Pro Tip: practice medium weave with inferno staff. The visual aid being one fireball (light) versus 2 (medium/heavy) so you can get muscle memory for the fastest timing for medium weave
On the PC, the default key for tab targeting is - you guessed it - the TAB key. I find it too awkward to use though, so I've remapped it to the "v" key.

Lucky, on console, it’s r3. Which is clicking AND holding your right thumb stick. But uh oh, you just went sneak mode, and also failed to target the right person. So yeah, appreciate the fact you can map your buttons.

A good way to know if a set can proc off a medium attack is if it says “Heavy Attack” if it says “Fully-charged heavy attack” then it can’t. The game counts medium attacks as heavy attacks that aren’t fully charged.
pretty sure nothing proccs from a medium since a patch ages ago...medium attack only serves as a half-heavy cc like he showed in the vid, every procc needs a LA or full HA
@@naplzt4k Vateshran 2h procs off a medium attack. Deadlands assassin also procs off a medium attack.
I just found this video and it explains sooo much to me about what's killing/stunning me when it looks like nothing happened or a skill wasn't used! I'm going to start putting some of these into practice since I've been in Cyrodiil almost on a nightly basis.

Tip for guys who may use an alternate controller layout on PS4/5 - Hold Square - if on Template B (where you moved jump from the interact button X to R3) for tab targets.

I forgot how important light attack weaving is, ive been doing it for so long that its become second nature like buffing and pre buffing. I personally got used to it early because in 2014 staves were the strongest weapon specially since stam wasn’t fully fleshed out. But what help me master it was playing a magicka sorcerer since they rely on it the most in pvp imo. Good tips a little nice tip ill share is if you play stam and lets say you have a back bar bow you can initiate the dodge on your front bar and quickly swap to the bow bar to get the major expedition from bow, its faster than swapping to bow and then dodging. Little things like that really do make a difference
Super good info on tip 3 man roll canceling is a force to be reckoned with I love me some vigor-rolls or like you touched on merciless bow rolls a good tactic is to roll cancel your bow proc while rolling through a player putting you directly behind them for the stun with concealed leaving them shook, good video!

The 6th secret is, it does it matter what class you play. Learn how to jump while you duelling or 1vX that way you will make a lot of people miss their ults and skills. Best counter trick in Eso 👊🏼🔥
Do you spam the jump or you learned when to use it? I can never see heavys even from npcs lol
Jumping does have some use for sure, especially bunny hop momentum, 1v1s it's just more annoying for range classes to hit you. You basically have to aquire this skill from alot of practice for your gameplay to be smooth. It's a mix of ADHD and rhythm you get in game, you basically just jump consistently, and use skills as normal
@@jackedhanma9487 When i play Magsorc, magblade, magdk i always jump around like a kangaroo.. Specially when i turn defensive.. I will give you 1 example, lets say we are duellong im stam toon and you are mag i put my debuffs on you while you jumping and dropped an ulti. If my dawnbreaker hit you while you jumping u landed 2,3 meter away and i cant execute you..
I jump all the time, I know the value🤣 I'm just saying it's more annoying for magic classes to fight against than stamina

Tip 2 is key for stamplar with vateshraans and deadlands as you said, you have no idea how long I searched UA-cam for how to medium weave as I thought I wasn’t doing it right . If only I had this vid a week ago 😀

Side note on Tip 1: This is extremely useful against players that use Engine Guardian or Sorcs with pets. You will avoid accidently spending ults or large hits on their pets by targeting them.

I knew about this but its not a tab targeting, its cycle trought ennemis, and LoS still apply, so if e.g is in between, he will still eat the meteor, its not like ffxiv where the target is locked and all single target skills will go at him no matter what,
Ive done a few test and in no circumstamce the target will be like "lock on" for single target like LA or frag.
But if you aim in between a "preferred target" and let e.g, the former will be favored to be targeted.

This was something I was going to bring up. Probably one of the most useful things about tap target is that all single target attacks go to the marked target. Very useful to focus a target in the middle of a group or with pets.

