Another useful tip is to pop a heal over time ability right before u enter a fight even at full health... it helps mitigate incoming damage in the first few seconds of combat...
This video shows why you are the GOAT of ESO content providers. I strayed and chased the elite pvpers , but I was just watching them play and trying to figure out what they are doing. You break it down and explain it. 4 minutes of your vids are worth an hour of theirs.
I'm so used to constantly buffing myself that on my necros, I tend to forget NOT to do it when inside a city, and I get bounty all the time. I'm always ready for the guards' attack, though :)
To sum up this video in a short way id say your top 3 things are this. 1. Understanding your Character. Know your strengths, your build, the strategy for your build. Really break It down, toy with it, practice. The cool thing about ESO is that theres so many set combinations and whatnot that no matter what you’re running you can probably make it work. 2. Positioning. This is arguably the most important thing, but I say knowing your character because honestly that can make all the difference. Positioning corrected can keep you alive when you shouldn’t be, let you get kills when you catch people who aren’t positioning well, and put you in situations where you can make the shot calls necessary to your performance. 3. Knowing the meta. Knowing what’s good is important. People will always exploit what is broken. I personally always have a lot of success playing off meta builds that just counter broken shit. This isn’t always the key, but it always is something to keep in mind.
I have off and on played this game for almost 6 years, I have PVP'd many times, but never have I ever looked at any of these aspects. I just zerg, you have completely changed my perspective of PVP in ESO. Thank you Deltia, nothing compares to these guides!
Best defense for tower/rock humpers is to just ignore them. Go slap them off of any siege and burn it when they go sprint for safety. Then just ignore em.
Just wanna say I hope you never quit what you do you're the only eso content creator I like love your information builds and guides, you got a lot of hate back when the game was new but I think you've come a very long way!!!
I think this is a really great and important video, highlighting both the methods for improvement and also the reminder at the end that a certain amount of 'uncomfortable leaning period' is necessary
Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for. I went through many pvp build vids and write ups. But no one explains the base ingredients to create a good build.
be aware of meta classes/builds and no go builds would be one of my points. I had sets for my templar I got clapped really hard. Do constant dmg while running away, to force the enemy to retreat, so you have an opening for a burst counter. DO NOT USE STUNS IF THE ENEMIE IS AT FULL HEALTH AND FULLY BUFFED . This one is one of my personal triggering moments when people try to burst someone with full health and 10 buffs on. Use the right Potion and Bufffood. Use jumps in a fight so when you get stunned, you still travel through the air for a bit and this can lead to a fucked up hit box and the possibility, that the enemy player misses his attacks while you are stunned.
just another clutch video, just extremely helpful and useful. the tips are great and the jokes had me cracking up. S tier best way to explain this video
What he calls bounding I, in my old school playing, call kiting. After hearing all this, I can see why this one hard to take out player mentioned to me that she used a chest piece from the one piece armor sets that mainly helped with magic regeneration. Along with the other gear mentioned by her and the things on this episode, it becomes more clear and makes sense now.
Just 4 months into ESO and fought you a couple of times in Cyro, can't wait to be one of those annoying hard-to-be-killed players like this 🤣 thank you for the really useful infos and tips!
for the mobility skill, my stamcro uses mist form (the speedy one) as an alt to rat (cuz i refuse to farm it without my addons, dont have any atm, nothing i can do about it) yes it is a channel but because i run ironblood on the same bar it helps a ton for my survivability and heals for 5 seconds after, so i figured i may as well mention it here :)
i havnt played ESO in years and just looked at how it doing......and Holy shit last i new about Deltia was he was signing off........good to see you back. great job getting in shape.
I play in no-CP/no-proc and I use 1pc Kra'gh and 1pc Valkyn Skoria for nearly 3000 penetration, plus Spriggans for another almost 3500, then a sharpened maul for I don't even know how much. On my front bar I'm running around 11k penetration with 4.3k weapon damage - passively, no procs. From this video I see I need to work on my buff cycling though. And my rock humping.
I’ve been playing some ESO lately and have gone back to one of my longest running characters - High Elf Stamplar (mage ?) and not only have I been doing writs regularly, but I do the scrying thing too. Trying to get the coin for the Coldharbour Surreal Estate - my dream house. I have a Magcro Vampire and a plain ol Dark Elf Vampire that I plan to move in there, plus quite a few dark and sinister pieces of furniture that I think would go great in there. Fingers crossed that I can get the rest of the coin soon just so I can afford my dream house.
