- After leaving Detroit we headed to see Tony Lawler of Tony’s Car Car (check out his YT channel and Subscribe for great tips on fixing your Ford, Mercury and Lincolns). On the way to Tony’s place in Illinois, I had a quick chat to Butch Patrick aka Eddie Munster. Watch the whole episode and you will see Tony’s award winning XL Galaxie in Action!
Nice catching up with Butch Patrick. These smaller car guys across the USA is what it's all about when travelling. It's great to see their collections and what they have. Everyone is on the same page...awesome automotive fraternities that we belong too. Cheers Fletch 👍
Thanks, Fletch!
Please give Tony’s beautiful 68 Galaxie XL a Thumbs Up 👍 and please Subscribe to my channel and Tony’s Car Care. Hope you liked the Eddie Munster section too (if you’re old enough to remember the show) 👍
Beautiful pictures in Vandalia downtown, 68 XL is looking good like it always does, recently harvested field and Farm equipment have a nice look 👍👍👍
Thanks David. Glad you enjoyed the scenery as well as the beautiful XL of Tony’s. I would love to have that one in the collection myself!
Hi from Australia, already a subscriber to Tony via Adam from rare classic cars. Sounds like my 1965 Galaxie Mark with its 390ci Police Enforcer engine, as you know it came from Ford Homebush Bay, Sydney, Aust ' plant with all the heavy-duty springs, shocks & sway bars and the spectacular ultra-high output pale metallic green police engine with the dome topped cast alloy valve covers, to make it silent, such a wonderful car, and I drove it not 4,000 miles, but 230,000 miles in 10 years and with our hot dry climate and its thick immersion painted creamy-white body, it always looked like new. The 4 best years of Galaxies , '65, '66, '67 & '68 and our Aussie RHD ones built with the exquisite '61 to '63 Lincoln Continental dash in right hand drive looked spectacular, that back-lit dash at night was fantastic, that car was addictive to drive. I wanted one from when I was a primary school child in 1965 when I saw them at the Sydney motor show and was determined to have one as an adult, and hunted until I found a 21year old one with a mere 17.000 miles on it, almost like new, it was everything I'd hoped for and then some.
Yes Greg. That was a terrific car you should have kept.
That video turned out better than I imagined it could, and to be on the same episode as Butch.....what a treat! Thank you once again so much for your excellent coverage! 😊
Thanks Tony. So glad you liked it and didn’t mind being on with Butch Patrick too. It came up really well. What a terrific car and thanks again. I feel I have a new friend in Illinois. 👍
@markbehr88 you definitely do!
🤠👍
A burnout and Eddie Munster. Who could resist!