For tip 1 if you’re on console… press and hold the right thumb stick while the player is highlighted to mark them.
My R3 does bar swap ;)

I used to hate wanting to learn how to Light Attack weave...but nowadays, it's practically just breathing.
For sure sometimes I forget sometimes the basic to explain to ppl as I've played this way for years
Templar is the only class Ive noticed that you can actually double tap light weeves between your spamable, it's nasty damage and creates hella sustain and ulti regen.
I also didn't know about tip 1 this going to help me gank zerglings with ease thank you 🙌🏻

@@HouseTre007 yes I've noticed puncturing sweeps and bitting jams both allow a double light attack weave. The light attacks after jabs come out much quicker then spamming two light attacks by themselves. It's powerful. I've only noticed it on my Templars though. If any other class can do it with their spamable I'd like to know.

tip 4, yes you can get in there by other ways lol, vivec city is the starting area when i first played, and not even a few days in i noticed them on the map and me and my friend tried hard to get into one of those boxes and we found a way to get in using horses with the closest patch of land. not even leveled up speed horses loll
Tab-target is mostly so that you (in PVP) can hit THAT specific target in a zerg. Typically someone you want to take out specifically, like a snipe stacker or a healer or whatever. If you have him targeted, he can't hide behind others, you will still target that dude, even if others stand in front of him. It works "so-so", sometimes you still hit others, but afaik this is what Tab-target is used for in ESO. Like if you want to target the "chain ghosts" on final Vateshran boss, and not the bone colossus trash stacking in front of it.
Also to avoid pets, blastbones, ...
add bash cancels along with roll and barswap cancels, also bhops and dont forget to block at the end of your rolldodges if you're low life cause good players will wait for the end of your roll to land the execute
One more little thing to shadow Image i think u can cast it while already jumping to create the shadow from where u jumped

Hi here from Brazil, I always watch your videos and one thing really catches my attention, I saw that your penetration is something like 3k and something and I wonder if that alone is enough for a good performance in PVP. Do you think weapon damage outweighs penetration? How much penetration would you say is enough in PVP?

Believe it is the Spiderkith skin from Cradle of Shadows dungeon. Need to complete a no death, speed run, and hard mode clear of the dungeon. They don’t have to be all in one run either.

Ohh #1 is really nice. I wasn't doing pvp in a long time and tried to deff a keep. I saw them almost inside the keep and wanted to enter it from another side to be able to deff from inside but they were waiting for me with a group of 3 behind an entrance and at first I was a little surprised and I messaged the one who killed me xD he said he was using tab target so he knew where I was going and I didn't think of it xD
Great stuff and its all true. Me personally I was spoiled rotten. I met a 1vxer when I was like 300 cp and he taught me all that. It's like you said, if your're not doing this stuff you're playing the game wrong.
There was an archer on one of the BG platforms plinking arrows at me. I used Toppling Charge and jabbed him in his face til he was dead.

The video is really good and helpful but I have a question that actually extends for most people doing videos about ESO stuff: is it really necessary make such long videos? Most of them goes from 20 up to 40 minutes or even more.
For example: you took 4 minutes only to tell that you can mark someone and it will help keep track and focus him, couldn't you make it more simple and objective instead repeating the same thing for minutes?

Well, when I explain marking it requires explanation of how you can use it. What it's actual benefits are, I tried to make it as short as possible. But without explanation it puts it on the person to figure out uses. And for a newer player they may not understand its true benefits
Always use tip 1 on healers to stay on them or tanks to avoid them

On PC platform games its called "Tab target" - gaming standard
Bit surprised, on the hard targeting section, that you didn't mention its best use; avoiding your damage being eaten up by pets/engine guardian etc. I mainly only remember to use it when I see a pet sorc coming at me.
That's the main purpose of tab targeting btw
I’ve never seen tab targeting do anything aside from highlight an enemy so I can track them. Skills still hit whatever the hell they want
@@steven20653 Admittedly it's been a while since I tested it, and this game seems to change faster than I can be bothered to keep up of late, but there was definitely a time when hard targetting someone guaranteed that your damage would hit them and not someone or something body blocking them. I can even remember a video demonstrating it on Kyleo's channel.
@@steven20653 Just did a simple test with 2 dummies. Hard target the one at the back, position so another should be in the way and single target damage bypassed the nearer one and hit the one with the hard target. Still works. Hence why I would do it against pet sorcs and anyone using EG.
@@wherestheoptoutoptionmfs I mainly pvp and tab target all the time. I also main ganks. So trust me when I say it doesn’t work for crap on a pet sorc. Unless that player is afk your attacks will hit the bird, the IMP and the engine guardian they always wear well before you can land two successive hits on the sorc.

