  • AEW is looking to release CM Punk and I don't think this is a good idea...
AEW and CM Punk are working on a contract buyout for the remainder years of his deal meaning that he’s most likely not going to return to the company. The only thing stopping them from officially moving forward is the non-compete clause that Tony Khan wants to include in the details. This is not a good idea for All Elite Wrestling and I’ll happily explain.

His best promo and one of the best of all time, the pipebomb is him whining about John Cena being considered better than him and him not main eventing Wrestlemania. I would have to disagree with you Pllana. First, some things to note.
1: There is no proof that The Elite leaked rumors about Phil Brooks. He said that they did in the scrum, but this is a he said she said situation.
2: They didn't barge in, they went with the head of legal to talk. Then Phil threw the first punch. They didn't barge in, they didn't instigate, Phil did.
3: Phil buried the entire company in that scrum. He even interrupted Tony, making him look like a powerless lackey. This isn't just two guys not getting along.
4: From what reports say, most of the locker room is anti-Phil. So keeping him around can have repercussions for morale.
Now as for the numbers, true, he has done a lot. But who's to say he can't get replaced? People said Vince couldn't replace Hogan. He did with Shawn and Bret. People said he can't replace them. He did with Austin and The Rock. People said he can't replace them. He did with John Cena. People said he can't replace him. He did with Roman Reigns. And it looks like Bron Breakker is next in line. Sure that won't happen with Vince in charge, but Vince obviously hand picked him to be the next megastar.
Sure Tony isn't Vince McMahon, but they do have guys I feel can be that replacement. Hangman Page, Wardlow, MJF, these guys are potential big draws for AEW, Tony just needs to commit.
Then there him going to WWE. I don't see that happening. Phil doesn't like Triple H, and he doesn't like Phil either. Not to say Triple H wouldn't be open to it if it's for business, but Phil Brooks is notorious for holding grudges. And honestly, would they even want him? He was a headache for them before, and allegedly said to let him be AEW's headache. Is it possible? Yes. But is it probable? I doubt it.

I don't think that firing Punk would be a risk for AEW because if Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Adam Page basically tells Tony Jhan that if Punk remains in AEW they'll like walk out of the company or do like Cody Rhodes did and not renew their contracts then he'll more or less be forced to get rid of Punk because having the 3 executive vice-presidents of your company go to WWE will make it even worse for AEW. You already have most of the former NXT top stars are either publicly or secretly they had been more patient and stayed with WWE. You have to put the pros and cons in the situation: you fire CM Punk and you give him let's just say a 90 days non compete close that you add to the time he'll need to recover from his injury (at the time I'm writing it would mean approximately 10 months) and he goes to WWE it's going to break the Internet and everybody will be talking about it non stop for sure and people will think Tony Khan is an idiot but at one point let's be realistic for 5 seconds nowadays CM Punk is basically a 43 years old glorified injury proned, problem causing failed MMA fighters that only remains relevant on things he did 11 years ago and by mentioning WWE (despite the fact he claimed multiple times that it made AEW look inferior which is kinda true especially when it was the Young Bucks who mentioned it to Y2J that made them look like absolute idiots). That plus the fact that it's very unlikely that Triple H and CM Punk could ever get along, now I know that HBK and Bret Hart managed to bury the ashes despite the Montreal Screwjob and having HBK abusing of his backstage power to screw over the British Bulldog and Owen Hart and in wrestling you can never say never but I still find it unlikely that either of them would ever get along one day. Also you'd have to take into account the possibility that the WWE locker room could be hostile to a CM Punk arrival which would be understanding if we're being honest 5 minutes. Obviously I over exaggerate things a bit but on the other hand you have Hangman Adam Page who's 31, Kenny Omega who's 39 and the Bucks who are respectfully 37 (Matt) and 33 for Nick, all of them being younger, less injury prone and 3 of them are EVP of your biggest rival so if I'm the WWE if I'm looking to take the most interesting bargain I'd take everyday Page, Omega and the Bucks. Now for sure Punk way more than the 4 of them combined (let's face it however in AEW basically you take Punk, Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson and they draw way more than the rest of the roster) but the WWE already have draws such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar so it's not too much of an issue for them