I did go sword and shield but changed to damage staff on front bars then healing on back bars sometime last year and it’s actually been working out for me.
Don't do PVP yet but I see the usefulness of this strat in PVE as well. Focusing only on damage has made me a "walking soul gem". Going to take some of your tips and apply them to my PVE build. You can't do mega damage if you're dead...
Yeah even on pve builds unless in fully comped group i would always still slot a self heal and an armor buff… the precise reason i love stamsorc is because surge gives major brut and heals and your amor ability also does considerable damage!
Good video, cyrodil still has lots of cheaters (not accusing you at all). They don't have to wait for an ult potion burst, they don't have to gank you, they just drill you down no matter what you and the other five people with you do. Frankly, it makes the game suck sometimes.

Ever heard of a guy named Celtic? He is a major PVP player and somewhat infamous. Do you use a custom UI? I have a 32x9 Aspect ratio monitor and it spreads out the resource bars across the screen. Having them bunched together like that would be a huge help.
Could you recommend something for a newer StamBlade? I've setup one of your builds and try to play like you've mentioned but get melted so fast. Still absolutely LOVE your playstyle and videos.
Keep at it. Nb is a dance. No matter what you do to your character, you will always be squishy. But get your rotation down pat, and get your heals off, and you will soon get it. Just a bit of a learning curve with the nb. Gotta know when to stop dps since nb do soo much damage, but in bursts.
I knew some of this stuff already but thank you for the most informative pvp video I've seen so far that's almost more helpful than any of the online pvp guides & multiple builds I've read. I usually have a ping of 275-300 so I've created pvp builds focused on defence & sustain because often my abilities & attacks don't hit other players & or my reaction is slowed/delayed in response to getting attacked. I go for at least 29-30+k health & 33+k resistances but does the stacking of buffs (minor/major protection) provide more defence than being at or slightly over the resistances cap?
I am not exactly sure since I'm a scrub myself, but I think resistances are capped at 33k. So if you apply minor and major buff on yourself it will make more sense to settle for 23 - 24k resistance since you'll buff up to reach 33k. Not 100% sure on this one though, maybe someone can confirm? :)
@@bernhardpepetomatokarsten3320 yeah that all true but being above resistance cap in pvp isnt a bad thing because if you have 40k resista fully buffed once somebody applies major (and possibly minor) breach to you you will still be at or close to the resistance cap.
Yes IMO, remember resistance cap is a pve thing. Sure you have 40k, but someone can have 20k pen. Also around 5900 armor = 8% damage reduction so you can kinda gage it. I found more spell/weapon damage with skills effective vs armor since Balorgh can rip it to shreds.
Yeah on some of my builds with major resolve I get resistances above the cap as high as 36K which I thought wasn't a waste given penetration would cut down the resistance anyway.
Does the race against time movement speed boost almost cancel out the Ironblood set movement speed reduction? Or will it cancel the damage mitigation it gives you?

Its fine if you have the recovery’s and you understand when to use your heavy attacks. For a newb this is a bad idea. They burn to many resources because most of them want to build into straight damage and do not understand that it’s about survivability when they first start in PvP and don’t fully understand their build either because they are using someone else build and do not understand that play style is also a key factor that plays into your build. ;) I’ve also noticed that people want to try to build a specific rotation. This is not PvE. We do not have a set rotation. Doing so makes you very predictable and a skilled PvP’er is not only paying attention to their environment but we are also paying attention to our targets and learning what and when they are using certain abilities and picking an choosing our spots to place attacks.
@@darklordhayden I usually don’t have an issue with recovery but instead of hitting coag I’ll hit rapid regen cause I’m so used to my stamdk rotation of igneous shields vigor then coag and it was a insta heal
I run a build on stamplar that is armor master a crafted set and pariah with vampire 3 for pariah v2. I use the chest and legs from pariah the rest medium armor master with Balorgh medium. So 5 medium 2 heavy with markyn ring. I run a sharpened pariah maul then have all infused and weapon damage on jewelry. It sits at 5k weapon damage with 10k pen and near 50k resistance at low health to account for people running high pen.
