Daily Praetorium runs are something i enjoy. I made it a requirement to jog in place during every cutscene in the MSQ roullete. It helps frame it as beneficial inside and outside the game.

As a new player that loves playing healers, I love the options of doing MSQ with a DPS class and then doing a duty roulette leveling once a day as my AST. It breaks up the MSQ a little bit and acts as something quick I can login to do if I don't have time to dedicate to more MSQ that day.

Playing Classic The Burning Crusade right now with my guild. But have officially chosen to permanently walk away from current WoW. I played ARR when it came out and grew bored with the story and content. Now that I know my multi-game guild has an active FFXIV presence. I'm going to dive back into this game when I get burned out in Classic TBC. Coming back to your channel and seeing videos like this with up-to-date info on the game is going to be helpful. I'm in a similar situation, ele sham is geared pretty much bis and my guild won't give me my last couple pieces so I downloaded FFXIV to try it and I'm hooked playing this Thurmaturge trying to get to BLM and I got no desire to play TBC 🤣

I would like to add something for the people who are leveling alt job that are in the 50 to 70 range. There is a setting in the duty finder settings called limited leveling roulette that I don’t remember seeing till about 3 days ago. It chooses the dungeon based on the lowest level party member within 8 levels below them to their level. I don’t know how it full works yet. Me and my friends were did a couple dungeons last night( in a 2 stack and 3 stack) and all were in that level range to the lowest member including the randoms we got
This setting was added in the very latest patch ^^ It prevents you from getting matchmade into a dungeon 8 or more levels below the minimum level of your party. However, considering the leveling roulette bonus experience is the best source of XP by a wide margin, it's not really useful anyways. For example, the shadowbringer dungeons take so long to clear because how tanky the enemies are, I rather just get a sastasha run for the clear bonus xp.
@@Meoiswa well, it DOES give you a few advantages, first of all, it prevents you from getting thrown into to low level a dungeon that bores you mechanicaly, secondly yes, the EXP bonus IS the main source of XP in the roullette but completing a levle apropriate dungeon also gives some decent chunk of XP, so combinging the two is usefull
As someone who's going through MSQ it's a pain because I want my character to look badass but also have a job that fits the story. I leveled a ninja in ARR then finished ARR with SAM. Now I just started heavensward so I want to experience heavensward as a DRG so now I gotta level up my DRG before I start the MSQ. Dont know what I'll run in stormblood, probably samurai, then DRK in Shadowbringers. Atleast this way I'll level up a bunch of classes while going through MSQ and by the time I get through shadowbringers I'll have a good head start on a good chunk of classes.
A good leveling experience for my wife and I would be for people to actually let us watch the cut scenes and not start fights and kill bosses while we do.
@Redeemed i’ve actually had the opposite experience and i’ve been playing for 2 days! i tend to skip cut scenes but when i join dungeons i just say “hey guys, first time here” and so far in every dungeon. someone has just said “no worries” and then they’ve told me things i need to know during the dungeon and have been super helpful. I also got an invite to a free company and the people in there are amazing. if i have a dungeon as a MSQ mission, i just tell. them in chat and at least one of them always comes to just either do the dungeon normally with me or if i want it fast, they will queue it un-synced, and 1 shot everything so it’s much faster. i spent the day in a discord call with some of them and they’ve helped me so so much with questions and dungeons etc. I 100% think you should stick with it and 100000% look for a social and talkative free company with people that like to help. it’s such a nice thing as a new player
I recommend running with your FC mates and/or together. If the three of you are in a cutscenes and the 4th person pulls, they're just gonna die and wait for you anyway!
@Redeemed If you'd like, I can do dungeons with you and your family (if you're on my data center) and I simply won't pull bosses until y'all are ready! I know how daunting it can be to find a group, it's the least I could do lol
then just watch it, if they die while 2 personing the boss out of inpatience ... well they had it coming xD and if they dont u just jump into the fight later
Leveling my first character and have been having a blast. I made it to 60 on Summoner and decided to power level Black Mage and Warrior up to 60 as well. I'm having a really good time playing the game, and it's always nice knowing the MSQ is still waiting for me in Stormblood. As long as I make it to 80 before Endwalker I will be happy. Would love to do some harder content when I get to 80, but I'm not too worried about making it to 80 asap.

