quality and performance of this camera. It reminds me of my photography in the early 70s. Please keep up the excellent work. Your photos are great too!
I'm planning to buy XT-2 pairs with 23mm f2 WR mostly for street photo and walk around. Appreciate your thought about this camera. This video is inspiring to watch...
I’m using my X-T2 up. It leaks rain into Slot 1 now so it’s a fair weather unit but it does everything I’ve asked of it and turns out images I’m very pleased with in Capture One.
i was out of the photography game for like 10-15 years i think. back then i wasnt really sure of what i like either, so i got stuck into certain styles or areas that were not really resonating with me and were burning me out. i was really into portraits and studio work and it included so much postprocessing and deadlines and people complaining and whatnot and it made me shoot less because staring at photoshop for hours on end isnt fun. however based on gear i already developed a certain style. back then i was shooting various nikon bodys but i was almost exclusively using vintage lenses, because they had a certain character to the images i would not get otherwise. now i got back into photography last month but with a complete different mindset. i dont want to be stuck to certain locations or styles, i want to get out of the house and explore and just have fun. travel cities i havent been before. but i dont even have a camera right now. so i got an old iphone from a friend. iphone 5s...yeah really old. ignored the fact that its technically a phone and use it as a point and shoot camera i can carry everywhere because its so tiny, it can fit inside my palm. honestly, it can create nice photos still and i have fun with it while i save up to get a new camera again. i havent finally decided yet, so many options on used market, various sony a6000, some olympus om-d, so many fujis. however the xt2 right now is probably the one i want to go with simply because of the weather sealing alone. especially for street photography and traveling i feel like the best photos you can make in bad weather and i just dont want to limit myself on that and the xt2 is affordable used and probably one of the cheapest weathersealed ones you can get too. i have 4 things i need a camera to do. 1. lightweight and portable 2. weather sealed 3. a good liveview mode. (i remember this from dslrs and i m telling you wearing glasses is a PAIN with viewfinders quite often where you cant even put your eye in front of it and just peak inside and then your glasses are dirty afterwards and you cant see that well anymore... urgh...) 4. it needs to be good at adapting manual vintage lenses, with features that make manual focus work.
Wow, you take beautiful photos. It is remarkable how many styles you really nail, and the editing is great too. Very happy I found your video on my search for new Fuji gear. It made me reconsider and remember that it is not the newest gear that makes photographs great. When I saw the photos these two current photographers came to my mind, you might know them, if not have a look, you might enjoy them: Faizal Westcott & Adrien Sanguinetti. Thank you for sharing these amazing photos!
i NEVER wouldve guessed you where new to youtube, the intro, THe PHOTOS? all so amazing , maybe a little bit better lighting for that talking head parts but I am blown away by the photos and how good they are!!! keep up the amazing work man!
Fabulous photos! I have the X-T2 and the JPEGs straight out of the camera are amazing. I don’t print larger than A3 and Acros + yellow filter using a Canon Pixma iP8750 yields stunning results. Thanks for making such a great video. Greetings from England!
Philipp, oh Philipp! Please let us bargain shoppers be great, LOLOL. The price of this model is NEVER going down on re-sell. Awesome that you love this camera.
The XT2 is very cheap in the u.s. i bought one a few months ago for $450, but i found the camera to be pretty heavy compared to my XE1 and i like the original Xtrans sensor better than the xtrans iii
Nice review, XT2 now became underrated fujifilm camera, people still crave compact like xt20, xe3, and X100 series which is the price is insane. In my country XT2 can be found at $450 - $500.
Bought the X-T2 a little while ago but somehow didn’t shoot many photos this all changed after I bought the 35mm F2.0 R WR which turned out to be a game changer, this is a heck of a combination, you should try it sometime.
Wtf man just checked your IG and your photos are top notch. So sad to see no engage on that damn platform at all. Maybe you should do some reels with your photos just to let the world see your work? Nevertheless don't stop and keep crushing it!
Amazing Amazing video man. Really enjoyed watching and got inspired too, that i should get better at my craft than blindly spending money on higher models! You seemed so natural at talking to the camera. Keep it up!
I loved it! Add in more "show don't tell" kind of shots. Shots of you in the field taken images. Or mix up your talking head shots in the field or in your third space. Subscribed.
I sold my X-T2 some months after getting the X-T5 but not because of the image quality! Mainly because of the difference in batteries and controls. Better build quality vs X-T5 and great image output. X-T5 is just a more versatile camera. X-T2 are fairly cheap, so whoever buys them is a at lucky position!
I'm sold. What I liked: beautiful images of the camera and a solid set of appealing images. Didn't like... not much. Perhaps not enough context for the camera outside of the comparison to the XT20. But not a biggie at all.
I’ve kind of fallen in love with the XT2 since I got one last year, so that intro was like watching camera porn! 😄 I have a FF set up, but it just doesn’t excite me like the xt2. I find myself picking the camera up, just for the joy of holding it. My partner laughs at me for this, can’t blame her! 😄
Great video, making me inspired to go out and shoot my x-t2 again👍🏻 can you tell me how you achieved the look of the photo at 8:10? I’d love to be able to have an aerochrome/ lomo purple look from the Fuji!