@@nomad4594 it’s caped in pvp too. So you can’t reduce incoming damage only with resistance value more then 50%. But you can still use more then the cap cus of opponents penetration since it obviously reduce your resistance. In pve that doesn’t matter.
Set have effects that are active on you depending on the number of set pieces you wear. Normally 5 pieces are the maximum where 5/5 pieces grants you a special set effect. So you want to wear 5 pieces of you can (there are a few exceptions to this, f.ex. Monster sets with their 2 pieces or the single antiquities pieces) The problem however is: your character has 12 slots, 7 on the body armor, 3 on the jewelry and 2 on your weapons (they are always considered 2 slots, wether you playing duals or two-handed/staff weapons) So if you are running calcs: You can run 2 fully fleshed-out 5 pieces-sets and then you still have 2 slots that are available. However, at lvl 15. you are granted a second weapon that you can swap to, you you are gaining an aditional 2 slots. But, if you swap to your other weapon, the game only counts your actively used weapon slots towards you set pieces effects: For example: You have 3 pieces of armor from set A equipped and 2 pieces of weapons from set A equipped. That means you have the 5/5 bonus active. Ans lets say you also run 3 pieces of armor from set B, granting you some effects from set B, but no all since you only have 3/5 equipped. Now, let’s assume your backbar has a sword and shield from set B equipped. So you switch to your sword and shield, which means you now have 3 pieces from set B on armor AND 2 pieces from set B on weapon slots which gives you new effects as you have the 5/5 effects from set B But you also LOSE the 5/5 effects from set A now as you lose two pieces from set A (your 2 slots on your frontbar weapons) granting you only 3/5 effects from set A UNTIL you swap back to your initial weapon(s) With this, you can play around quite a lot, especially if you front bar weapon is for offense and you backbar is for defense. =)
Yeah I'd check my builds out, it's the most optimal way to play, monster helm, mythic, front bar (only active on offensive) back bar (only active when healing). Kinda how most people play.
Deltia: you need to rewire you brain to scan and evaluate your surroundings PC EU AD players: what ? So many times I've saw a group of AD players run past enemies and I'm the AH that goes and chases then only to be beat down when the full group ressed at their camp
Seems like everyone in Cyrodiil annoyingly uses the caltrop ability. Any tips to defend against this while effectively keeping up health and damage or do I just need to be at least level 1000 or above champion?
I have just returned after a long break. I ran pariah 5 piece on my mag DK for pvp and it worked great for survivability, or at least used to. Is it still a decent 5 piece pvp set or should I try to get iron blood or something else
I know it's been a while, but I'm glad you're back man. Some of your videos a few years back were not my favorite. The stuff you've been posting recently is top notch though.
Video was interesting, but not everyone who plays wants to do PvP it is mostly for those who can't comprehend their is a story behind the game. The PvP is just a bonus.
Question about Pain's refuge: would you want to keep the minimum points in Mystic Tenacity such that you don't limit the time of negative effects on you?
Biggest trick if you want to 1vx. Play when it doesn't lag like crazy because otherwise numbers will win when you cast one buff refresh for 4 seconds xD
i started at 16k hp. yes it hurt llike hell when i faced off against werewolves, vamps and jabplars at first but my pve build ate them alive if i initiated before they did. i now still run this build and average 3 kills per death. occasionally ill run into one of these hyper tanky players and it becomes a game of slowly burning them down before there allies appear or they catch me in a stun.
i practiced mobility and postitioning and a burst refusing to use healing, stuns or damage reductions. now i use the mage guild entropy on multiple targets to keep my hp maintained, also helps me track players who dont go invis, if they do go invisable the animation just comes from the last position they were when they wherent invisable.
I will say this only once. Positioning positioning positioning. When I die I ask myself 3 basic questions. Why did I die. Could I have been positioned elsewhere. Last but not least 3rd how could I have avoided this death. I play the worst class in gameAnd I make mag blade look overpowered. It's not uncommon for me to go 1 verse 30. I also use a one Dodge roll rule. One Dodge roll away from line of sight. @Abscess PC NA.