I would to level up from doing the story and not HAVE to do exp grinding on the side to catch my new job up. @Nungiven on a straightforward/"technical" level there isnt a reason to start a new character except EXP gain from the story. I mainly play FF14, ESO, SWTOR and eventually GW2 & WOW as a single player RPG since I have too many home distractions to do group content.
I only hit Stormblood recently but I unintentionally ended up leveling WHM all the way to my current 80 cap simply because I enjoyed playing the job so much doing roulettes repeatedly, regardless of whether or not I was getting the roulette rewards or not 😂 I just want more experience in dungeons and raids so I can become a better healer. PLD is my main and I -mainly- (lol) level that through MSQ and it’s still just as “efficient” because I’m immersed in my WoL as a character in the class that I feel fit him the most. Both are fun!!
MSQ is all you need and way too grindy long and boring for the most of it. I have done absolutely nothing but some unlock quests, the MSQ and my class quests, completing logs along the way and I was almost 10 levels above the content. >_> There's way too much EXP for the pointless MSQ's that send you all over the place for mundane tasks that are forgotten 2 minutes later. Here's hoping the story gets better because it's getting tedious af. I don't know if they did something to MSQ EXP but it's way too high if you are sticking to a single class. Gating dungeons and unlocks like the mount behind MSQ makes this pure aids since I was almost a BLM before I even got a chocobo and I've skipped every side quest since like level 5. It's annoying to get so much low level content shuffed down your throat in the MSQ and doing anything other than the MSQ even hunting logs and shit is already a huge mistake because the MSQ itself is a mistake in design.
Stuck at MSQ RN. Between doing daily Roulettes, MSQ and level boosts (like earrings) got my Bard to lvl 75 at start of Stormblood. So I went to level up red mage. After rushing to 60, I got my red mage to 70 at the start of Ruby Sea. So then I leveled up dancer and at lvl 68 almost done with Yanxia MSQ rn. I feel like I'll get 3, or maybe 4, lvl 80s by the time I finish all the MSQ. Then there's Endwalker, not even sure if I can finish Shadowbringers b4 it comes out.
1 way of leveling is doing heaven on high floor 21-30, while in the long run it'll burn you out, it will give you plenty of exp, a level 71 character will get 1.8 mil per run which is not bad for something that takes 10-15 minutes. Every 8-9 runs will grant you a level, meaning that every 1.5 - 2 hours you will level up, though if you have a fixed team and you are pretty optimized, it can take you less time. Heaven on high is also good since the exp scales with your level, so its not like you'll have to find an alternative leveling source once you reach a certain level. though to access heaven on high, you will need to be level 60 and have cleared palace of the dead floor 60. speaking of palace of the dead, its like heaven on high but accessible earlier on, so you can grind palace of the dead until level 60, then move on to heaven on high
Playing tbc, guild won't give me my last couple piece off mag and king maulgar so I downloaded FFXIV to try it and I don't even want to go back to WoW LOL
My advice to grindy people like me: Take the first level of a new expansion to check the MSQ and determine if you like it, if you don't then skip those cutscenes and motor through the MSQ (It's necessary to complete for content unlocks). Heavensward and Shadowbringers were enough to stop me in my tracks a little and don't let people dissuade you from motoring through if that's what you want to do. People can get super toxic to people who didn't care for the story and motor through the MSQ so keep that fact hidden.
Just started this game and completed ARR as paladin last week. The multitasking part is soo true. It's the only way I survived my 16 hr playsession to beat ARR
question, i have reached level cap for my free trial with my warrior after killing the second primal in heavensward should i stop and level dark knight or just move on and waste the exp ? (from my perspective i-d like to continue with the story but at the same time i think it could be more productive to invest the main story quest exp into the new class since i-m planning to buy the game after summer break ( i don't reeally wanna waste half my free moth because i am on holydays ))
If Dark Knight is something you absolutely want to play, then sure level it up and finish out the story with that job. I would suggest having a healer or a dps so you can change depending on a certain situation. (Party needs a healer, you want to join a savage raid and they already found two tanks, etc.)
I rolled warrior as my first job, once I hit 50 I switched it up to samurai… Sam is now 68 from msq and warrior is 58 from a couple of dailies a day… gathering is keeping pace but crafting fell behind… lol
That's why I fell in love with the Dragoon job. After being a previous Summoner/black mage main it just felt so monotone, spamming the same few skills over and over while renewing dots. Now I have to move around and a more substantial rotation for aoe and single target
For the life of me i've been trying to make a character that at least resembles yours' from 2:29 but i just can't seem to be able to make the eye shape look similar to yours'...
A soon to be lvl 50 PLD sprout here. This might be a somewhat unpopular opinion but I HATE THE ROAD TO 70. The MSQ drags so far behind your character level all the time, every time you get a new skill, it's takes an hour or two of level syncing down before you get to actually use that ability. It's nice to get double exp, sure but it makes the main story so damn clunky. Like I've been a PLD for a day but still it's always "Nah, you're a gladiator now buddy!" /vexed
One of my biggest problem in this game is that the leveling is way too fast. As such, I'm always undergeared and that is just not fun. Grand Company provisions also tied with level, as such, it's much harder to keep doing that since the lack of control & perception due to equipment is real, not to mention bigger gaps as you do more. I deeply regretted picking suggested server with 100% bonus exp. Also, MSQ are very tedious and gatekeeping pretty much every relevant stuff the game has to offer. Ugh
Efficiency is defined by it's speed. People running the most efficient method will finish faster than people doing methods that take 10x longer no matter how "fun" they are. Also people sleep on deep dungeon drop farming for Gil while leveling up. So not only are you leveling fast but you have a chance to get rich on the way.
@@DesperiusFFXIV that's like saying "if you die on the road, you never finish the journey." It doesn't change the fact that one route is shorter than the other.
So if I am a new player coming in and on the free to play right now till I get high light (Could be a bit) and preordered the new expansion do I get the earing exp or would I have to buy the previous expansions?(dont want to since they come with the soon to come expansion)
been playing 1 week and STILL can't find a class I want to main on, I get bored and change classes often. Not being able to skip cutscenes also makes me avoid anything I can that use non skippable ones because it is annoying.
I think new game plus is mainly for reliving the content. Not sure if you can gain exp at all. Also MSQ doesn't give much exp compared to FATEs/dungeons etc so it's not effective for leveling secondary classes at all
I am Lvl 35 conjurer on a free trial Am am asking the game to be slower with leveling cause I did all sidequests in beginners area and now I am 10 levels ahead of my story quests
Any tips on leveling slower? I'm 10ish levels above the MSQ, and it's unable to catch up. Tired of ROFL stomping everything except dungeons. Haven't done anything other then MSQ for the last 10 - 15 levels, but it still can't catch up at all.
You are never wasting levels, just make sure to not fall behind with it while also not going for a lot of other activities, while your MSQ is left behind
I started lvling how you start a typical in a mmorpgs by doing all quests. with the exp bonus im level 32 and i just got chocobo. So I lvled to quick and im guessing ill be lvl 45 before i can become a summoner cause its MSQ related. By the time I start dungeons I'm already past lvl caps Im main lining MSQ now only which puts my gear behind for my lvl.
After you join a company in Ul'dah/Gridania/Limsa Lominsa and reach a specific ranc by gaining company points and doing missions for them you can hire people for a squad. You can run dungeons with them. They can only use the base classes though, even if they are over lv 30
im started this game a month ago and i think im kinda overleveled. I joined a server with road to 70 so the exp im gaining is doubled. Im just starting stormblood and im already level 78. What should i do here? I feel like im wasting those MSQ exp by continuing the quest.
you can always level up other jobs when you reach lvl cap if you feel like doing so (it will be super fast aswell thanks to road to 70 + the exp buff for lvling alt jobs)
You could just switch to another job and get it to a lvl which is more appropriate for your current MSQ. Although it doesn't matter too much because the story quest xp isnt that big of a deal to miss out on. Since you have a bunch of alternatives to gain XP from.
I'm in the same position right now, but I out levelled MSQ even more, because for two months the only thing I've done was leveling roulette on my ninja. Now I will simply level BLM until I reach the MSQ level and go from there.
I hate MMOs where the story is the end goal. You expect me to suspend disbelief enough to think of myself as the main protagonist among other main protagonists in an online game? Not happening. -- End game shouldn't be "the journey".
Honestly, yes. I have to currently level another Character (friends decided to switch servers and SE somehow doesn't accept paypal....) and i'mma be honest: Just speed through, skip everything if you feel the need. Later, just watch some summary of it, which i'm sure there is. Once you get into Heavensward it gets so much better and not only that: in my opinion ever expansion after that gets even better, every time. Seriously, the ARR experience is dreadful imo. They should completely rework and fully voice it. Reading half a book instead of watching cutscenes somehow breaks my immersion A LOT more than speeding and skipping through everything and then later watch it.
It's worth pointing out that one of the patches in past year or so has abridged the ARR MSQ. I don't know how much; I haven't played through ARR in the past year. Lord knows there was a lot of chaff in there, whether it was a long involved quest for the wrong corrupted aether (again!), gathering ingredients as a not-very-hidden test of character, or any number of other exceedingly long quest series for very little narrative reward.
Yea A Realm Reborn is known for being not a strong point in the story, do this till around level 50 when you go into the heavensword expansion , also always fun to watch some youtube in the background
At 80 I make about 1.8 mlln gil a week from the Crystarium leves (most people do the coffee biscuit, I do the mythril file). This would become boring to do every week, but when I want gil it is there. For leveling DoH/DoL under 50 leves are incredibly fast and easy exp if you look up which ones are at your correct level. On an alt I was surprised how good the exp was. And I was reading some of the quest text and found weird lore like Silvertear Lake is called "the bathtub of the 12"..? What's that about? No idea. The CCH leves have some nice world-building text in them if you like cold weather and grumpy merchants.

