- Another video taking you through the complete process of engraving and finishing a copper coin.
Coin blanks are available at umburry.com/coin-blanks.
I try to keep several different metals in stock
I know how to create 3d models, but I don't know how to draw in raster or vector programs. Can a laser machine accept a .stl file with the correct dimensions (e.g. 0.25 mm engraving depth)? Or do I need a vector or raster file?
cool video, where do you get such copper coin blanks from, i have a laser myself and would like to try this for myself
Im wanting to put images on to copper and want them to come out dark as possible.
Awesome video. Is this a 50w?
Great job on the coin! Where can I pick up the jig you use for coin placement on the laser bed?
Which software is used for design
Hi, Thanks For Your Video..Very Interesting. Thank You. Can I Ask Something? In Ezcad Automaticly Hatch The Center's Font Higher? How About I Want The Font in the Center Lower Than The Coin? Can I ? How do that in Ezcad ? Thank You
Bit irrelevant question. Is a camera lens (either mobile or dslr) 100% safe when you shoot so close to the laser beam? Speaking for the density(high brightness) of the laser, not potential reflection only
can you expain this process for metal (HSS) die, also which chemical use in these process.i have really need to your guidence.
The chemical is called "Brass Black"
👏👏👏👏
Cant wait till you get more coins in stock! What are the two sand papers you use? How many passes did you do on the 50w laser?
Hopefully less than one week I will have more . I start with 400 then jump to 1500 and 7000
@@codyumberger5101 awesome! Up till now ive been using silver and gold coins sanded down. This is so much more affordable!
about 25 to 30
@@codyumberger5101 I hope that is grit and not passes! LOL
Cool 😎
Monumental
hello please tell me where you can buy such blanks. thanks
I make and sell them
What laser do you use? Very interesting!
I can't answer specifically, but he is using a fiber laser of some sort.
Fiber laser would also be my guess, as you can't do anything to copper with a CO2 laser and much less a diode laser.
Do you make coins of someone own design?
Yes
How can I contact you to send my design? Thank you.
@@odeltarkhan3033 you can email me at sales@umburry.com but I'm pretty busy now doing small runs for people i generally don't like to do single coins as it's not worth the set up time
What wattage fiber laser are you using? Thanks!
50w, I would not go lower than that if you plan on doing pure copper
This is amazing! such great work.... may I ask, how long did you leave the coin in the Brass Black?
At full strength about 1 or 2 mins
@@codyumberger5101 thanks :)
Where did you buy the brass coin blank? And the clear case?
It scrubs off
