Amazing video! I love how you break down literally everything and give potential alternatives and why youd take them. Thank you for all the work put into this!
The best tip I ever got in PvP: When in doubt just vigour+roll repeatedly with major expedition from any source, preferably bow. This is the best defensive maneuver in PvP and it will train you in knowing the flow of dodge rolling. In time you will do it with other abilities which imo is a very large part of the skill involved in PvP as well as LA weave, knowing when to retreat/regroup/block etc. At least 4 well fitted is much recommended, you can also do it with magicka heals. If you learn to do it well on NB you basically cant die, any other class it improves survivability dramatically.
Very helpful video. I just started pvping as a healer a couple of months ago (small group open cyro) and this is very useful info for me. I’m running Grace of the gloom (heard about from you) and heartland with powered and defending (I’m pretty much a strictly support turtle outside of the occasional crescent sweep). I have MS which effects my reaction time, so I think I’ll always keep the training wheels Grace of the Gloom gives me. I still struggle a lot with blocking and roll dodging at the right time, but it’s getting better over time.
As a joke I actually started playing Cyrodiil because I had a writ quest that needed the Unchained Aggressor set. Ofc you could just get that in guilds but I thought that was boring. Now it’s day 4 in my Cyrodiil “vacation” and I am so hooked in the PvP stuff. From dying almost instantly all the time to being able to last at least 5 seconds in a fight (lol) and finally being able to have nice, fun duels that can last minutes. Still dying a lot though but I can at least pull off a handful of 1v1s Plus +1 for the video it helped me a lot!
I've been desperately looking for a new MMO to play, and PvP is the one thing that usually determines whether I try a game or not. Watching you PvP instantly made me want to play, and see what it's all about. Thank you!
This video was extremely helpful. I play 95% PVE so I struggle with PvP. After watching this I had my best game ever due to slight changes in my play style based on your feedback (sorc burst damage off streak) and some small stat adjustments. Awesome vid
Best advice I can give to a new PvP player that actually wants to get good is to not zerg. Sure its fun as hell and can be a great starting point into getting used to things however you will not improve your own individual skill by zerging. I recall I used to feel 'scared' or intimidated when I was solo and saw an enemy player. I would try kill them and just die in a blink of an eye, I used to blame the build I was using or the class. The youtube video said it was good so why was it not working for me?? I started dueling a good player, 1v1, and I got destroyed over and over again for HOURS on end. No lie. After a while though you shake off that nervousness of PvP and you begin how to properly react in fights, how to use your skills, how to keep yourself alive. People think its so simple, like ofcouese you hit the heal button when low hp! But then what? You have no experience and you just fumble in the dark. Being in a big group will never make you learn what you doing wrong and you will not improve. Going solo is intimidating as fuck when you new but if you can find a dueling buddy and take some time, you will improve greatly and fall in love with PvP :)
Wish there were more people like you in that case, my friend. The PvE guild I play with is great and I am mainly a PvE player because I love Elder Scroll lore and story content, but I would like to get better at PvP if only I don't get obliterated any time I try.
I don't know if it's good advice for a new player to go out just to get shredded by solo players and small scalers over and over again lol Better stay with the zerg and just have some fun. If anyone really wants to dig deeper and actually progress he will have more than enough chances to challenge others on his own later...
Keep in mind that most of those "New players" rn arent there to expérience pvp, but farm AP, that being said, their objective isnt to get better but rather get the thing they want, fast and easy, so zerging à keep get more AP than Killing 10ppl, and its far less risky. Zerg is also a learning tool, it allow you to stay alive, learn some basics without getting 2 tap, sure it has it limit and at some point you need to move on something else so you arent only relying on teammate to make up for your mistake
lol there is a reason why every PvPer in WoW or New World spends their spare time outside Orgrimmar or Stormwind duelling... you have just named it... great insight...
Just play templar or dk and u will do fine lol, easiest classes plus overpowered . Love your videos man you always do great work and are so respectful.
Thank you!! Awesome video and another one I will add to my list to point new PvP players to. I love the way you advise tayloring the build to the person's own capabilities! My old fingers have a slower react time than they did even 5 yrs ago, doesnt mean I dont love my games, just means I have adjusted my play style.
I've been running a Magplar PVP build with your guidance, and I feel like it's just not fair to other players when I play against them lol. Combined grace of gloom, war maiden, and engine Guardian. Battle grounds is cake, and I can fight high level CP players in Cyrodil too. I'm only 450 CP and killing those 1k+ CP players is so satisfying 😌. Planning to unlock antiquities after the event is over 👌. Thanks for your help and guidance!!!
Thank you delta! Hopefully you continue this series of beginning to pvp because I know my friends and I were clueless before this. Can you include some details like the buffs/ debuts you get in pvp zones still not quite sure what’s going on there
Excellent video. And I couldn't help laughing at the line...."do you have quick reflexes? if not, how slow are you?" XD And, by the way, that dark convergence/necro moment near the bridge was pure filth.
Good luck having a good reaction time with the amount of lag in open world pvp. Bars not changing and potions not going off. I put up with it because it “can” be extremely fun.