30k health , 33k armor at full health with Pariah set, Vamp stage 3, Skull Kandy food, and slotted flare for 10% dmg reduc.................................................. wait for it....................................... im still melting like butter. You’ve earned my respect and my hate at the same time. Most of us had to learn all this the hard way and you gave newbs the answers. What’s the point in studying for a test if you have a cheat sheet.
I see it more as a study guide or multiple choice, sure the answers are in front of you, but you still have to learn how and when to use everything. Everything is easy face value, its putting into play where it becomes the challenge.
Thats a good video. But tbh advising people to use sets like ironblood or engine guardian is like telling FPS players to go prone in some bushes with thermal lmg. Full carry. Thats got nothing to do with being a good player.

@@darklordhayden I usually don’t have an issue with recovery but instead of hitting coag I’ll hit rapid regen cause I’m so used to my stamdk rotation of igneous shields vigor then coag and it was a insta heal
what addon are you using to get the counter on skill bar?
Jesus Christ the sweat is real I never thought someone could stack that much resistance
@slimer green in pve sure.
@@nomad4594 it’s caped in pvp too. So you can’t reduce incoming damage only with resistance value more then 50%. But you can still use more then the cap cus of opponents penetration since it obviously reduce your resistance. In pve that doesn’t matter.
@slimer green I'm trolling 😆
This is the BEST ESO PVP guide to get even !
Extra! Extra! SECRET EXPOSED!!! Great vid man!
new player here, what is a back bar set? armor set is not the same in front and back? just change wepons?
Set have effects that are active on you depending on the number of set pieces you wear. Normally 5 pieces are the maximum where 5/5 pieces grants you a special set effect. So you want to wear 5 pieces of you can (there are a few exceptions to this, f.ex. Monster sets with their 2 pieces or the single antiquities pieces)
The problem however is: your character has 12 slots, 7 on the body armor, 3 on the jewelry and 2 on your weapons (they are always considered 2 slots, wether you playing duals or two-handed/staff weapons)
So if you are running calcs:
You can run 2 fully fleshed-out 5 pieces-sets and then you still have 2 slots that are available.
However, at lvl 15. you are granted a second weapon that you can swap to, you you are gaining an aditional 2 slots.
But, if you swap to your other weapon, the game only counts your actively used weapon slots towards you set pieces effects:
For example:
You have 3 pieces of armor from set A equipped and 2 pieces of weapons from set A equipped. That means you have the 5/5 bonus active. Ans lets say you also run 3 pieces of armor from set B, granting you some effects from set B, but no all since you only have 3/5 equipped.
Now, let’s assume your backbar has a sword and shield from set B equipped.
So you switch to your sword and shield, which means you now have 3 pieces from set B on armor AND 2 pieces from set B on weapon slots which gives you new effects as you have the 5/5 effects from set B
But you also LOSE the 5/5 effects from set A now as you lose two pieces from set A (your 2 slots on your frontbar weapons) granting you only 3/5 effects from set A UNTIL you swap back to your initial weapon(s)
With this, you can play around quite a lot, especially if you front bar weapon is for offense and you backbar is for defense. =)
@@lifequality thx a lot.
Yeah I'd check my builds out, it's the most optimal way to play, monster helm, mythic, front bar (only active on offensive) back bar (only active when healing). Kinda how most people play.
Hey Deltia, great information and love the videos. im hopeing you could try to provide a pvp build (1Bar) for the magpar
I've got that same 3x4 cube shelf!! Except mine is a 4x4!!
I need more junk to display for sure.
Deltia: you need to rewire you brain to scan and evaluate your surroundings
PC EU AD players: what ?
So many times I've saw a group of AD players run past enemies and I'm the AH that goes and chases then only to be beat down when the full group ressed at their camp
Dude, that was great. Helpful, quick, and funny.
Hell yeah fellow PVPer was airborne infantry in the 82nd man!
new pvper here! Thank you for the vid.
Glad you enjoyed!
If my magica is highest and weapon damage is highest will abilities scale with those or are mag+spell dmg and stam+weapon dmg grouped together
Seems like everyone in Cyrodiil annoyingly uses the caltrop ability. Any tips to defend against this while effectively keeping up health and damage or do I just need to be at least level 1000 or above champion?
