    I am loyal Toro Timemaster fan but I am 56. I am in great shape and I love cutting my .65 acre lawn every 5-7 days but Hart's rider is just what I was looking for as a backup for the future. Cub Cadet has a similar rear engine gas and battery but the Hart just seems better built though the Cub Cadet looks cooler.
    Regardless, Hart/Ryobi did a great job with this mower.

      Has HART considered how potential customers are supposed to store it during the winter, given that the batteries are not removable?
      There is degradation and worse, outright damage that can come from low temperatures, even when stored in a shed or garage. Winter storage of lithium ion batteries is a normal practice, which cannot be done when the batteries are not removable in such large devices.

    Very nice! You mentioned what we would like to see. I don’t think either is available quite yet, but I’m debating between the Toro Attachment series, and the Echo DPAS series Trimmer/Edgers. I currently have the Toro 60V mower and blower, so I’m invested in that battery platform, but I also have several Echo PAS attachments that will work on the new Echo platform. Thank you!

  • @juno9236

    Electric lithium riding mower is the way to go. It's my fourth year in my Weibang 72volt e-rider and I still love it that I cut every week since I don't need to buy gas and it's quiet. If I don't have one yet I'll go for Hart cause it's a big upgrade, 80 volt and quick charge. I let my battery cool off for at least an hour or two before I charge it. It's still letting me cut the front and the back of my yard with ample battery left. I tackle uphill frontal not sideways and I don't have a problem. I am not a fan of joystick Ryobi zero turn lithium, and I read it's not good for hilly yard, but if they make a lithium with steering wheel or zero turn but not joystick then I will also consider. I just want to control the speed of the mower with my foot instead of the joystick, plus holding the steering wheel give me more security than just holding a joystick I might be ejected on a not so perfect yard. Thanks for the vid.

    Release date is May 1st.
    Price: Its been claimed by some reviewers that the MSRP $3,900.00 (too high given Ryobi's new 0 turn, with removeable batteries is the same price)
    Batteries are NOT removable/replaceable (This is concerning).
    On that note: Ryobi has some very interesting models coming out next month as well. They went full 0 turn using a joystick control scheme.
    The current Craftsman lithium ion version of this type of mower is junk, and the older Ryobi models use lead acid battery packs, which can possibly be swapped out for lithium ion batteries. The cost wouldn't be cheap though.

      As of 6/15, Ryobi STILL has not released theirs, and have raised the price by $500 on each size! ($4500 for the 30” size.) Also, they are not forthcoming with any reasons for the delay or the price increase. (Trust me, I’ve tried!) I assume you realize that Hart is a ‘sister’ company of Ryobi under the same parent comany, TTI…

    • @deuswulf6193
      @deuswulf6193 2 роки тому

      @@waynebinder8547 Yup, the 80v batteries in the Hart are identical to the Ryobi as well. Seems like neither Hart nor Ryobi (under TTI) want to admit that.
      Since the Hart is basically a rebranded version of Ryobi's last gen model with their 80v system installed, it makes more sense to just grab that for $3400 over the mobility scooter Ryobi at $4500, assuming one is aiming for the 30".
      In fact I'm getting pretty close to just grabbing the Hart as an off brand Ryobi while it only cost $3400. Still high, but I'm done with gas and the other brand electrics are largely out of stock these days, at least for my area.

    • @deuswulf6193
      @deuswulf6193 2 роки тому

      These are made by TTI, so it is going to be a rebranded ryobi (older model) with the newer ryobi's battery system. The Toro, Craftsman and I believe even the Cub Cadets are also rebrands of the same model or from the same source, so they all experience some of the same issues. Might be wrong on the Cub Cadet.
      The only comparison you need to bother about at this point is price.
      Older Ryobi in that form factor is like $2600. This Hart version is about $3999.

    I just do not understand why companies do not put deck wheels on their riding mowers. Mowers like this have a real problem if a wheel drops into a hole the deck doesn't float but instead scalps the ground with is really hard on the blade. If you are lucky, it just scalps and dules the blade slightly. If you are unlucky, it bends the blade. Just a stupid design.

  • @WhistleLad
    @WhistleLad 2 роки тому +5

    No removable batteries makes this a no go for me.
    If you want to keep mowing after an hour, you can’t just swap the batteries and keep moving. Instead you’ll have to find an outlet to plug in for hours at a time. So basically you can only mow for 1 hour per day. Yikes that’s a narrow market.
    Not to mention built-in batteries will degrade much faster than removable ones would. Most garages and sheds are not climate controlled which will drastically reduce the life of the built-in batteries since you can’t store them elsewhere.
    Foolish design. This mower will only be worth a look if you have a small lawn and an established home with a climate controlled garage to store the mower 🏡
    I’m guessing after 3 years the batteries will be half of their current capacity. If they’re asking 3000-$4000 for this, you’re paying one thousand per year of use.
    It’s a disposable tractor, meant for less than 5 years of use. Very wasteful. Such a shame.
    TTI makes Hart, Ryobi, and Milwaukee. Go with the Ryobi over this Hart tractor. It has removable batteries, more features, is more rugged, is much more powerful and will last longer. Or, wait for Milwaukee to come out with a riding mower in two decades once they finally get around to it.
    I use Hart push mowers to maintain 5 properties. They do the job well and can go all day when I switch out the batteries. I am very disappointed to learn that there is no shot I add this tractor to my equipment. Totally unusable for anyone who mows their family’s lawns or their church or a cemetery like I do.
    Do better Hart. I want to respect your brand, but you just released a $3,999 disposable. 😑