I was a filthy booster and wasn't too deep into endgame shadowbringers and this time I want to experience the whole story without any skips. My old account will of course be gifted to someone in need so it's not wasted :)
Unmentioned, Boosted or preferred servers. They can be a nuisance to get a character on in prime times but it's easy to level 3 classes on a boosted server just from MSQ, hunt logs and class quests. It gets next level in crafting and gathering because the boosted 100% is a stacking boost. An example: Grand company turn in for a crafting class. Sample. It gives 10,000 experience base. Turn in HQ it gives 20,000. If it has a star that goes to 40,000. Boosted server it goes to 80,000 or 800% experience. Boosted servers are far and away the best place for a level hungry new player to be.
@@fortidogi8620 Only characters created on a boosted server, during a boosted cycle get the buff. It lasts 90 days upon creation so if by chance someone made a character the day before boosts were allocated to other server you would still get 90 days but you can't transfer servers with that character or migrate to it for benefits.
Tbh, my leveling mistake was not skipping the cutscenes, with how often I had to just sit there and watch stuff thinking it would actually impact my gameplay's path, I actually ended up quitting, when I came back I skipped every single cutscenes, got to max level and finally enjoyed the game, I even queue as GNB in the MSQ roulette to be able to Alt F4 out of the cinematic and actually start the fight by myself
1. Don't force the "Best Way" 2. Focus on Leveling instead of Main Scenario Quest 3. Forget to do your "Dailies" 4. Not doing something else 5. Don't care about efficiency.

