Thanks for making this... kept me from taking my angle grinder to the back of mine after the batteries died and I couldn't find the keys... you know, the ones I put in a "safe place" so they wouldn't be near the safe but where I'd be able to find them later, lol. Extra tips for anyone else that might find this video and need similar help... I couldn't find a pen around the house that was the "perfect" fit for the diameter of the hole but after heating the end of the pen housing with a lighter (very lightly) and then sticking another larger pen with an angled tip up inside the smaller pen body, it expanded it perfectly to fit in the lock. I also used a pair of pliers to grab the body of the pen, which helped me force it down into the lock a little easier and then allowed me to turn it with more force. Like Got Kickz, I just kind of wiggle it back and forth to get it down in there and then continued to do the same until it unlocked. After finding/making the right size pen I don't think it took me 30 - 60 seconds of messing with it to get it open. Clearly it isn't a very great design, lol. But I'm actually thankful for this, as it kept me from cutting it up to get my gun out and buying another box. I'm not particularly worried about someone stealing my gun, it's more to add another layer of protection from one of my children from gaining access to it. Then again, when they can jump on YT and find something like this is it really stopping them?! They're not old enough yet for me to worry about this but it won't be long before I need to find a better, safer, solution.
Wow! I owe you a big thank you. Batteries died and my keys have long been lost. It took me about 15 minutes and the release point was in a different spot. But, incredulously, I was able to get it open following your instruction by using the screwdriver to make space and then using the large paper clip. Crazy stuff. Seriously, thank you :)
I have a GunVault safe and when my battery died, I couldn't find the backup key. After watching this video, I purchased this same kit online and within minutes after receiving the kit, I had my safe opened and the battery replaced. Thank you very much!
Hey man!! This worked for me! I had the same gun vault and the batteries died…I lost the master key…this worked like a champ! Great instructional video thanks for posting! You should teach! Ciao!
1st, thank you! 2nd, I'm here because the battery in mine is too low to open it but still enough to tell me whether the code is right or wrong. I have the right code but I've lost my key so now that I got it open (thanks again!) I can change the battery.
No problem dawg. Your always looking happy and enthusiastic in your videos. I’m another sneaker collector to. Might start my own UA-cam channel in the future. Getting ideas from other people. Peace. 👊🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video! My safe battery died and I wasn’t able to open it until I was able to get your helpful tip. Followed everything you did and I was able to open it within a minute.

Yeah some of y’all are getting lucky as hell I’ve been at this nonstop and haven’t gotten shit. The finger combo function won’t open my door anymore and my keys are inside
Hey believe what you want I found it for the low at goodwill. Figured Ishtar as well try it amd it was to easy surprisingly. But then again all commercial products really aren't made as well as we think imho.
@@210GotKickz yeah I was just frustrated. The safe was later opened.. thanks to my friend, the Dewalt angle grinder. Won’t be purchasing another though.
@@210GotKickz I had a very special OSHP sig 226 duty gun in it so I was a little nervous but I use grinders a lot so I felt comfortable with it. I just needed the darn thing open! 😅

You have to aim at the locking mechanism or the wire going to the locking mechanism to get it open. Thanks for checking out the vid. 🙏🏾🙌🏾
You can just hammer the screw driver in the same spot and pry upwards and it will open. Just my experience
It Works ! Thanks for posting

@@210GotKickz that’s something I was hoping to help but if I have to believe shit I guess it must be christmas and Santee clause is real too huh
Terrible video and terrible safe. He didn’t even know how it opened. Why make a video then?
It's worked for others on here. Not a scientific approach but can't argue with what works. Lol

@OnOurSleeves Understandably especially if you have a gun in there that you don't want to damage with a grinder or other tool.