@@joeyladd8841 thanks. It's just to say that firing CM Punk is not as bad for AEW as a lot of people think. I mean it's going to cost them a ton of money but even then the positive kinda outweigh the negative because it shows that Tony Khan is not just an immature billionaire that spends his time complaining on twitter and desperately trying to hype you so much for every AEW shows that it ends up doing the contrary as well as flexing about the amount of ex WWE wrestlers he has and that he owns a Premier League club (Fulham FC) and he has actual authority. You can say whatever you want about Vince McMahon but when he had to take an unpopular decision or when someone had to be fired he did it. That would also show to the other ex WWE big names (Mox, Jericho and Danielson. Yeah to me Matt Hardy and Christian are what happens when you take Jeff Hardy and Edge and you take away every ounces of charisma they have) that he can punish you regardless of how big you are. If I was Tony Khan I would fire CM Punk then fire a few members of the roster because yeah he's plenty of talent but some of them are super overrated in my opinion ( Derby Allin to me is a water down version of Jeff Hardy, like he can't even outdo him in terms of sick bumps despite the fact that he's at the dawn of his legendary career. And Samy Guevara who's basically an inferior Andrade and he's visibly unably to properly sell a move (most indie wrestlers are completely incapable of doing it like Kenny Omega's way of selling is atrocious as are his promos which are some of the worst heel promos I've ever heard in my life. It seems that most of the wrestlers who are able to properly sell moves). Also one of things that could make it worse for AEW is if let's just say Paige on her first match she injures herself (or even worse which I hope will not happen because she's one of my 3 favourite female wrestlers ever with Lita and Becky Lynch) or if Sting injures himself and Jeff Hardy either seriously injure himself or someone that would also make people understand why they relased/ fired Jeff Hardy and didn't wanted Sting to wrestle Taker the year of his amazing Boneyard match againstStyles (I understand it's frustrating but to me had Sting directly gone to the WWE instead of going to TNA we could have had plenty of amazing matches between the two icons so to me it's Sting's fault if we never have had a match between them) that would have a serious impact on their reputation and people will probably asked themselves who made her pass tests and I can understand it was frustrating that she was never used but put yourself in WWE's position : having Paige wrestle would be super dangerous but when she was tried as a manager it was an absolute flop (now you could argue that the Kabuki Warriors and Paige aesthetically speaking didn't matched at all and I think she could have done far better with a heel Liv Morgan or Ruby Riott who both have a punk/ metal vibe but even then she's not the best talker so even with one of those I doubt it would have worked either

Page may have lit the fire, but Punk poured gas all over it and threw the Bucks and Omega into it as kindling. As much as Punk has brought up other people's business in the ring - scripted, agreed upon or not - he deserves the brunt for starting the physical fight.
Going to talk to him while he is still heated is the best way to approach it since the raw and real emotions can be expressed and then worked through. Waiting for him to cool down wouldn't matter because everyone knows that Punk would just say it all over again and it could have still become a fight. At this point, it might really be better to just let Punk go instead of letting it boil back up by trying to make it a feud or doing worse by trying to ignore it and hope they work together with the tension thick in the air for maybe years.

I want to know why that little coward Punk waited three months to suddenly just dredge it up again out of nowhere, expecting everyone to know what the hell he was talking about, and waited until Page didn't have the opportunity to respond. Punk knew that Page wouldn't be able to respond. Not without making himself look bad by storming through gorilla. At least Page said what he said to Punk's face.

Punk was 100% correct about Page and The Elite, and wrestling "journalists", where he screwed up was how he addressed it.

Cm punk after the media scrum returning as a heel would be really entertaining and it would bring so many more eyes to Aew especially if he feuds with the elite

CM Punk always been overrated. Ever since he beat Jeff in 2009, I couldn't stand him. Then, he had that feud with Triple H like 2-3 years later and let his personal feelings get in the way of business. I knew Triple H was right when he said basically said CM Punk is all for change as long as it benefits him. He also stole Chris Jericho's "Best In The World".
I don't hate him but, he is overrated especially by his fans. He can cut a hell of a promo even beat The Rock on the mic back in 2013 but, he's no Stone Cold.
And you wrong putting that clip of Jordan Poole getting knocked out 🤣🤣🤣

yeah, CM punk is in fault, dude got mad at someone who got off script which is very normal in aew seems like. He blasted AEW who he works for right next to the boss/CEO of aew. then started a fight with Mutiple people. Also, the locker room on elite side on this. CM talking about working for kids as he hasn't act like one in AEW, or even WWE. Also seems like AEW doing find without CM punk and should keep the younger people instead of someone who gets hurt and old.