To prevent burning out, do some stuff on the other jobs from the start, maybe one duty roulet a day regardless of the need of exp on your main class.

PLD is my main and I -mainly- (lol) level that through MSQ and it’s still just as “efficient” because I’m immersed in my WoL as a character in the class that I feel fit him the most. Both are fun!!
MSQ is all you need and way too grindy long and boring for the most of it. I have done absolutely nothing but some unlock quests, the MSQ and my class quests, completing logs along the way and I was almost 10 levels above the content. >_> There's way too much EXP for the pointless MSQ's that send you all over the place for mundane tasks that are forgotten 2 minutes later. Here's hoping the story gets better because it's getting tedious af. I don't know if they did something to MSQ EXP but it's way too high if you are sticking to a single class. Gating dungeons and unlocks like the mount behind MSQ makes this pure aids since I was almost a BLM before I even got a chocobo and I've skipped every side quest since like level 5. It's annoying to get so much low level content shuffed down your throat in the MSQ and doing anything other than the MSQ even hunting logs and shit is already a huge mistake because the MSQ itself is a mistake in design.
Stuck at MSQ RN. Between doing daily Roulettes, MSQ and level boosts (like earrings) got my Bard to lvl 75 at start of Stormblood. So I went to level up red mage. After rushing to 60, I got my red mage to 70 at the start of Ruby Sea. So then I leveled up dancer and at lvl 68 almost done with Yanxia MSQ rn.
I feel like I'll get 3, or maybe 4, lvl 80s by the time I finish all the MSQ. Then there's Endwalker, not even sure if I can finish Shadowbringers b4 it comes out.
1 way of leveling is doing heaven on high floor 21-30, while in the long run it'll burn you out, it will give you plenty of exp, a level 71 character will get 1.8 mil per run which is not bad for something that takes 10-15 minutes.
Every 8-9 runs will grant you a level, meaning that every 1.5 - 2 hours you will level up, though if you have a fixed team and you are pretty optimized, it can take you less time.
Heaven on high is also good since the exp scales with your level, so its not like you'll have to find an alternative leveling source once you reach a certain level.
though to access heaven on high, you will need to be level 60 and have cleared palace of the dead floor 60.
speaking of palace of the dead, its like heaven on high but accessible earlier on, so you can grind palace of the dead until level 60, then move on to heaven on high
Playing tbc, guild won't give me my last couple piece off mag and king maulgar so I downloaded FFXIV to try it and I don't even want to go back to WoW LOL