Excellent tips; didn’t know you were doing commentaries. You’re a natural. If I may, I would add: moving to the player weak side. Most players are right handed, so moving to their left side will frustrate them and prevent your character from being targeted. Another tip is changing you bar swap to R3 using PlayStation access-ability settings; you can cancel and still be on target since you don’t have to remove your hand from the analogue stick. Learn to play claw and thank me later. I’m out.
Yeah I have to custom keybind, but I use L3, I made a video about settings few months back that's why I didn't mention it here because it will incorporate PC as well as console. For sure going on their flank is effective but I find it just as effective to strafe through them so they have to turn their camera all the way around, especially range class like sorc
Oh and I'm not a natural 🤣 checkout my videos from 6 months ago, this was an acquired trait through practice and consistently doing it

I know it's not a thing, but I swear on my life that it is, if you roll dodge cancel with a light into surprise attack, it hits a lot harder than the same light-surprise without the roll dodge... I've had people say I'm full of shit when I suggest it to other nb's... But nb is ALL I play and I know for sure it works... Rolling forward or backwards increases the eff out of it every time...

Most important tip is TOA. There is no easy way to get good at PVP except for TOA. (Time under attack). You need to learn how to react.

With bar swap canceling every skill has a one second global cooldown so you’re not actually doing skills faster, however there are some skills that have longer animations than one second so this helps with shorting those, this can also help in pvp to disorient your enemies because they won’t see what abilities you’re doing. For the most part though this can’t make you attack any faster.
Execute canceling kills the person faster. Which might be the difference between a kill and your opponent escaping with a roll dodge or burst heal
The funny thing,I have a perfect internet, but my bar swap never works smooth! Fact is, nothing works smooth, it is always laggy, delayed significantly, so I can never do weaving, bar swap or anything relaying immediate triggers.
The "Blue Betty" skill is one I always swap-cancel, because I can't stand how long the animation takes.
I agree but Betty can be spammed for a free purge also which is amazing.
LA weaving is very fun until you cant do them because of the lag or general crapshoot performance this game has.

great video showcasing all the broken game mechanics that give people an edge. Sad that zos has never fixed these.
Well, nothing stops you from using these "broken" mechanics.
Tab targeting also makes sure that your L&H attacks, skills hit the targeted player only. In case there are multiple players in a close proximity. Great for focusing a healer if they are ball grouping.

Tab targeting in this game isn't actually tab targeting, it's more of a highlight. If other players stand in your tab target player it will not hit your target.
@@Claude-Vanlalhruaia yes it will. It’s been tested and used by raid groups in pve to make sure you are hitting the proper mob. If someone is in front of your tab targeted opponent they will be disregarded.

You can test it simply by tab targeting a target, point in general direction but not directly at the target, use light attack and it won't hit because it's not a true tab target system which are usually point target mechanic where attacks will always target and hit the tab targetted target (excluding hit chance, missed chance, dodge,etc).
ESO is an action mmorpg, tab target is purely for highlight though it will give some low level of priority to the tab targgeted target which is miniscule and needs to have a direct pathway from your attack to the target however small that is. It will in no way go through another objects, players or anything if there is no direct path. It can look like it does because of lag and desync in animation and actual skills triggered timing.

It feels as if they took it out, can't do it much anymore even with wild hunt and rag out of combat when they messed up blocking feels like u can't do it much anymore I tested it b4 this video wasn't as reliable as before. Maybe it's just a pc thing?

PVP latency: I hear you hate skill delay, so I added 2 sec delays to bar swaps, canceling and roll dodges. Now you can enjoy double the global CD when you need to act most! Where you gonna go?... final fantasy... ha!