16k is a ton oh pen, remember PvP is not PvE so some people run around with 27k armor others 15k. I prefer less pen on my mag sorc and more max stats because it effects both offensive and defensive potential. I run 2 trainee, willpower instead of Spinners but spinners will hit very hard for sure.

Just know that you will mostly be either outnumbered or outnumber yourself so no fair fights in cyrodiil. Also be prepared for guild blob groups creating their own walking lag . Oh and u will get hit by 30 k damage in one second due to lag and deal with totally broken builds due to zero meaningful balance in game. Other than that it's fun.
The problem with this game is the controller does register the skills or other functions. I constantly have to press abilities multiple times to work once. I've only been playing a couple months and I'm no where near someone who's been playing for a lengthier amount of time. What should I do? Everything is quite expensive. I'd really like to get into pvp but it feels like it's really expensive to do glyphs and jewelry, so forth
Question? Why do content creators not show new players setups from 10 to cp160. All content creators are way way higher. The new players need help before and up to cp 300. Thank you for your response
We just need a video of how people are landing 5 abilities at once. Quite literally. PVP in ESO has dwindled severely since I first started playing. And there's an obvious reason. The lack of uniqueness and negation of GCD. Nevermind meta, there's an exact ability combo that we see on death recap every time, depending on class... There's clearly an edge a lot of people aren't aware of and that's the abuse of negating global cooldowns.. it's a very specific order of abilities cast, so that they "rubberband" and land all at once. It's the same combo I see (depending on class) basically every. single. deathcap. Most will know exactly what I'm talking about here. Just tell us the rubberband combo of each class and everybody would turn into a god overnight 😂
Here because ever since CP 2.0 I just feel like straight dookie water in pvp. 🤣 *edit* Are the healing slottables just useless? seems like lot of people dont bother with them
@Deltiasgaming tysm deltia. I thought I had some sort of issue with my golded out plaugebreak sprigaan selene build and it completely made me quit the game altogether cause I wanted to pvp then I watched your video about pvp help. Putting all my points into health and not trying to min max stamina changed everything. Oh and the emphasis on it not being static rotation and actually buffing and burst. Thanks again.
Meh. after seeingh several different videos, and so many options, I just realize , none of this matters. Gear, build, etc. You can wing it and stand the same chance or even more , regardless of using all these siupposed pvp builds. Just luck of the draw. Some people just have tons of cash and money invested, and if u face them, you get one shot. PvP in game is pretty broken. Just the fact.
I can’t stand the PvP in this game it’s hot trash. I thaught Elden Ring and Dark Souls was unbalanced. But Holy Shit this game takes the Crown in that regard. What a mess.
the downside to eso pvp imo is just how its a completely different game than pve, different sets, skills, attributes. heck even the set distribution is all different.
Hope this helps, here's some sample builds regardless of class if you need: deltiasgaming.com/2021/06/22/eso-beginner-pvp-builds/

Lets say your target runs some crit resist, you are still getting at least 20% to 30% damage boost on crits. Trial by fire good defence set in medium armour for pvp?
What’s a good baseline for stats. Like min of 5k damage, 5k pen, min crit chance?
5500 wp/sp damage, 25k resist, 30k health, crit change around 20-30% 5k pen good balance.

Yes I'm new. How do I leave cyrodiil?
LOL stop!
@@Deltiasgaming D:
Here because ever since CP 2.0 I just feel like straight dookie water in pvp. 🤣
*edit* Are the healing slottables just useless? seems like lot of people dont bother with them
They are good on Nightblades that lack burst healing. But generally, damage reduction is better to stack.
@@Deltiasgaming that makes a lot of sense. thanks for your input!
Man I wish this had cross save
So 17k is definitely over penetration for pvp?
Itll be a lot of damage
@Deltiasgaming tysm deltia. I thought I had some sort of issue with my golded out plaugebreak sprigaan selene build and it completely made me quit the game altogether cause I wanted to pvp then I watched your video about pvp help. Putting all my points into health and not trying to min max stamina changed everything. Oh and the emphasis on it not being static rotation and actually buffing and burst. Thanks again.
Step 1: live in NA.
I lag often in pvp.
Meta too sweaty just have fun.
Think there is 2 mike p in here lol
I avoid pvp cos i rage too easily with players ganking. No joke saddly. I dislike campers, spamming, swearing cos it brings me in a toxic mindset
That's fair it does get annoying. Try Zoals monster helm with slippery CP. It's great :)
Listen to Kenny G while you play.
we would like to contact you on your horse extended warranty
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Ya I have no idea wtf your talking about. I don’t know where to craft or find these sets or any set I’m lost
The main question : Is Eso P2W game ?
Meh. after seeingh several different videos, and so many options, I just realize , none of this matters.
It's like a new game which is why ppl don't jump in easy.
In the past, like pre Morrowind expansion, I saw that as an upside. The Warden was the beginning of the end.
