Henderson's Relish is basically a vegetarian alternative to Worcestershire sauce. Worcestershire sauce contains anchovies while Henderson's doesn't, the main difference in flavor is that Henderson's lacks a 'fishy' taste otherwise the flavor profile is comparable. The more you know 😅

The bottle does not say Worcestershire sauce, you are correct (though it is identical to a Lea and Perrins bottle). What it does say though is that it is a SPICY table sauce, which you said in your previous video you like to put a lot on. Even though this is not it, good try on making the West African dish! The name of the dish is called Jollof rice. There are a few countries known for this: Ghana ( where i'm from), Senegal, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria among others. Joloff rice has many variations which is probably why you saw a different version in each video you saw. I once saw a show about "Joloff Wars" because not only did each country (it's African) have a version, each family had their own special version! And thanks for showing the relish bottle. I asked about relish because it's something very different in the US.

I went over to Mablethorpe for a couple of weeks and saw some Hendersons in a little supermarket and bought the lot to bring back here with me. It’s nothing like Worchestershire sauce. I can’t eat that but I love me some Hendersons on my cheese on toast 😂😂 x

Kay, l collect old recipe books, and a couple of years ago l found a Henderson's relish recipe booklet. I think it was published in the 1980s. If l sent it to you, would you cook something from it? You could show the recipe and picture at the beginning of the video, and then your end product for comparison.