My advice to grindy people like me: Take the first level of a new expansion to check the MSQ and determine if you like it, if you don't then skip those cutscenes and motor through the MSQ (It's necessary to complete for content unlocks). Heavensward and Shadowbringers were enough to stop me in my tracks a little and don't let people dissuade you from motoring through if that's what you want to do. People can get super toxic to people who didn't care for the story and motor through the MSQ so keep that fact hidden.
Just started this game and completed ARR as paladin last week. The multitasking part is soo true. It's the only way I survived my 16 hr playsession to beat ARR

question, i have reached level cap for my free trial with my warrior after killing the second primal in heavensward should i stop and level dark knight or just move on and waste the exp ? (from my perspective i-d like to continue with the story but at the same time i think it could be more productive to invest the main story quest exp into the new class since i-m planning to buy the game after summer break ( i don't reeally wanna waste half my free moth because i am on holydays ))
If Dark Knight is something you absolutely want to play, then sure level it up and finish out the story with that job. I would suggest having a healer or a dps so you can change depending on a certain situation. (Party needs a healer, you want to join a savage raid and they already found two tanks, etc.)

I rolled warrior as my first job, once I hit 50 I switched it up to samurai… Sam is now 68 from msq and warrior is 58 from a couple of dailies a day… gathering is keeping pace but crafting fell behind… lol

My problem so far as a started Arcanist is I got have 2 DoT's and have to spam one skill for 30 seconds...
That's why I fell in love with the Dragoon job. After being a previous Summoner/black mage main it just felt so monotone, spamming the same few skills over and over while renewing dots. Now I have to move around and a more substantial rotation for aoe and single target

Honestly, all the side quests I've been ignoring has been the main way I've been levelling my other jobs.
For the life of me i've been trying to make a character that at least resembles yours' from 2:29 but i just can't seem to be able to make the eye shape look similar to yours'...

A soon to be lvl 50 PLD sprout here. This might be a somewhat unpopular opinion but I HATE THE ROAD TO 70.
The MSQ drags so far behind your character level all the time, every time you get a new skill, it's takes an hour or two of level syncing down before you get to actually use that ability. It's nice to get double exp, sure but it makes the main story so damn clunky. Like I've been a PLD for a day but still it's always "Nah, you're a gladiator now buddy!"

I am pretty new but I have basically just finishing Praetorium but I have been repeating it, I just do sit ups during cutscenes lol
One of my biggest problem in this game is that the leveling is way too fast. As such, I'm always undergeared and that is just not fun. Grand Company provisions also tied with level, as such, it's much harder to keep doing that since the lack of control & perception due to equipment is real, not to mention bigger gaps as you do more. I deeply regretted picking suggested server with 100% bonus exp.
Also, MSQ are very tedious and gatekeeping pretty much every relevant stuff the game has to offer. Ugh
Efficiency is defined by it's speed. People running the most efficient method will finish faster than people doing methods that take 10x longer no matter how "fun" they are.
Also people sleep on deep dungeon drop farming for Gil while leveling up. So not only are you leveling fast but you have a chance to get rich on the way.

been playing 1 week and STILL can't find a class I want to main on, I get bored and change classes often. Not being able to skip cutscenes also makes me avoid anything I can that use non skippable ones because it is annoying.
What are you looking for in the class you want to main?
What a about new game plus or whatever it was called? Can't you do all MSQ on new job?
I think new game plus is mainly for reliving the content. Not sure if you can gain exp at all. Also MSQ doesn't give much exp compared to FATEs/dungeons etc so it's not effective for leveling secondary classes at all

Haven't done anything other then MSQ for the last 10 - 15 levels, but it still can't catch up at all.
Maybe you could level a 2nd job to that level and play MSQ with that until it catches up? Idk I'm new too and also ahead of my MSQ.

You are never wasting levels, just make sure to not fall behind with it while also not going for a lot of other activities, while your MSQ is left behind
I started lvling how you start a typical in a mmorpgs by doing all quests. with the exp bonus im level 32 and i just got chocobo. So I lvled to quick and im guessing ill be lvl 45 before i can become a summoner cause its MSQ related. By the time I start dungeons I'm already past lvl caps Im main lining MSQ now only which puts my gear behind for my lvl.
Summoner is class quest related, isn’t it? So at level 30, do the class quests and you’ll get it.

