    That was so easy to open. Thanks! Can you show how to open one of the same style but smaller? I have a 11x8x2 safe that is 3 inches from where you inset the flat heat to the end of the case. I am unable to get the flat head inserted in this smaller safe. Thanks

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  2 роки тому

      Let me look into it I might have to order a used one off ebay but it should work the same . You might try a really thin precision flat head to get it to start to wedge then work in a bigger one to give you that gap you need . Is yours the exact same just smaller or is it the one that has a fingerprint scanner as well

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  2 роки тому

      You should be pushing on the cable but it could work either way but the trick is just jiggle it around pushing on the cable and it should open

    Bend a 90 on the pulling end of the Bobby pin and it will be easier to manipulate and pull

    PS. the bobby pin was too hard to turn for me so I got some bailing wire and bent it the way that you showed. The heavier wire did the trick.

    Our battery died in our mini gunvault and I have tried for the past hour trying to use a bobby pin to get the front door to pop open. It just doesn't seem like it wants to pop. I have tried multiple different bobby pins and nothing seems to work. Am I trying to pull up on that cable or am I trying to push down on the cable?

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  8 місяців тому

      Push or pull , but I find pushing to be more easy . you could try using a Allen wrench it would be more sturdy than Bobby pin

    I must have a 2nd edition vault, and mine is the BIO version. The grey plate you used the screwdriver on is almost in the middle (4"-5") vs with an inch of the key. So, assuming the latch is still near where the key would go I would need to stick a took up about 5" to reach it. I don't know if the bio/finger print scanner causes any issues.
    So, my issue is not resolved yet. I did reach out the company (Gunvault) twice but they haven't responded.
    Many companies produce products, customer service makes the difference. So far, GV = 0.

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  Рік тому

      Good luck reaching them highly unlikely . I'm not sure about the biometric version but somewhere in there should be a cable or bar that can be shifted to open it 🤔 if I had one to look at I could figure it out but in all honesty you should probably get a better brand and cut or grind your way into yours to get your valuables out and upgrade to a different brand. You might be able to disengage the lock latch if you can get something small and strong enough to fit in there . Thank's for watching my video I'm sorry it didn't work out for you my best guess is keep trying because a locksmith or the company that makes it charge as much as the safe cost to open it

    I’ve got what looks like the same model GunVault and can’t seem to catch the cable. Any suggestions?

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  8 місяців тому

      You could try using a Allen key it would be stronger than what I used in the video. But if yours is like the one I used in this video there is a cable in there that releases the door latch .

    • @nickdodys985
      @nickdodys985 8 місяців тому

      @@DjKaykoe1 Thanks for the quick reply. When you catch the cable should it be easy to pull? Does anywhere left of the lock work? Should it be easy to slide in over the cable? Is the cable about in the center of lock. I’m having a really tough time. Thanks for your help!

    • @DjKaykoe1
      @DjKaykoe1  8 місяців тому

      @nickdodys985 you should be able to push or pull the cable , it might be more stiff on yours but watch my video again and watch where I put the clip to get to the cable . You might be going above or below the cable but when you find it you will feel it . The only other thing I can think of is you might not have the exact model I demonstrated in the video