That “you know who you are” 3 minutes in cut deep lol 🤣😢
I have just returned after a long break. I ran pariah 5 piece on my mag DK for pvp and it worked great for survivability, or at least used to. Is it still a decent 5 piece pvp set or should I try to get iron blood or something else
3:25 Wow, caught a teabagger on stream. ZOS will insta-ban for that.
REPORTED
That's so stupid
Delta. You're not in the UK are u? Just seen your doppelganger. Lol love your videos. Keep up the good work.
I know it's been a while, but I'm glad you're back man. Some of your videos a few years back were not my favorite. The stuff you've been posting recently is top notch though.
You should go over Duel setup secrets. That shit is funny too on what people are using.
Damn he really pointed right at me and said "You know who you are" :L
Back or Front bar for major in minor protection?? Asking because it only applies to one bar, and I’ll be on my front by the most
Video was interesting, but not everyone who plays wants to do PvP it is mostly for those who can't comprehend their is a story behind the game. The PvP is just a bonus.
I was not ready for that batman gif 😂
Watching Deltia's Gaming ESO PvP in 2022 makes me feel young again. (That's not an old joke. Well, against myself, I guess it is. Never mind.)
Show us thé secret Deltia after 20 years we deserve it!
Question about Pain's refuge: would you want to keep the minimum points in Mystic Tenacity such that you don't limit the time of negative effects on you?
Yes, only put 10 points in it
Wonder if ironblood is good for stamsorc
I don't think so nor have I used it. You are the EXACT opposite of magplar and that's all speed. Try Dragons Appetite and Master DW.
Another great vid Deltia!
Glad you enjoyed!
3:34 lmfao What is that from?
Biggest trick if you want to 1vx.
Play when it doesn't lag like crazy because otherwise numbers will win when you cast one buff refresh for 4 seconds xD
great video. very helpful and informative
was not ready for that batman gif. now I'm uncomfortable.
Correct 100% I do this too
i started at 16k hp. yes it hurt llike hell when i faced off against werewolves, vamps and jabplars at first but my pve build ate them alive if i initiated before they did. i now still run this build and average 3 kills per death. occasionally ill run into one of these hyper tanky players and it becomes a game of slowly burning them down before there allies appear or they catch me in a stun.
i practiced mobility and postitioning and a burst refusing to use healing, stuns or damage reductions. now i use the mage guild entropy on multiple targets to keep my hp maintained, also helps me track players who dont go invis, if they do go invisable the animation just comes from the last position they were when they wherent invisable.
@Abscess PC NA.
ok
One doge roll (proceeds to cloak*)
@@albundy7991 no I stated LOS. Simply Dodge rolling "through" your attackers "not away" breaks LOS long enough for a burst heal.
Magblade is overpowered lmfao
Love you, Deltia.
Being a walking soulgem... genious xD
So what should I do if I seek validation through PvP performance but am not a sweat lord?? 🤣🤣
30k health , 33k armor at full health with Pariah set, Vamp stage 3, Skull Kandy food, and slotted flare for 10% dmg reduc..................................................
wait for it.......................................
im still melting like butter.
Running selenes, pariah Front bar ---> Unfathomable darkness backbar... with Serpents shrine coil necklace.....
2h maul + 1h maul and shield
Got 12k pen WITHOUT MAJOR/MINOR BREACH.......................................................................................................................................................
ITS NOT WORKING!
Pvp pro tip. Hide the novelties in your bedroom before you bring your date home. Thanks for the vid!
Took ur advice on leveling 2 new characters in battlegrounds only. Definitely dont freak out as much.
So Deltia, when you're bounding in ESO do you still say, " I'm up, they see me, I'm down."
FRAG OUT
U forgot one potentates doesn't count as major or minor so extra 3% damage reduction
But no good player is runnin potentates
I still get smashed by spin to win through rocks tbh and keep walls lol
It's me. I'm the poor little lamb.
Mary had a little lamb....
Well no one is gonna become a sweat overnight due to learning from this video. Also I'm sure you were passed down tips and knowledge before lol
Thats a good video. But tbh advising people to use sets like ironblood or engine guardian is like telling FPS players to go prone in some bushes with thermal lmg. Full carry. Thats got nothing to do with being a good player.
You forgot to mention the Voldengrun and how many Elder scrolls are stacks for your team and your opponent!
I try emailing u but it didnt go tru
