I think the dock is a great accessory for a desk setup. It also makes it easier to plug the mac to the whole setup, since it can be plugged by a single cable.
"Do you like spending money on things that you don't need or that you might not actually end up using?" *Me nodding with a sheepish smile on my face* "Of course not!" *Immediately starts shaking head furiously with eyes glued firmly to the ground*
Doing people a disservice for not mentioning the silent version of the mouse (Mx master 3S) because it’s the same mouse and added functionality of not being annoying, ultra quiet clicks)
The mouse is a must have for me, the MX max is amazing, I’ve been using it for about 2 years and I can’t work without it. So nice to copy and paste stuffs, specially for web developers.
Absolutely love the accessory deep dive video. The OWC dock is pretty bad ass and definitely a must. The Belkin is also great for travel. Thanks for such a great and detailed video.
Love the OWC. Think moving with a MacBook is great but when you want to sit at your desk and have as much functionality as possible, need a dedicated hub like that to get everything done with one cable to the laptop
I've got MX Master and MX Keys and I love them. interesting that these products have been around for a few years now, but they still keep getting recognition for how good they are
Awesome! for those of you who doesn’t want to break the bank and get a good value for your money, I would recommend Anker 341 7 in 1 USB C hub. It has all the ports you need on a daily basis with a price of 35$.
I'm just a casual user so I'm not motivated to buy any of the products you mentioned but I like the products you've mentioned and the rationale behind your recommendations. Consider me a new subscriber.
I normally don't comment on videos, but I will say that I watched this video. The keyboard that you mentioned intrigued me and I decided to purchase it. After 2 hours after receiving it, I completely enjoy it. I like a keyboard that gives feedback and doesn't feel cheap. Thanks for the suggestion.
I do have the ugreen dongle right now and it is the best for travelling. It’s light and efficient. Will definitely buy that logitech mouse to replace my current wired mouse though 😅
This is probably the 5th Mac accessories video I’ve watched that mentioned the MX Keys mini and gahhh I’m just dying to get one for myself now. Great video tho, one of the more practical mac accessories videos I’ve seen!!
Much appreciated Angelo. Now go get yourself the mini - You won’t regret it! There’s a link to the best price available for the Mini Keys in the description if you want to support the channel 🤝
This channel has stunningly high quality videos considering the low subscribers. I'm incredibly impressed by your commitment and dedication to these videos. You have another subscriber here!
Cool video. I'd like to hear about your setup for connecting your Macbook Pro to your external monitor. Specifically, what monitor you chose and why, which stand you are using, and what you use to make those connections and why. I'd also like to hear about that desktop cover that you have on your desk. Thanks!
Chris, the video quality and the video edit of your channel is amazing! You should do more videos, your channel has a lot of potential to growth with time.
Super underrated channel! I recently bought a Macbook Pro 2018 15” w/touchbar and absolutely love it - my only problem is the lack of USB-A porte. Will definitely be purchasing the UGreen dongle that you recommended in this video. If you end up reading this, what are your thoughts on the touchbar?
I’m buying a MacBook Pro next month and have gone through a lot of UA-cam channels and videos on how to get the best out of my computer itself (such as settings and apps), but this was the first video I’ve seen regarding accessories. Being a graphic design student, I’m sure I will need to consider a few of those hahaha Great job, Chris! Just subscribed!
Thanks for the suggestions! My top pick is most definitely the Logitech MX Keys. I love this device! Switching between the three devices is super fast and the sensors that turn on the backlights when your hands approach the keyboard (before you even touch) are great. Definitely worth the investment!!
@@Christomshack I have the full size. It’s no gaming keyboard obviously but the clicks are just fine for daily use; quiet and feel fine. And the battery life is actually pretty great. I rarely get a low battery alert but I can tell it’s getting low when the backlights don’t come on until I actually touch a key. So, I just pop in the spare USB C cable that I keep on the desk. Combined with the Logi MX Ergo trackball wireless (with the extra tilt pad) and an Apple trackpad, and it’s a pretty close to perfect setup for office and creative work.
Anker Chargers just can’t be beat. I have several of them and you’re right, they’re better than the standard charger that comes with my MacBook itself. As far as keyboard, I prefer the MX keys, full-size mechanical keyboard, because I do use the number pad quite a bit but for travel, I have the logitech K3 80 keyboard and it’s great.
EXTERNAL STORAGE (SSD) Samsung T5/7 Shield (1TB) is surely the MUST have item for daily workflow for most users, since the price and convience concern.
A very useful video. Thank you very much. I came across your first video of 10 useful programs and immediately found so much useful for myself. I've been on MacBooks for less than a year. I will opt for the bigger one to power up my three travelling devices. Thanks Tom for your suggestions. By the way from your previous video I downloaded Rectangle app. Thanks.
I prefer skins from companies like Dbrand over hard cases to keep a sleek, compact MacBook. Although mine is either at my desk or in a padded book bag, so my chances of dropping/denting it are extremely low. Your mileage may vary though