It really comes down to compact size vs a fully-featured camera. If you want to be more inconspicuous, I'd go for the X-E3! The X-T2 is my go-to simply because you get a flip screen, which is incredibly helpful whenever you want to get a high or low angle. If the X-T20 is 90% of the camera that the X-T2 is, then the X-E3 is 85% of what the X-T2 is. Also, the X-T2 is more accessible on the used market than the X-E3. If you find an X-E3 for $350 or below then I'd say go for that.
I have been using the XT2 since 2016 and the major thing that holds this camera back is the battery. It's really terrible. I had an event shooting today and I drained through 6 batteries in half a day. I like the images I got from the XT2 but I will upgrade to the XH2 in the near future.
In the market for this and came across this video and these photos are absolute bangers. The huge panorama landscape, was that a crop or made using a panorama mode?
Bought my first camera (XT2) a few months ago and I'm learning currently, thanks for the video! Can I ask a question? are the pictures at 06:11 and 06:26 edited with colors or is that just your lense? I love the natural colors and it's a look. (picture of your friend with camera, man in the stadium) Or are you using a film recipe on your camera? also 07:28 (shoes)
Bought one this week with the 80-55 kit lens in pristine condition. Now a i just need to delete all the canon things that I learned from my mind and start learning fuji 😂
Was thinking of getting this or the x-t3 as a newcomer to photography but cant really decide if i should go with the more expensice one or settle for the 2 which seems to be really good too. What would you say ?
If you can find the X-T3 for the same price or within $50 of the X-T2, I say go with the X-T3! You'll also get the benefit of USB-C charging with the X-T3. But if you can find an X-T2 for 600 or less I say get the X-T2!
I used the 16-55mm f/2.8 to film the talking head portion along with the 35mm f/1.4 which I used for the outro and an 80mm f/2.8 that I rented for the product shots! And a majority of the photos I showed were shot with the 35mm f/1.4
I've had my XT2 for almost 8 years. Best camera and easiest camera to use thus far. Three batteries in the grip and a soft touch shutter release button! Brilliant piece of kit!

XT1/Xpro1 was the base hit but the XT2/Xpro2 was the homerun in the series for which they base their success on today
Own t2, pro2 and 100f. Wouldn’t sell them. All fantastic made in Japan cameras.
I am still hitting base, but hopefully in 2024, the home run will happen !!! Great click's. See ya, blue skies 🤙🏻🍀📸
The XT2 is a great camera! I still use my XT1 all the time.
Bro, these images are amazing. A perfect example of not needing the latest gear to take great shots.

Couldn't agree more.
The trans X 3 sensor is the best.
I just took my old beloved XT2 out for a shoot today. Still love it
I love my XT2. Great camera, lenses are reasonably priced, can't ask for more.

Do it, I love my XT-2! I also love the 23mm f/2 WR. It's a lovely lens, really fun for street and nature walks, have fun!

i really liked the camera close ups as intro. Also the music in this video is perfect with the amazing pictures.

Great video. I bought this camera when it was first introduced and had no need to upgrade. Love your choice of music

35mm F2 permanently on my XT2

Lovely images, man. XT2 is a great beast of a camera
Your sample photos are amazing. Fun, informational video . . . thank you!

Amazing shots man well you should upload a long Street Photography POV video using the FujiFilm XT2 ....

Hello, love your video! And what beautiful photos😮 Which lens did you use?
Great eye/great pix
Great video, making me inspired to go out and shoot my x-t2 again👍🏻 can you tell me how you achieved the look of the photo at 8:10? I’d love to be able to have an aerochrome/ lomo purple look from the Fuji!
Hi, what kind of video did you use to shoot the video? It turned out very well.
Man, I enjoyed many of those photos! I am wondering about the lenses you use.... ? The visuals and audio were amazing, many thanks!
just purchased my xt2 bro. cleans shots by the way! question… do you prefer to shoot jpg or raw and if you edit in light room what presets do you use?
Still rocking X-T2. My EVF is getting burn-in though so it might be time for...X-T3 or 4...
or get another XT2? I would.

Great shots! :) Thanks for the input, I shall get me an XT2 again. What lens did you use most on the photos you showcased?
I used the 35mm 1.4 for most of the photos! Like 80%
soooo cool bro you're an artist.
I loved loved the photos. I really liked the portrait you took of the girl leaning against the concrete wall. And bro the photos with the houses and the stormy sky spoke to me 😂 idk why. Man I just bought an X-T2. Any suggestions on glass? What glass are you using for portraits? And then what glass for landscape?
can you please tell us the lenses that you used on your Fuji for all of the photos? Thank you:)
Beautiful edits❤
Might be a stupid question, but literally trying to get into photography. What would you choose between the X-T2 and an X-E3? Thanks for the advice and great video.
If you find an X-E3 for $350 or below then I'd say go for that.
lets build the tech kingdom