    CM Punk doesn't need AEW
    AEW needs CM Punk
They can pull off a supervillain arc for punk by this drama adding fuel to his fire and in turn flipping his switch that can tak aew to greater heights.
And if all this is true and by any way CM Punk returns back to WWE, it's game over for AEW. Triple H can put all personal differences aside for the business and will push CM Punk to such heights the likes we'll never see.
Just because some losers online and in locker room are frustrated and are most certainly jealous doesn't give them the right to cancel a Legend like CM Punk.
Hate on my opinion all you want, but facts are facts and you all butthurts in my replies crying like a biaatch won't change that.
I'm with CM Punk on this situation.
You can't make false rumours of someone and expect no backlash.
I still hope this is all a work because it can lead to one of the best storylines of all time which will culminate in a CM PUNK VS KENNY OMEGA match For the AEW World championship.
The money they'll make is gonna be astronomical 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Most likely Punk will walk out from AEW. I really like Punk and I think he has his own issues, but I think he is getting the same treatment he got in WWE. I think this is one of the reasons he walk out from WWE. Punk has said many times he doesn’t take crap from anyone. I never understood why WWE didn’t let Punk be the next Stone Cold Steve Austin. I think it could had made them a lot of money if they had give Punk what he wanted, both sides would had won. I think AEW has the opportunity that WWE wasted with CM Punk in their side.

I think that's just fine. Punk NOT being in AEW won't destroy the promotion. Disrespectful rants like that, burying the talent instead of trying to work it out backstage is what will destroy AEW. TK not stopping Punk while he was RIGHT NEXT TO HIM was favoritism to the highest degree.

This video is filled so much misinformation. The Elite went to Punk with AEW's head of legal to talk, Punk threw a punch, Ace bite Kenny for trying move Larry out of the way, then one them his Nick in the face with a chair. Nobody ear was bite, it was the arm. Also, he has been said by all the news sites that The Bucks/Kenny said shit them about Punk trying to get Cabana fired Get you facts straight before making a video

  • @ChrisFerrell
    @ChrisFerrell Рік тому +1

Some of the things you stated as facts were disproven weeks ago. The Bucks didn’t kick the door down and that was debunked by folks like Meltzer and Sean Ross Sapp. Reports are out there that the EVPs brought agents and head of legal in the room with them to talk. Then they got punched and Kenny bitten. All this after Punk buried the locker room.
The dirtsheets have also said the locker room has pretty much soured on Punk. Keeping one man and pissing odd the entire locker room might be a bad idea. In an ideal world they find a way to make money off all this. But you have to have people that will agree to do that.

  • @FraZzJ

The issue is the way Punk goes about dealing with things. If Punk went about things better he could end up on top more often instead of just burning bridges.
I 100% agree tho, it takes 2 to fight, so Punk shouldn't be the only one punished. And the no-compete is too fking petty.

honestly AEW could make a really good heel vs heel feud with CM Punk vs the elite, alot of the best feuds in wrestling usually involve some backstage heat. Randy Savage vs Hulk Hogan in '89, Bret Hart Vs Shawn Michaels in '96-'97, Edge vs Matt Hardy in 05, Booker T vs Batista in 06, and many other feuds.

  • @DeadmanInc336

I've noticed that the overwhelming majority of anti-Elite, pro-Punk fans in the comments have a very difficult time commenting without coming off very emotional, combative, hyper/passive aggressive, and very vindictive when talking about this situation. Especially when it comes to talking about Page, Omega, or the Bucks. They just seemingly get so mad and worked up so quickly that you can't expect a rational discussion with them. It's a very interesting observation I made. No wonder they gravitate towards Punk. They have the same shitty communication skills and shitty people skills as Punk. 🤔
