Im definitely hooked into the ego ecosystem. I started with the new 28 inch snow blower and the same 800 cfm leaf blower, will continue with the weed wacker, edger, zero turn and what ever else i can find. Man, never going back to gas and oil
My Z6 worked great for a few months. It's now been in the repair shop twice. The first time, was in for 4 weeks. It's now going on 6 weeks this time with no support from EGO.
No support from Ego? It has a 5 year warranty and Ego has been fantastic every time I have needed to call them (other than wait time). They should have setup the repair for you and cover the cost if you registered it.
@@jamie8917 @egopowerplus My Z6 is registered and still under warranty. There was no cost to me for the repair. However, it took 6 weeks just for EGO to ship out the part needed for the repair. In the meantime, the grass doesn't stop growing. I had numerous pleasant conversations with EGO reps. I was told many times they would call me back with an update, didn't happen. EGO customer support manager told me they were going to overnight the part that I needed, didn't happen. I reached out to have an EGO manager get back to me about my experience and.... nothing. The repair shop informed me they also have similar experiences with EGO. A lot of friendly talks that are just filled with empty promises.
My oldest Ego battery is 5 years old and it is down to 90% of original capacity and that is the old style without the battery meter. I have been very happy with EGO batteries.
With lithium in general they last well, especially if LiFePO4 which i assume these are. They won't be using anything that beats other brands by a large margin.
@@dslgod The Ego power station has an app that shows exact percentage of the battery. After a battery is fully charged it will show 100% and then if I put it back on a day or so later it drops down to the actual percentage which was about 90%. New batteries stay at 99 or 100%. I can also use the app from the zero turn mower to see individual battery percentage.
You forgot to add both speed at wheel and blade have boost modes. This mower is fun and quiet, I like it a lot for having it approx a year now with 6 batteries. The only con I have so far is with this heat wave we’re having seems the batteries might be degrading….. i wouldn’t recommend this for commercial use because of the heat. I mow my 1.5 acres and get down to 75% or more depending on the heat. More batteries equals less degrading and heavier price tag.
Dig or find a hole in ground. Place camera inside pointing up towards the sky. Drive over the hole. Shoot at 120 fps so you can slow down the shot in post. Mystery solved.
The power load really sucks . I bought one a the very first time I use it ran out of line . Then tried to use the power load and we’ll I took it back to Lowe’s .
My boss bought one lastspring. We used it a few times and it quit charging. It spent the whole summer getting repaired. They had to give us a new charger and replaced battery monitor and discharge board under the batteries. Right after we got it back, the right blade motor stopped working. I fixed that myself. A pin in the deck plug came unclicked. This spring came and we used it a few times again and it crapped out again. Now the display won't turn on and when you push the on button., the red light above the display turns red and the the green light to the start button won't shut off. Even if you pull the key out. I had to take the batteries out to get them to turn off. I bought a new $500 engine for our old 1999 MTD riding mower and it's still going strong. The EGO was a $6000 mistake.
Hey you should try ryobi they have alot better warranties ive heard their batteries dont last extremely long but i believe they come with a 3-5 yr warranty so by then the battery will probably show its true colors ive heard nothing but good about ryobi except for their batteries but they have amazing warranties so as long you register the battery and stuff within 90 days i think you get that 3-5yr warranty
They make Lawn striping things for that, unless you’re talking about the stripes on the grass from the wheels, Then he’s just cutting the grass too short to be able to tell
I have this zero turn with the lap bars. My yard is .38 and with four batteries on 2nd level speed and 2nd level blade speed I have 23 percent battery life left after cutting. No way it does 2.5 acres on 4 batteries
This machine is *WAY* bigger more important than Tesla given the entire ecosystem plus warranty plus retail support. Why do I need to own a car anymore? The only thing now missing from this item are two axles/four wheels behind the driver seat and a suspension system. E-GO *"just like that"* has changed the entire Transportation Industry upon the entire USA. Next up: Solar City
Just for the price of the mower you could pay someone to cut your yard for multiple years. Add in trimmer, blower, edger, replace batteries in a few years….🤦♂️ Way too expensive for most people.
For the price, I am not putting together anything. I will stick with my Toro steering wheel and my scagg lap bars. I know with them I can cut 10 yards without worrying about neither one going dead 😂😂
This whole electric fad is absolutely ridiculous. Thanks but no thanks. Nobody is ever going to force me into electric cars and power equipment. I like my gas powered mower and blower.
If it was a "fad" then every single auto manufacturer worldwide wouldn't be heavily invested in them at every level. Face it, it's just a matter of time whether you like it or not.

@@tomski3030That’s quite disappointing…
@@tomski3030you just helped me to look at other mowers.
Have you tested or do you plan to test Ryobi's electric zero turn mower? Thanks. Love the review.
I am interested in seeing how much the batteries degrade over time. That is the one reason why I have yet to purchase on of the electric mowers.

So sweet! These new electric zero turns are awesome. No maintenance!
Absolutely! No oil changes, no gas, no belts... it's so nice
All blades dull over time
Beautiful video production!! I appreciate the time and effort that went into this.
What’s it like to clean from a heavy st Augustine yard?
I work on them thay are good for about a 2 years but be prepared to bring it in for repair when thay stop working 😊
what’s the biggest issue(s)? any way to avoid them?

The other ego riding mower has a "extra" hidden speed mode. Doesnt cut at all but will fly like a go-kart
Which one?
Just turned 26 and have a 2 year old and for my first actual dad gift I want this 😂
cool story bro
Getting it worked on is a major concern, have you had issues that needed a repair?
What happens to the shipping frame it comes in?
You can use it as a dob kennel
Can you hook a bagger on this? A leaf blower?
how in the world did you get that shot at 4:18? Great video btw!

It looks like it’s good for flatland, but is it good for country land?
The drifting😅😂

This steering wheel or Ryobi's steering stick?
Oooh... maybe a comparison video?
All those Ryobi tools in the background 😂
Excellent video! I hope the dent in the crate did not cause any issue. It was great to see this thing in action! -Joe
Thanks, Joe! Thankfully the cage protected the mower and no dents, scratches, or any issues
Grg
To be fair it's quite fast to reload a trimmer once the string is through the hole. Just turn it 10 or 15 times.
Mulch around those small trees so you don't get close to the tree itself. That tree looks like it's been damaged already.
you got a riding lawn mower for what looks like 1/3 an acre?
Dose that mover have a grass catcher???
Yes
It doesn’t seem to put those nice stripes in though

$6K? for 42” wide!😮
for 6 grand i ll buy a John Deere
Or a scagg
Technically it should do 4.5 acres with 6X 12Ah batteries. Insane.
The Ego app is total trash!
How is the cut quality?
great

Gas 🤔🤔

10yrs away from this being useful