What are command missions?
After you join a company in Ul'dah/Gridania/Limsa Lominsa and reach a specific ranc by gaining company points and doing missions for them you can hire people for a squad. You can run dungeons with them. They can only use the base classes though, even if they are over lv 30

im started this game a month ago and i think im kinda overleveled. I joined a server with road to 70 so the exp im gaining is doubled. Im just starting stormblood and im already level 78. What should i do here? I feel like im wasting those MSQ exp by continuing the quest.
you can always level up other jobs when you reach lvl cap if you feel like doing so (it will be super fast aswell thanks to road to 70 + the exp buff for lvling alt jobs)
You could just switch to another job and get it to a lvl which is more appropriate for your current MSQ. Although it doesn't matter too much because the story quest xp isnt that big of a deal to miss out on. Since you have a bunch of alternatives to gain XP from.

I'm in the same position right now, but I out levelled MSQ even more, because for two months the only thing I've done was leveling roulette on my ninja. Now I will simply level BLM until I reach the MSQ level and go from there.
Itd be easiest to level DNC and GNB to 70 (they start at 60) and pick up MSQ with those.

Honestly, yes. I have to currently level another Character (friends decided to switch servers and SE somehow doesn't accept paypal....) and i'mma be honest: Just speed through, skip everything if you feel the need. Later, just watch some summary of it, which i'm sure there is. Once you get into Heavensward it gets so much better and not only that: in my opinion ever expansion after that gets even better, every time.
Seriously, the ARR experience is dreadful imo. They should completely rework and fully voice it. Reading half a book instead of watching cutscenes somehow breaks my immersion A LOT more than speeding and skipping through everything and then later watch it.

It's worth pointing out that one of the patches in past year or so has abridged the ARR MSQ. I don't know how much; I haven't played through ARR in the past year. Lord knows there was a lot of chaff in there, whether it was a long involved quest for the wrong corrupted aether (again!), gathering ingredients as a not-very-hidden test of character, or any number of other exceedingly long quest series for very little narrative reward.
You can also pay to skip it, but like... dont

Yea A Realm Reborn is known for being not a strong point in the story, do this till around level 50 when you go into the heavensword expansion , also always fun to watch some youtube in the background

I haven’t done levequests since 3.0. Is there any reason to do them outside of extra xp?
At 80 I make about 1.8 mlln gil a week from the Crystarium leves (most people do the coffee biscuit, I do the mythril file). This would become boring to do every week, but when I want gil it is there.
For leveling DoH/DoL under 50 leves are incredibly fast and easy exp if you look up which ones are at your correct level. On an alt I was surprised how good the exp was. And I was reading some of the quest text and found weird lore like Silvertear Lake is called "the bathtub of the 12"..? What's that about? No idea. The CCH leves have some nice world-building text in them if you like cold weather and grumpy merchants.
Levequest are the best way to lvl up crafters but not really useful for anyone else

best advice: don't pigeonhole yourself to one method of leveling. Variety is the spice of life and there are a lot of methods of leveling.
Unmentioned, Boosted or preferred servers. They can be a nuisance to get a character on in prime times but it's easy to level 3 classes on a boosted server just from MSQ, hunt logs and class quests.
It gets next level in crafting and gathering because the boosted 100% is a stacking boost. An example: Grand company turn in for a crafting class. Sample. It gives 10,000 experience base. Turn in HQ it gives 20,000. If it has a star that goes to 40,000. Boosted server it goes to 80,000 or 800% experience.
Boosted servers are far and away the best place for a level hungry new player to be.
Do they work if you visit from another server
@@fortidogi8620 Only characters created on a boosted server, during a boosted cycle get the buff. It lasts 90 days upon creation so if by chance someone made a character the day before boosts were allocated to other server you would still get 90 days but you can't transfer servers with that character or migrate to it for benefits.

Tbh, my leveling mistake was not skipping the cutscenes, with how often I had to just sit there and watch stuff thinking it would actually impact my gameplay's path, I actually ended up quitting, when I came back I skipped every single cutscenes, got to max level and finally enjoyed the game, I even queue as GNB in the MSQ roulette to be able to Alt F4 out of the cinematic and actually start the fight by myself

3. Forget to do your "Dailies"
4. Not doing something else
