@@ceeyalata1648 Ha! ha! Glad I was able to offer some small benefit to you, in exchange for the great review. (I love to learn, too...especially new words. Collect 'em all! 🙂 )
Just wanted to say thank you. I’m fortunate enough to be receiving this as a gift. I’ve cooked all my life yet I get nervous about using countertop appliances for first time. You seem like a great teacher. You are calm, precise, and thorough….and seem up front about everything to explain. Just wanted to say thank you again.
@@alemwoldeyes I've done some simple stuff so far, def have to cut back on cook times as you'll overcook everything if you strictly follow the guide. Grilled chicken, burgers, sausages, eggplant. Air fried tots, fries, chicken tenders, eggplant (love eggplant), zucchini. Works like a champ. I think it's all down to the marinades and seasoning but no complaints.
I'm so glad to learn from you! You have such a nice calm techy approach. I learned how to use my original Foodi from you (Shark Ninja lags in the tutorial area). On unboxing my 8 qt XL, I'm already appreciating that the pressure release valve stays put (I don't know how many times I dropped that on my feet when I cleaned the pressure lid, it's heavy!). And of course I'm stoked only to have one lid, and to try out all the features. I have missed the yogurt function from my old Instant Pot, and can't wait to try sous vide and dehydrate, and the bread proof and steam bake for bread is exciting. I hope this pot resists chipping better than the original did, that was not cool - I am iffy enough on a nonstick surface, but when it's chipping, those flakes go into our food.
Jeremy, that one one of the BEST videos I have watched in a long time. I were casual and rolled with the flow of the cook and stayed on point. You have talent, my friend!! I liked and subscribed and will view you other video as time allows me. My new Foodi will be here in another 2-3 days, my current one still works great but I like the single lid and additional features. You would make a great neighbor but I don't wish Illinois on anyone, LOL.
Great video ! You explained everything so nice, I am a beginner with Ninja one lid and you give me many answers to my questions about how to cook. Thank you!
Awesome video Jeremy, my old Foodi has been a great investment over the last few years but the yogurt (major Greek yogurt fan) and sous vide functions on this one made me upgrade! Picking mine up later today
Thank you for the very nice review & tips! I just bought a Ninja OL701 with thermometer from someone on Facebook Market Place for $80!!! 😍😱 NEVER USED! Too big for the seller, she said! SCORE FOR ME!!! Amazon Warehouse has one in LIKE NEW condition for $204 if anyone is looking for one! I’m still going to keep my original two lid 6.5 quart, which I love & use all the time! 😍 Thanks for sharing! Great job!
Love these vids, but man they make me hungry, lol. You always know it's going to be a good bird when the meat falls off the bone so easily. Looks like a great product. Excellent review!
We just got ours last week and the first thing we cooked was chicken. It was pressure cooked for 20 minutes then air fried for 25 minutes. It was the nicest juiciest chicken we’ve ever eaten, I always said slow cooking was the best way to cook a chicken but I’m not so sure now. Really enjoyed your video 🤤
Hi Paul, do you need to manually vent after the pressure cook is done or will it do it automatically. I assume you can't air fry or open the lid until the pressure is normalised?
I just won this Ninja and wanted to see a quick video on it. As a fellow UA-camr with a cooking channel I wanted to take the time to tell you that you made a very good video. Lots of details and very easy and interesting to watch. Thanks and Happy New Year.
Great video! I have the 6.5 with Sous Vide, an awesome feature, I have used it several times, especially good for steaks. My dad swears by his yogurt function.
I just ordered one of these and it is due to arrive this week. I'm not a patient person when it comes to my kitchen gadgets lol. Great video! You have me starvin like marvin 😋
I have the old foodi, the the two lid thing is annoying, but I don't need another kitchen gadget, I don't have room for all of these things, I use to make fun of my mom for having a electric carving knife, now I'm turning into her.
I have no idea how many people will need to go “softer on the teeth” which I found quite funny, but the review was informative and shows the abilities of the Ninja. I’ve just ordered one so looking forward to it arriving. What would you say are your top 5 best cooks with this? Cheers.
I just got mine and I don't get how people think that noise level is a) acceptable b) not annoying as heck. Compared to a duo crisp the difference in tone and volume is nuts
That was my thought also if it's anywhere near as loud as it sounded in the video.. of the many air fryers I've had, I've never had one nearly this noisy
Hello Jeremy just seen ur video an that steam an crisp is awesome looking an hope to see many more videos from you love my ninja products an really want the new pressure cooker I've try to do the steam an crisp with my older version an it did ok but not as nice as ur thxs again 😉
14:40 look at that engine going. And all that steam splashed around non stop. I think just doing pressure cooking and air frying is still better way to go. I don't know what steam and crisp is supposed to achieve really. If the food is not that different, then I would prefer to more silent and less mess setting and equipment.
So if I upgrade, what do I do with my old one? I don't need two (tiny family). So, the old one would just collect dust? I purchased mine back in 2019 and it's well-maintained. However, who would buy a 2nd hand old model? I wouldn't! It would be great if Ninja took trade-ins like an automobile LOL.
It is ok to clean them, I do it all the time but only on the outside because my Ninja is not this new one. It's not possible to clean the coils on the inside and that is not good. I use a wet cloth only because I do not believe that I should use cleaning products, I do it as soon as the coils are cool. I will upgrade to this one now.
Hi, thank you for the video,...I have just buy this ninja and I have question, why I can not open the lid at steam & crisp fonction like you demonstrate? thank you!
Jeremy, would you make a video on sous vide in the Foodi? Could one sous vide cook, then sear a steak from below and broil from above at the same time? (As in, heat up the pot with sear/sauté and then switch to broil but the pot is still hot below.)
Gosh you give the best reviews👍 I have one concern though and hoping you can give me your thoughts on it. With this newest model with one multi lid when pressure cooking do you think all that moisture would possibly cause damage to the heating coils now that they are exposed with type of cooking? Thank you
I don't cook whole birds outside of holiday events (my husband is grossed out when seeing the bird as a bird 😅) but this looks phenomenal!! I just bought my first, switching over the ninja from instant pot. I'll have to make this as my first dinner when I get it set up! Thanks so much for the review and lovely recipe!
It's it just me or is the air fryer mode very noisy? We had the previous model ninja foodi and now we have a 15-in-1 new model and it's SOO loud! The video shows it loud too, so is that normal??
I'm just disappointed it doesn't have the temperature probe. That Preset feature is a winner for me : stops cooking automatically when the right temperature is reached. I guess I'll wait for that to come in before purchasing this.
Does it preheat on it's own because the other one doesn't preheat by itself then beeps when it's done. You have to add extra time then put the food in.
I wondering if I should get this one. I got the foodi DZ201 for Christmas but I'm wondering if it worth it for the OL501 and if it does rice? I've never owned one before.
Ninja used to be junk but they have turned it around and now leading the kitchen appliances market, got to give them credit. Since they are linked I'm guessing Shark will soon lead the robot vacumm market, 1 or 2 more models.
